Absolute disaster…read more Terrible communication from start to finish. No initial walkaround to establish expectations. No final check out before leaving the job site. Contractor canceled the majority of the work due to lack of 'acceptable' supplies, without my knowledge or consent. The contract should not have been proposed if work could not be completed as promised. Major work was left unfinished (installation of smart thermostat) but still charged for the work on the final bill. Repairs promised as not-noticeable upon completion look absolutely terrible (see photos). My son and I had to help install/mount my 77" TV because only one contractor showed up for the entire $2500 job over the course of four days. This project seemed to be a complete afterthought for Girls 'N Tools. Would not recommend (even for small jobs/maintenance) under any circumstances, whatsoever.

The patio and retaining wall look great. The project took longer than expected, but those delays were all on our side. We took longer than we should have to make various decisions about light fixtures, etc. We also changed the scope of the project a few times, adding more areas of walkways that we decided needed to be refinished with the stamped concrete. We agreed on what had to be done, and they sent a quote to me by email. They also said when they would do it, I didn't get other quotes. It was very reasonable and I had an idea on what it should cost Anyhow, the day came but it was going to rain all day. So it was rescheduled to 2 business days later. All in all, the crew was very professional, and they also found the issue. There was a section that seemed to be rotten. That section was replaced. I highly recommend them. A few years ago in the middle of a storm a large tree had fallen on my house destroying a good portion of it. What a nightmare, little did I know my nightmare was just beginning when I hired Mark Tetrault to do the general contracting. The damage to my house was so extensive I was forced to move into another home while the work to my house was being done which turned out to be a bad thing as I wasn't around as much as I should have been to watch the "work" being done. It wasn't until everything was supposedly done and I had moved back in that I noticed the terrible work that had been done or half done or not even done at all in some cases. Some examples are three broken windows that were installed, trim that wasn't caulked or the nail holes filled in, floor tiling that is missing grout, wood flooring that was so bad it had to be totally replaced by another contractor etc. I could go on and on but I really don't have enough space to list all of the things, it's two years later and I'm still finding things wrong. The worse part was when I would call or try to contact Mark to fix or finish the shoddy workmanship, it was radio silence. In the end I just wish I had hired a better contractor.
