Private free parking, comfortable amounts of parking for sure.
This place is off the beaten path and the touristic areas of PR about 2 hours away from the main San Juan area, so you should plan of staying in this area if u interested to visit this place.
Pretty busy, but it was funny cause as we came in we heard not much noise! once we got in, we saw that almost all tables were taken!!
The layout is pretty funny I must say, the restaurant looks like an gigantic gazebo, and outside in the back there are little satellite gazebos, each tiny gazebo is a table, is super cute and very private.
The staff is pretty nice and friendly, they told us to choose our sitting and came relatively quickly to take our order. They do not speak much English so bear that in mind.
Ticket times here are pretty slow so come her with time, but the waiter did let us know that the food was going to take a while.
Use mosquito repellent cause it is a very outdoorsy place, the mosquitos did try, but I was wearing repellent.
Prices are on the cheaper side and we liked that. if it is cheap (free) is me!
They have some pool tables and a juke box, so when the juke is not working theres no music, overall silent place for that reason we thought the place was empty when we first came in! lol.I do appreciate a place where you and hear your own voice while you talk to your people and do not have to scream across the table.
Funny story before I go into the food, the waiter saw my bf and said that the appetizers were too small so we got 2! it was a lot of food, sooooo for 2 ppl one appetizer is enough and my bf is all buffed so trust me on this.
PINA COLADA- was ok but a little too watered down, it was definitely not a great drink. here I would say to go for a hard liquor. the nice thing for me was that the drink did come with ripped cream and I loved that.
COMPLEMENTARY BREAD BASKET- I do appreciate places that do that, this place served pan sobao with garlic spread on it, it was pretty good.
CHEESE BALLS- came with a ketchup dipping sauce and I do know now why, cause seriously it was not a great appetizer. you should go without it.
FRIED CHICKEN- looked great tasted ok, nothing impressive really.
STUFFED LOBSTER AND PARMESAN MOFONGO- I would tell you that I could not taste any lobster, I saw it there! but the taste was not. this was not good. I cant even explain correctly but I did not like it at all.
I can surest one thing that I had from my BFs plate that I loved! TRIFONGO, the trifongo here was pretty amazing!!!!! So try that If u can.
In summary, the place is charming and very worth the trip for sure, the service is great and they have some nice prices in their dishes, but the food and the drinks themselves are nothing special and some of the meals are not even good at all.
It is difficult for me to tell you to stay away cause the place is super nice so try to come here for drinks. read more
