On the next day she was admitted into hospital. All the staff we met when she stayed there were responsible, kind, and patient. Especially Dr. Fritzgerald Estinfa, who was in charge of my mother in ER, was very experienced and rich in medical knowledge. He diagnosed accurately and gave the best treatment quickly. He was also very patient when explaining the situation to my mother and persuaded her to accept the next step treatment ASAP, which allowed her symptoms to be relieved the next day without need of surgery. In a word Dr. Fritzgerald Estinfa is not only excellent in his medical practice, but also sincerely concerned for his patient's well being, and care for their emotion need as well. Thanks Dr. Fritzgerald Estinfa and Good Samaritan Hospital, who gave my mother a wonderful experience in a urgent health problem.

They were very concerned not only for my husband but for his family too. I received updated during his surgery with this special App called "Family First" my kids and some friends were able to be updated through Harry's surgery.. This was very much appreciated. And comforting. The nurse Lisa would actually call me at home when he made any progress. Mike the nurse was my husband's favorite nurse. The experience was a great one even in a very scary situation. We also had a private waiting room that was very helpful for family to gather.

A year later I developed anemia which has become life changing of 7byears with no cause found. 2 years ago my apartment was a mess due to being unable to do anything. The board of health decided I was mentally ill, had my landlord throw everything I owned out ($200,000) and confiscate my cats. I could barely stand, walk or talk. The hospital treated me as a criminal and Timothy Brady verbally abused me during my 4 week stay. I had nowhere to go, so he was going to drop me off at a shelter in my night shirt and slippers. During my stay at the hospital my landlord had my apartment cleaned out and everything thrown away. He even confiscated my car - he had kept asking for money - no I didn't have a lease. I was 66 years old and on SS. I have blamed many started with the Bd of Health but realize it was the incompetence of the doctors who still don't know why I am iron deficient. I lost everything I spent 40 years working for along with family heirlooms, collectibles, antiques, family photos, jewelry and many other things. I see Atlantic health care is all about DEI hiring which explains a lot. I was in the hospital for more iron infusions. My arms developed phlebitis and when I refused the last infusion I was discharged immediately. My arms are bruised, swollen and painful. I now have a heart issue which they are blaming on genetics even though heart issues don't run in my family. My past history of GBS continues to be ignored even though everything started after it. The other night my temp was 101.7 which meant an infection but I am afraid to go back the Newton. I am living in Ibuprofen for the pain. Do Not Go Here if you can avoid it.

I was able to get An appointment, the receptionist was super helpful and the wait was within 15 minutes of my appointment even though there were many people in the waiting room. The tech who did my scan asked me questions, explained the process and asked me to wait after to ensure the scan was good and the initial reading didn't show anything concerning. I appreciated that very much. The results were uploaded to MyChart within the hour. Very efficient and nice people. Because I went in within 2 hours of my appointment, the insurance had not approved my test. They waited until the last minute to see If it would be approved and gave me the option to pay out of pocket or reschedule. I didn't have time or want to risk having a problem, so unpaid out of pocket and will working out with my insurance. They were very upfront about it and I liked having the option.

I used to work in healthcare. I know emergency rooms are stressful, unpredictable places. That said, I was put on a bed in the hallway for my entire visit. No room. No curtain. No privacy. No TV. Just me, my migraine, and the hallway. Even the ER at RWJ Somerset gave me my own little curtained-off area with a TV. I never thought I would find myself nostalgically reminiscing about an ER curtain, but here we are. I was given medication through an IV that did help my migraine, but it also made me extremely jittery -- to the point that after I was discharged, I was having a very difficult time functioning normally. Obviously, I understand that medications can have side effects. What bothered me more was how little support I felt I received around it. The interaction with the doctor was also unnecessarily unpleasant. I asked, very politely, "Can I have a head CT?" His response was: "I just said that." Listen. I know patients can be difficult. I know healthcare workers get tired, overwhelmed, and frustrated. I've worked in healthcare myself. But I wasn't yelling, demanding anything, or being disrespectful. I was sick, scared, and asking an innocent question nicely. There was absolutely no reason to speak to me that way. After I got home, the jitteriness was still significant, so I called the ER hoping to ask whether there was anything over-the-counter I could take or whether a prescription could be called in to help with the reaction. No one answered the phone. So, in summary: impressively short wait, hallway accommodations, zero privacy, medication that left me feeling worse in an entirely new and exciting way, a rude interaction with the physician, and then no one available when I called for guidance afterward. Hopefully there won't be a next time. But if there is, I'll be going to Cooperman in Livingston instead. One star for getting me in quickly. I would have preferred to wait a little longer and be treated like a person.

If you actually care about yourself or your loved one's wellbeing, DO NOT COME TO ST. CLARE'S HOSPITAL!! Front desk staff to the so-called medical professionals have been nothing but abhorrent and rude since the day our loved one suffered her stroke. Rather than a pleasant greeting, front desk is condescending from the get go, and I haven't even spoken yet! Our mother has been left in her own filth for DAYS, not repositioned for hours, case manager keeps pressuring us to move her to hospice care only 3 DAYS after admission. The doctor wanted to observe her for at least a week, but only after 3 days we have been pressured hourly to sign documents to transfer her to hospice care. What happened to trying to save her life??? This place is basically forcing her to her death for their convenience. The staff spends more time switching-up regulations, and trying to kick family out of the room then actually taking care of their patient. Family members have been the ones to clean her, reposition and massage her, and exercise her. If we're lucky, they'll drain her catheter once in 24 hours. Her room has not been cleaned since her admission and smells so strongly of urine. I've taken it upon myself to clean and disinfect the room as housecleaning has done nothing but empty the trash can in the 5 days we've been here. St. Clare's Hospital in Dover needs to be shut down. The moment you advocate for yourself/loved one they will likely retaliate. Find care elsewhere, because you'll receive anything but care or compassion at this cesspool.

I went on a Sunday because of a worrisome insect bite. The provider was a very rude and unprofessional person. However, today's visit was especially disappointing. I waited over an hour in the waiting area, even though there were no other patients in the waiting room waiting. Perhaps there was one person being seen.  When I was finally called in, the assistant took my vitals, then the doctor entered the room. She didn't introduce herself (I later learned that her name is (Bernice Monroe )and kept asking if I had been wheezing. I responded negatively, and she briefly listened to my lungs and heart--about ten seconds. She then said she would prescribe a steroid, claiming it would treat the condition if it was allergies. I questioned this, clarifying that my symptoms didn't suggest allergies, and explained I'd been experiencing a chest cough and chest pain for several days. During this, she visibly yawned, looking tired rather than disinterested. I voiced my concerns about the steroid, noting there was no reason to prescribe it. I asked if she detected signs of pneumonia or bronchitis, and she responded no, but still planned to prescribe a steroid for allergies. She said if my symptoms worsened, possibly indicating bronchitis, it would treat that too--despite my clear statements to the contrary. I also pointed out she hadn't examined my ears, nose, or throat. She rolled her eyes and said, "oh, it's one of those days," before grabbing a tongue depressor. When I asked her to wear gloves, as she had requested me to open my mouth, she threw the depressor away, declared she was done, and left. I was so shocked by this lack of care that I told the waiting people they were about to be seen by a terrible doctor. This outburst was completely unlike me. I was just so outraged. I am at a loss for words about this whole experience. I am very disappointed because this location is quite convenient for me.
