My family and I have been going to this medical group since 2004, so I will warn you that this…read moregroup only cares about your money. They don't care about you at all, and they lie straight to your face. The nurses that make the calls/pick up the phone are hostile and horrible to work with. If you go in for an appointment, which costs you 50 dollars (or whatever your copay is) just to go in, you see the doctor for about 3 to 5 minutes and will rush through your appointment as fast as they can, you end up waiting for close to 30 minutes in the exam room before you actually get to see the doctor; more than a 50/50 chance that you'll walk out of the office with a random prescription that doesn't fix your medical issue. I guarantee that you will spend more time waiting than anything else. Another tactic they like to use is holding prescriptions hostage, medications that you need for everyday living, against you if you do not come in for a visit, and they will refuse to give any of the medication until you go in for an appointment. For me, my medication allows me to go through everyday life without having the 10 panic attacks a day that I had been having prior to taking this medication. The nurse that called did not explain why I needed to come in, only telling me that this would be the last refill I would receive without getting an appointment. I told her that I was not comfortable to go in, with everything that's going on right now, and that I did not want to spend 50 dollars for them to do nothing but give me the same prescription that I've been getting for months! It's completely ridiculous. So in conclusion, Don't waste your time or money! DO NOT GO!

I switched PC because Damico takes all of 5 minutes, rushes you through the visit like you are an inconvenience, and throws pills at every problem. Then you have Shah, who is actually better than Damico and takes her time, but then tries folk medicine cures. If you have a PHD, why tell someone to drink apple cider vinegar for heartburn? Yes, you heard this correctly. Every answer she has is some honest to goodness real medicine, yet she throws the low-rent frontier home remedies in like its real science. Then you have Purcel. He's probably the best, but when he takes so much time with his patients that the others have to wait an extra hour and a half to see him (without any staff calling you on the phone to let you know) then you almost want Damico to yank you through an appointment. Then you have the staff. Mean, inattentive, and just plain dim. there are two of the desk personal that are nice. Two. The rest are unfriendly machines that need repairs often. I asked why no one called me to let me know that Purcel was a foul 1.5 hours behind. "We, um, don't call, um, because he may catch up". I informed them that the real reason was it would make the office look bad. Or as I feel, give an accurate portrayal of what really goes on there. Please be advised that no matter how good a doctor may be, his desk staff can ruin anything. Skylands Medical staff are very good at destroying a therapeutic environment with their sour ineptitude. You are better off going elsewhere.

They essentially implied that it was part of the ageing process. A close friend suggested to me to visit Medical Care Associates for getting help. Dr. Sandhu looked at my blood report and put me on a prescription medicine. I have been using the medicine for about a year or so; I have gradually gained all my energy back and I am very active in handling day to day activities. I have been walking (weather permitting) for 3-4 times a week; a little over an hour each time, without getting tired. The doctors are very compassionate and the supporting staff has always been very kind and polite to me. I congratulate them for doing an unmatched diagnostic work followed by putting me on the right medication. My hats off to all the medical professionals at the Medical Care Associates.

Before i got a claim number from work, that was what i would need to give them before they would see me. I could be wrong about being covered at a place like this but I'm pretty sure i am covered through the VA. Anyway, i got the politics worked out and was finally seen for my swollen itchy hand due to a hornet sting. After some vitals were taken and was given a cortizone shot, i was on my way. OK REAL REASON FOR THE 1 STAR........ at the pharmacy, i was told my insurance needed yo further clear my coverage because the Dr prescribed me a 6000 dollar pill!!!! 6000 people, that's your taxpaying dollars funding research on a time release pill that goes for 600 dollars a pill. 10 pills X $600 = 6000 for ONE FREAKIN HORNET STING. ONE!!! And we wonder how it costs us simple folk so much to keep our asses insured.

Suma Ghanta, MD, and Rebecca Keenan, PA are recommended. I…read morevisit this office about 3-4 times per year. Both listen and have been spot-on with diagnoses. I prefer to see Rebecca Keenan, as we have a good rapport, and she knows my history and personality. My husband has seen Dr. Peters, and has been satisfied. This practice has great hours and is close to home. Most of the staff are friendly.

I have read some negative reviews of this practice which almost all focus on scheduling, billing,…read morewait times, and other office related matters that patients have found annoying. I haven't experienced these issues to any greater extent than any other medical practice. Any issue of such a nature that anyone could have pales in comparison to what should be the number one priority - competence and diligence of the doctors. All the doctors I have seen over the many years at this practice have been excellent. I believe Dr. Peters saved my life. After seeing I didn't take any follow-up action (which means she was personally keeping track of me) on inconclusive results on a scan, Dr. Peters called me personally and insisted I go for a biopsy. It was cancer and delaying treatment further could have been catastrophic. The doctor I ask for most often is Dr. Friedman. He is attuned to my preference to avoid meds and helps me focus on preventative care and other solutions. I have heard stories of doctors outside this practice who insist that only a single medical concern be addressed at a visit. Dr. Friedman will address as many unrelated concerns as I bring up at a single visit. Getting a proper diagnosis can be the most critical aspect in addressing a medical issue. Dr. Miccio's diagnostic skills are quite remarkable and the greatest asset of the practice. Countless times over the years he has zeroed in on the cause for some issue that other doctors had neglected to think of. For years my son had a recurring open sore on his cheek in the exact spot where, when he was a baby, a child bit him. For years other doctors said that was a coincidence and tried all kinds of ineffective treatments. I finally saw Dr. Miccio who immediately suspected it was not a coincidence and had the sore tested. It was herpes from the bite. The treatment he then prescribed was astoundingly effective. When weighing the positives and negatives of one practice over another, I think it's imperative to focus on what's really important for one's health instead of minor annoyances due to office related issues that, in my experience, are common to most practices.

I have had several issues with dealing with this provider. Last time I made an appointment last…read moreyear... Nobody ever gave me a reminder call and it was three months past the time I had made the appointment. So say I made in October the appointment three months later... Nobody ever called me for a reminder call. And today... I had gone to an appointment that I had made a few days ago which again no reminder call for today, but also no assistance on where to find the building. I have never been to the Hackettstown location and the Hackettstown location. There's only 15 minutes away from my house. I was supposed to be there on time today with five minutes to spare. However, my GPS was take me to the wrong buildings , and then when I finally found the location, it was behind all this construction that was not easy to get to with all the trucks that were in my way at the time. Nonetheless, I had a rental car to use today because I work from home normally but I needed a rental car after my back last go out from my own car yesterday so I got a rental to go to this appointment and had trouble locking the rental car doors. I had let them know that I was trying to get there but still when I walked in. I was 22 minutes late from the issues I had and I tried to explain it to them of what was going on. The lady at the front desk said because it's a 20 minute Slot time that I missed, but they would not take me and I was only a couple minutes past that. She then said she was gonna check with the doctor but came out two seconds later stating that the doctor refused to see me because I was a couple minutes past their 20 minute deadline supposedly. First of all, I wanna see this in writing that they have a 20 minute window. Too, there's no way they asked the doctor and the nurse who came out with her also had an attitude about it. Again, I tried to explain the situation, but nobody cared, and nobody cared that. I even called prior to that to let them know what was happening. I then called another number to make a complaint and to try to reschedule an appointment since the nurse there did not offer to schedule me for any location, she kept consistent on one location I want to one time. The person on a phone call who apparently works in the Sparta location had said well there was another one available in the afternoon, I said well I already had to leave work to make this appointment and I can't do it again today. And I tried to tell her what happened and she says well we all have appointments that we have to try to get to. We all have this issue. So the condescending words and attitude used to me was just appalling. Things happen sometimes that people don't make their appointments on time and this is the first time with this provider that I ever was late with the appointment. Unfortunately, it was out of my circumstances because I've never been to the location nobody there wanted to help me find the building so I was on my own. Plus, I had a car that is not mine that the lock did not want to lock and I'm definitely not leaving a car parked, not locked. I feel like this is a scam to get people to pay a no-show fee or whatever crap that they wanna pull. I left a book behind and I went back to retrieve it, and I heard them telling another woman the same exact thing that they had just told me. So either they are overbooking or they're not honest with how they Conductor practice. Nonetheless, for people to have so much attitude who work in the front office so maybe this profession is not for you

It was very easy to get a same day appointment in the morning to have my injured shoulder looked at. I sat in the room, answered questions from the doctor's assistant, & then within 3 minutes, the doctor walked in& he already looked at my x-rays! Talk about prompt service! Very professional, knew what he was talking about, good bedside manner (I saw Dr. Sayde) & I would definitely recommend this place. Loved that I was in & out & how organized & pleasant everyone was!
