I'm not one to "bash" on a business, but when I waited for almost a month to have Riverside Fence come out and quote me on an automatic gate & fence installation, I was excited to finally get a quote back. Their crew came out, took measurements, and discussed ideas with me. However, now almost another month later, no quote (yes I have called to "check in") and still no response. This company must not need business or appreciate Riverside residential business, as they have given me no response or acknowledgment (even a simple "we can't/do this type of work" would suffice). Had given Riverside fence a good review and had contracted them to do my back fence. Well was given an arrival time of 9:30 am and no one was here at that time, I contacted the owner and he stated they were running a bit late and would arrive at 11 am no later. Well 11 am came around and no one yet, I check outside at 11:40 am and they are eating lunch and I message the owner and ask if it will be done and he states yes, at this point my trust in them is zero. They do good work and have great prices but they aren't reliable from what I've seen this second time around. I asked to have it rescheduled and I'm given a date 3 weeks out guess I'm being punished for not accepting to take a chance and the work not be done the date it shoulda been completed. I spend two weeks just trying to get someone to respond in anyway.. "yes we can go over that quote with you at this date.." "sure we would love to help you!" "We're really busy can we talk a week from now?" And within an hour of posting a review low and behold A RESPONSE!! It's sad that this is what it has come down to for consumers. You can make all the passive aggressive comments about "extensive" estimate from 2 months ago and that you did in fact receive my email. You're just proving my point and making yourself look silly and surprise surprise non-responsive. If you got my email you could have kindly responded. As for the voicemails and texts I did not leave any because I had already emailed so I called 3 times and left a voice mail today on my fourth call. That's neither here nor there thought because YOU GOT MY EMAIL!! I'm an accountable person and I'm also fair. If you would like to turn this around the door is open for you. I would be happy to adjust my review. You may be so busy right now you don't see the value in honoring me as your client, but one day your books may not be so full. And as for the comment on "always responding in a timely manner," in no industry is "a timely manner" 2 weeks. We have way too much technology these days for that. It's not like I sent you a letter in the mail. For as busy as you claim to be you sure do make time to clap back at reviews fast. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The estimate went well. Carlos is very knowledgeable and super accommodating to your fencing needs. I never actually hired them for the job though because I couldn't get a hold of anyone again after the estimate was done. Carlos, Juan Tony and the others did a good job replacing my 30 year old wooden fence. I sent them a copy of an invoice of an estimate that I got from Home Depot along with several pics of my old fence. The invoice included all the specs along with the wood preference and shape. This was all they needed to give me an estimate by email, no need to come out. Their estimate was well under Home Depot and another local fence company. Secondly, I chose Riverside Fence because they responded quickly to my Yelp request for a fence company. Many local companies didn't respond or weren't communicating with me is a timely manner.I originally wanted to have the work done in mid March, but due to a neighbors concern about Covid 19 I postponed it until mid June. Carlos and his crew were here early and knocked out this job in 2 days ,1 day ahead of schedule. They disposed of the old fence and cleaned up. As you can see by the pics, the fence was beautiful. I sent a request for a quote for a chain link fence on 11/13. Was told that the earliest someone could come by and give an estimate was 11/19. After their employee came by on the 19th i was told i would be given a price by the end of that day or the next day(the 20th). I was finally told on the 22nd a full 2 days past when i was told i would have my quote after I asked about it. The initial quote they gave me was for $650 all materials and labor included. I thought great and was ready to sign but needed the paper work to sign. Once again I did not get this paperwork until today (11/25) which was now emailed to my wife.... 3 days later after I was told it was being drawn up but was now seeing a price of $950. I understand the demands of owning and operating your own business but i was given 2 other offers within 3 days by other fencing companies.
