Being a person of size (aka, a fat girl), I've had a lot of bad luck with doctors--one doctor I have seen in the past told me to lay off the fast food without ever even asking me about my diet, which I would bet includes more fresh vegetables than his. Dr. Simon doesn't make any assumptions about me and actually looks at my vitals, levels, and overall health performance to gauge whether I am healthy. And he listens to my thoughts on my health and helps me with my own goals. It straight up makes me emotional to get such good health care. 2) Their nurses and office support are also very friendly and competent. 3) I'm never kept waiting for absurd amounts of time. The front desk staff were great with helping with school forms and scripts due to a newly diagnosed severe food allergy. It's easy to get an appointment same or next day if there's a serious issue and their phone support and bluebook and online standard protocols are easy to follow for common issues and things to try before needing to bring them in. They are pretty clear and upfront about their practices vaccination policies and philosophy. If you aren't a traditionalist regarding vaccines you may not be happy here. We're happy and really love the staff and drs.

However, after several years as patients here, we just received a letter telling us that they would no longer see our daughters because they have not received the Chickenpox vaccine!! Every parent should have conversations with their children's doctors and do careful research concerning vaccines. This particular vaccine is sourced from an unethical cell strain (from an aborted fetus). We weighed the risks and selected to avoid that vaccine. We feel like the practice has decided not to partner with the parents but to just push away anyone who doesn't go along with the "group think'. I am so disappointed by this practice. I feel bad for the level headed doctors and nurses who were overruled by the tyrrany of the majority. We will miss seeing them! If you want to have a say in your child's medical care, avoid this practice. I am editing this to add that we received a third letter, certified mail, signature required, telling us that our son (7 months old) would also no longer be seen by his doctor. I am surprised that more people haven't been commenting about this. To use scare tactics like get every vaccine according to the very rigid CDC guidelines or get out is a hard stance. Different kids have different needs. I'm certain at this point that it boils down to money. My heart goes out to the parents and kiddos at this practice. Be aware that they may not have your children's best interests in mind. You must be your child's advocate!

We have gotten prescriptions ordered the same night (invaluable when dealing with a fussy baby) with in-office follow-ups the next morning. She asks US when we are available to come in, and it seems as though she cares for our infant as much as she would care for her own children. My daughter has moderate to severe eczema and he listened to everything that we have used on her skin and immediately gave us a list of pediatric dermatologists that he preferred (in CA, we begged to be referred to a specialist and never got one). He has always listened to my concerns and never brushes anything off. He gives great advice and is very kind and gentle with both of my children. I would absolutely refer anyone who is looking for an amazing pediatrician to him. Great doctor! There is also a nurse there that I talk to constantly (probably 3-4 times a month), Sheryl, who is also amazing. She is a genuinely nice person and extremely helpful on the phone. She has never steered us wrong. If she thinks you need to come in, she will get you in on the same day (or next day depending on when you call). This office does offer same day sick appointments and it's open for a few hours on Saturday for sick appointments only.
