I've been getting my hair cut here for about 2 years now and I figured that it was about time I wrote a review. The shop is always clean, has a great atmosphere, and I've always been made to feel welcome when I came in. Parking out in front of the shop can be tough depending on the time of day since it's on a main street, but there's always parking in the lot behind the shop. Their appointment system is really easy to use (through their Resurva website) and you can see what days/times are available with just a couple clicks. Tu (the shop owner) has been my barber since I started going in and he's always made sure I left looking a lot better than when I came in. It's clear that he takes a lot of pride in his work and that doesn't stop with the haircuts that he gives. Very cool joint with super friendly people everywhere. Arrived early and didn't wait very long. Haircut, goatee trim and shave were awesome. Ethan asked great questions every step of the way. First time checking out this barbershop today and was 100% pleased with service, experience, and atmosphere. I walked in today for the first time in two months since the covid 19 stay-at-home order, and was pretty nervous only because my hair was overgrown, and first time giving this shop a shot. As i walked in, I felt more at ease not only because every single barber was wearing a face mask, but also because I was greeted by each staff member which made me feel welcomed. The barber shop is very clean, detailed, organized and gives off an awesome atmosphere. Unlike other barbershops that have a club-like feel where only regulars and favorites are greeted, you will not get that here. Everyone is greeted and tended to right away. Immediately I was tended to and asked if I had an appointment or would like to be checked in. Luckily I had already booked an appointment with JR, so there was no wait time at all. I get my cuts with Emilio he does a nice job making you feel comfortable and he always has good machines, they cut your hair like butter his Fades are out of this world! We have been coming to Riverside Shave Co and Tu for years. Our son got his first hair cut with Tu at the age of 1 and has been getting his hair cut by him ever since (besides the 2 times I went elsewhere out of desperation and regretted it). My husband is also a regular and Tu does an amazing job at cleaning up the scruff and making him presentable again. The entire staff including Tu and his lovely wife are all so welcoming and accommodating. You are always greeted with a friendly hello when you walk in and they always have a variety of treats for our kiddo while he waits. Everything is clean and well sanitized. They always made it a point to keep their areas nice and organized even before COVID. Booking appointments is easy through the online application and Tu has always made it work for us when we are in a bind. We have had some bad hair cuts in the past and we have dealt with not so pleasant staff members (especially with a toddler). We are so grateful for Tu and all at Riverside Shave Co. Decided to try this place after seeing them on Yelp. Came in late on a Friday around 4. The shop is very clean and attractive both they guys were nice and made good conversation. Brought my 19 year old son who is very picky and left a satisfied customer. Be prepared to wait, these guys take their time and do a great job it has a very rockabilly feel. Found out during my time in the chair that they plan to expand the shop to include a more chairs and a game room.....Cant wait! They take cash and plastic, but there is a $1.00 fee. Tip. First let me say that I have been going here for over a year now. I used to hate getting my hair cut. I was doing those major retail chains with the flavor of the week cutting my hair. I would end up with something along the spectrum of 'WTF, my head looks like a bowl of chili' to 'eh it's acceptable.' Then I found Riverside Shave Co and Ethan! Was impressed with the reviews and photos of this place so I decided to give it a try. I took my nephew in with no appointment and the girl at the check-in counter explained that they were completely booked for the day but that if I wanted to wait and see if there was a no-show they might be able to take him. We had time so we waited the 15 minutes. All their appointments showed up but they were still able to work us in. Total time there was about an hour. Absolutely worth the wait. We saw Tu who was very patient while cutting the hair of a kid who was more interested in the movie they had on than keeping his head still. A kids cut (10 and under) was $15+tip. Great, clean environment and pleasant staff dressed to impress. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an actual barber instead of a salon.
