Hello, my wife saw Junior for a perm on December 19, and asked if he could do the perm as depicted in the first picture. He said yes, he could do the same perm. He asked if she wanted curls like in the picture, and she said yes. One week after the perm, her hair looked like the rest of the pictures. Flat, stringy and uncontrollable. We went back to the shop today, (December 31) to ask for her money back because of the perm not meeting her satisfaction. She met Junior and expressed her dissatisfaction with the perm. He said he cannot give her money back and did not offer any remediation for her issues. Evidently, Junior needs more experience in applying the perm and in customer service. read more

I always receive fantastic haircuts here--the barbers truly know their craft, and if you're looking for a great cut, they can definitely deliver. However, my recent visit was overshadowed by the owner publicly criticizing the barbers in front of customers. The music stopped, the atmosphere became tense, and it was genuinely awkward to witness. If the goal is "The Customer Experience," humiliating staff in front of clients is not the way to achieve it. It's a shame because the barbers do such outstanding work, but the owner's approach completely ruined what could have been a pleasant visit. Tip for the owner: Privately correct, publicly praise. Happy barbers = happy customers. YOU ruined the customer experience here, not them. EDIT: Response to owner's comment "Hey Jonathan I appreciate the feedback but I was joking with the barber I talked about during the meeting we even laughed about it after. I hope you continue to come back and still get a haircut!" No you were not. I was sitting in the chair for 15 minutes while you were talking about "The Customer Experience" while ruining mine. The barber cutting my hair was not happy and his morale was completely ruined. Even prior to the meeting, once the barbers heard you were coming their entire mood shifted. With that being said, even *IF* you were joking during the meeting it is still NOT appropriate. In response to your comment, I was in the chair directly next to the barber you came up to after and it was obviously a forced laughter because they were intimidated by you. Another tip for you since you are trying to justify it by saying "I was joking" Perception is reality. Customers see this behavior and they do NOT appreciate it. I personally want to come back for the BARBERS, the great job they do and the friendly environment they give. You know.... the customer experience... What I don't want to do is contribute to your success given the fact how you treated your barbers today. I told a few people about this barber shop and I viewed it as a 5 star shop until you came in and completely ridiculed your barbers IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS! I get it, it is a BUSINESS. You need to run it as a business, but what you did was absolutely uncalled for and honestly it is borderline harassment to your barbers. I am absolutely not saying don't discipline your barbers. But having that conversation in a public setting was 100% over the line. I've had my hair cut here about 4 times. First two times was decent. The last two they completely fucked my shit up. I ask for a modern mullet with a low burst fade. They cut off all the length in the back, I had curls that looked great and they cut everything off. Having a mullet is self explanatory. All the length is in the back so now I have to wait about 3 months for it to grow back, when I tell you I was pissed I was beyond dissatisfied. The barbers don't listen, even when you give clear instructions. Even the Corona location made me look like a jackass. Went in for a low taper with a gradual transition to the top. Qrt off top and clean up for the beard. This guy Roy talks over you when you explain what look you are going for. His transitions from tapers suck. Gets offended easily and acts like an assh*le. He leaves bulky uneven cuts. Said he cant do my beard cause he ran out of time. No pride in his profession. I've had my boyfriend come here for a while and I recommended this place to my dad I made him a last min appointment which was lucky because they're booked on the weekends. My dad went in the appointment with Javier and there was a walk-in. My dad was asked if he wanted a hair cut and he said yes and he had an appointment with Javier. Javier still took the walk-in before my dad. Disappointment is an understatement. This was my dad's first time to a real barber is years and my boyfriend and I were raving about great service and how well they cut. He wanted to feel good and get a real hair cut instead of going to super cuts and getting some cheap hair cut. I won't lie, my dad was pissed since they didn't honor an appointment. Unfortunately, time to find a new spot and have my boyfriend break up with his barber (lol). This spot is located in the McDonalds and Albertons shopping center. Super cool spot, I made my appointment through Booksy with Luis the owner. I actually lost track of time and he called me 10 minutes after my appointment to ask if I would be coming in. I rushed over there as fast as I could and Luis still provided excellent service and offered me a brew or water. It was Halloween weekend and he had his barbers dress up so that was cool to see. Overall the hair cut was fresh and his service despite me almost missing my appointment was top notch. I don't wanna be disrespectful and I won't mention the barber's name but it's the very first chair to the right yesterday was the second time I visited the barbershop. I had horrible experiences the two time. I thought I'm gonna give it one more try. Barber was so unprofessional. His clippers left me a rash he didn't clean his clippers not once I was very first cut of the day. I went early morning. First time it didn't even look like a blend. It looked like I went to a beauty salon this time as you can see in the picture same thing. But it's not about the blend. The problem is his clippers.
