Everyone who works here is super friendly and helpful. This is my ideal corner store to get gas, beer, and general amenities.

The Downtown Nashville Walgreens…read more In my estimation, this is the one and only Walgreens in Downtown Nashville that is accessible to Broadway. Disparate from other Walgreens that I am familiar with in major tourist centers, this location is underwhelming for alcohol and souvenirs. With regards to this review, I am using "The Daniel. S Yelp Real Time Feature" where I write from my first-hand journaling experience. "June 24, 2025: We are bound for Walgreens. Walking through the Assembly Food Hall we cut off some of the uphill climb up John Lewis Way that is bothering Dad's knees. Now walking up John Lewis Way we are passing by the historic Woolworth Theater and what looks like a Theater District. At the crest of the hill, we step inside the only downtown Nashville Walgreens. At least the only one I am familiar with near Broadway. This store is "blah" in comparison to the Walgreens that I am familiar with in major cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco, and Denver. Their Nashville caps are overpriced and fail to strike me. They fail to carry the bullet beer (24 ounce cans) that I want to pick up for the hotel room. However, they have cold beverages and snacks that my Dad and Brother are buying. I am headed to Starbucks for my beverage. Toi, who rings up my Dad and Brother, is a friendly and personable Cashier. When we return to the what looks like a Theater District along John Lewis Way, being empty handed of purchases allows me to photograph the Woolworth Theater." My "Real Time Yelp First-hand Feature" elucidates that the Downtown Nashville Walgreens deserves Three Stars.

I appreciate the convenience of this Walgreens location as a downtown resident; it's nice to have…read moreone within walking distance. However, the spotty customer service makes me hesitate to recommend it at all. I've been here numerous times and experienced really rude and unprofessional service (e.g. I've personally been and seen others be judged and berated at the photo counter when picking up items "late" i.e. within a week or less of placing the order). Sometimes customer service has been nice or fine, though (e.g. one time the photo department called me when they found my photo order, which I appreciated - since when I went to pick it up the first time, they didn't find it). I return here for the location only, but I wish for a more consistently cordial (if not friendly) and efficient experience.

My husband was convinced I'd never find a quality wine store in walking distance of our hotel and…read morethat we'd have to suck it up and pay for an overpriced bottle at a restaurant instead of enjoying in our hotel room as planned. WRONG--and delightedly so! The selection was pretty amazing, they even had the Rum Chata creamers I'd been looking for and unable to find at home! We chose a bottle of Prosecco and some smaller mini-bottles of things we'd wanted to try and headed to the checkout. There was an older man there, clearly known to the clerk, who was unable to use his debit card and was digging in his pocket for the money to buy a small bottle of high proof liquor. He was there a long time trying to get the right combination of crumpled bills and loose change to cover the cost of the bottle and I was reaching in my wallet to give him a 5 when he got the last bit from his many pockets and paid. The clerk was so kind, so patient and so sweet to this man. It made me smile from the inside out to know that there are still those who love their fellow man and can be kind at a time when it would be easy to have been harsh of word or action. So while I'd return for the selection on a future trip, I'd also be there for the kind and patient service, too! BRAVO!

However, the staff were friendly and helpful. The prices seemed fair but a little higher than the Savi place next door. All in all a good place with a good selection.

Fresh Pick Marketplace is a great hidden find, which is inside the Music City Center. You can enter…read morethe market from the outside, without entering the center. Inside this eatery is a grill with hamburgers, hot dogs, burritos, etc. You can also get hot and cold sandwiches, salads, soup/ chili, daily specials and breakfast offerings. My husband and I came here twice with our little girl dog (there is outdoor seating but there is also some counter seating inside too) during our visit to Nashville because the food was cheap but the portions were generous. On one of our visits, we ordered: Griddle Cheeseburger, $5.95 prior to tax- My husband opted to get this burger. Just a great old fashion burger made right. Was perfect. Side of Fries, $2.25 prior to tax- Thick cut fries, which I love (I am not a fan for those thin fries). The amount was pretty good for the price. Each fry was crisp, nice and hot. Chicken Salad, $5.95 prior to tax- This salad was huge with lettuce, cucumbers, grape tomatoes (although I wished there were more tomatoes but that is my own preference), lettuce, red onion, shredded cheese and a good portion of chicken. On another separate visit, I had picked a chicken salad again. However the lettuce was all soggy and wilted. I told the employee who charged me about this and she told me I could pick another salad. Sadly all the other salads left seem to have that problem. So another employee behind the grill told me she would be more than happy to make me a fresh salad. I greatly appreciate it as she put that together for me with kale, tomatoes (extra tomatoes and no onions, as I had requested), no cheese and freshly grilled chicken from the grill for me. That really was more than I was expecting and really enjoyed that salad. ---------------------- (Total= $15.46 after tax) I just love the cheap prices this little eatery has and the variety of food you can choose from. If only this place was closer, I would come back more often.

Funnily enough, one of the best things I ate in Nashville was a breakfast sandwich from Bodega,…read morewhich is located on the ground floor of the Holiday Inn, I believe. I ordered the Ultimate sandwich, and it came out quickly. For the price, it's a really good option for a quick breakfast, especially on our way out of Nashville. You order at the counter and can do to-go or dine-in. The bread was super good, buttery, soft, and pillowy. The egg was fluffy, airy, and perfectly cooked, and the bacon and sausage were also great. I loved the aioli it came with, which added so much flavor and really brought everything together. Just a fantastic breakfast sandwich, especially for something quick and on the go. The space itself is also a cool little concept. It connects to the hotel seating area, which has arcade games and foosball, as well as Almost Friday Bar, which I think is where the food was technically coming from. Awesome little setup overall, and definitely a pleasant surprise!

It is a cute little place connected to the Holiday Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown - Broadway. The staff here is very nice and I'm thankful they had a Celsius (in many flavors, too!) I had the Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich which was delicious. They could probably use another employee on a very busy Saturday morning, but there may not be enough room for three people behind the counter. Look forward to visiting again when I'm in the area.
