This was a completely disappointing experience. I am in Beaufort, so my order came from Morehead city. I got the Italian sub and their kettle chips. To begin with, the sandwich was on soft air bought bread, not bakery sub rolls. The meat was a good quality, but, they chipped the tomatoes for it, so they feel out all over the place. There was no oil and vinegar on it. So it was just disappointing. But that was the best part of the meal. I also ordered their kettle chips. They were burnt to a crisp and inedible. I am guessing since I used door dash that I couldn't send them back, so they sent them out burned to a crisp. Very disappointing. Horrible food. All the subs had soggy bread, they used pizza sauce instead of marinara sauce for their pastas, served burnt calzones, and apparently think chicken alfredo is supposed to come with spaghetti instead of fettuccine. Never will be coming back ever!! read more

What you should expect is locally sourced seafood and fine steaks prepared extremely well. For the prices he's charging you might think he's not putting much effort into sourcing and preparation. You'd be wrong. When you take quality ingredients and prepare them with skill and care you're going to get great results. He has a menu, it lists pizza and subs, which are good. But the special board is basically a bistro menu that changes based on the freshest ingredients and what's best. Order something from the board. Steaks, fresh seafood, even bbq beef sliders. I don't see a place to rate the Morehead City branch but they are affiliated sooo. The food Is good. I asked for delivery and wanted to pay with my card of over the phone. She said the driver would bring a card reader when she delivered the food. But beware of delivery service. They delivered to me at work with a card reader. After the woman swiped it and I signed the box I realized it was a cell phone . I asked if it was her cell phone or the business phone and reader. She said it was her personal cell phone. By then it was too late and my card info was in her phone. She said with the reader it goes straight to the restaurant. I expressed that it was probably a bad idea for them to use a employees personal cell phone. I then called the restaurant and expressed my concern that all cell phones collect cookies even when it's a "business reader". The food is high quality at a great price and their daily specials are always on point. Even the side items are amazing. My husband and I are regular customers of this and the Havelock location. This was by far the worst meal I've had in a long time. The food was terrible, the customer service was as well. Our family (kids and parents) are in from out of town and we thought we were taking them for an enjoyable experience. We couldn't be any more wrong. First off, my Chicken Alfredo was just spaghetti noodles and not Fettuccine, I did not get garlic bread...not even after my husband said something and we were told she'd bring it right out, 15 minutes later, still no bread. My Dad's manicotti had pizza sauce over it, not spaghetti sauce...big difference. My Son's hamburger bun was disgustingly soggy, after saying something, he waited 10 minutes and all they did was replace the top bun. My Daughter's Chicken parm sub was soggy, my Mom's Stackhouse burger was supposed to come with BBQ sauce which only has about a drop on it, and my Son's girlfriend waited over 20 minutes for a Calzone and it was so overcooked and burnt throughout. The only one who received a refund was me for the Chicken Alfredo. We were told by our waitress that it's normally not like that and she'd give a complete refund and apologized more than once, she was sweet and genuinely seemed to feel bad. We sat there for about 30 more minutes and my Daughter went to the front to see what was going on. She came back with some money which was the refund for my Chicken Alfredo. They told her because everyone ate most of it and we said we'd take what we didn't eat home, and it was such a big party (total), they weren't going to give a refund to everyone. My husband and youngest were the only ones happy, then again, they had an Italian. How hard is it to mss that up though, seriously. First off, I was not aware of the other issues to say anything in the beginning, second, everyone was starving...she waited over 20 minutes for her calzone, was she supposed to say something and wait another 20 minutes? Thirdly, we packed up our food before we told our waitress about all the issues, We hate wasting food and would rather bring it home and give it to our dog, employees, etc before throwing it away. They did give 4 deserts but there were 8 of us. Really this is unacceptable and we won't be back!!! read more

I would give less than one if I could. I ordered a house pizza with no onions or mushrooms (I'm highly allergic to onions) and even repeated several times no onions or mushrooms. When the pizza arrived (delivery driver extremely nice and friendly) the pizza was loaded with both. I called and explained and they wanted to pick up the delivered pizza (how nasty is it that they want a pizza back that left the store or cheap maybe). The girl on the phone was rude and told me I didn't say I was allergic. I told her that was beside the point and asked what kind of compensation I would get for having to wait another hour for my new pizza. She said she didn't know what that meant. I asked to speak to manager and she asked sarcastically what I wanted for compensation. She offered a dessert. Then she again with dripping sarcasm said she was sorry. I told her I would never order again and again with much sarcasm she said she was sorry to hear that. I always order for take out, and when I go to pick it up, they remind me that they deliver, maybe one day I'll get it right. I've never had to wait for my food to be ready, it is cooked fresh and ready before the time estamated over the phone. Otherwise i always order a steak n cheese or cheese burger sub, my wife likes the small cheese and chicken wings. We have ordered from Riverside 3 Times now. The first two times were for cheeseburgers (which are great), tonight we ordered a Stromboli and a large pizza. We were disappointed....the Stromboli had all the pepperoni stuffed in one end (which I got a giant bite of) while the other end was just cheese. The pizzas crust really needs some work along with the sauce (a bit too acidity)...also....we ordered pepperoni, mushrooms, and olives and got the gross canned mushrooms that are slimy.
