We were seeking a Covid relief get away for a few days and this cozy cabin definitely delivered. It's a sweet cabin named Homestead and it sends you back in time by it's quaintness. Very close to the Mountain Fork River and also to a small fishing lake. It is nestled near to the Ouachita National Forest north of Beavers Bend in Watson. A nice 30-40 minute drive gets you to Hochatown & Beavers Bend State Park. We enjoyed fishing, walking, puzzles, games, campfires and the hot tub. We had one situation during our stay but the owners were extremely quick to respond and resolve. One personal suggestion is to add televisions in the bedrooms. Even as a get away... TVs are nice for the evening. Overall we loved our stay. It was a very special time for our family during these trying pandemic times. read more

Before ever even arriving we were treated with humor, respect, and kindness by the hosts Suzy and Tim. They are awesome!! Our family was thrilled when we saw our cabin (bear). Our two city dogs and kiddos (ages 4- 20) enjoyed exploring the area and checking out each tree, spring, creek, and animal they saw. Next time we come back we look forward to experiencing another cabin and enjoying the river, sights, and sounds again. read more

4th time spending time there. Some cabins now have tv and wifi... i used wifi but left tv out next time i try not to even use the wifi. i think the experience there is better without any internet phone and tv. read more

Very secluded. Very romantic. We stayed in the Chesapeake Cabin. One word WOW. We brought everything we needed for our stay and didn't leave the entire weekend. Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing weekend. Please keep doing what you are doing. Thanks for such a beautiful place to reflect. read more
