In addition to three tests (Flu, Covid, and Strep), which all came out negative, she checked my lungs, my lymph nodes, etc. etc. She took the time to explain (and print out) what things I had been doing that I should continue, what I should change (and why). She also wrote out a scrip for an anti-biotic, for me to use just in case the new treatments do not have any effect after two more days. She even sent a scrip to my regular pharmacy for some things that are available over the counter, in case that would help me to get them with prescription coverage. So, overall: a great experience while I was feeling pretty crummy. She was professional and empathic. Much more than at urgent care locations, such as Carbon Health. My new go to plan will be to avoid "urgent care" places and go to CVS minute clinics instead.

I visited for a yellow fever vaccine, which involves a subcutaneous injection (administered into the fatty tissue beneath the skin). The injection site seemed a bit unusual (please see the attached picture), and later became inflamed, red, and swollen. I am planning to travel to Africa soon, and the doctor mentioned he would prescribe medication for traveler's diarrhea. However, when I went to the pharmacy, they gave me a prescription for malaria (something we had not discussed) and did not receive the Z-Pak prescription for traveler's diarrhea from the doctor's office. "For the fifth time, are you sure this is the number sir?" No, I'm not sure it's the number. I am positive. And magically after the sixth attempt the number worked. If I were as incompetent as the staff here I would be unemployed. I have received better treatment looking up issues on WebMD. Avoid this place...beware.

I've been there 3x, for 2 family members. The wait time is horrific, has been over 3 hours. And…read moreonce there, the advice is not great. One person went for an ear concern, and the doctor couldn't focus on anything but their acne. He completely brushed off the ear issue and kept offering acne meds. Another one went in for an allergic reaction, and while we were eventually given the appropriate meds, he kept emphasizing the need to see a dermatologist, which was not the case. It was the cause that needed to be treated, not the symptom. I keep going when in a pinch because our PCP's office has less-than-ideal hours and availability, and it's nearby, but the medical care has just not been good.
