When she discovered the themed property, it caught her eye. We arrive late in the evening as we were coming off of a full day of work for myself and school for my daughter and her friends. We were also concerned about the possibility of severe weather forecasted in our area(DFW, TX). Mrs. Rosie stayed in contact with me through messaging on the Airbnb website, and kept me abreast of local weather. She also made me aware of local attractions that would be available to us when we arrived. She stayed up to greet us when we arrived (after 10 p.m.) Upon arrival she had the heat on the wood stoves burning to make our cabin toasty and warm. There were towels, household supplies and amenities available for our ease and comfort. Back to Africa is a unique design that encompasses four cabins (or sleep areas), two toilets, and two shower areas, and a common kitchen. Although it is a completely enclosed& it's designed to reflect and outdoor environment. Because the weather had been particularly cold she offered to upgrade us, but all was well and there was no need to upgrade. The beds were very comfortable well-appointed with plenty of pillows. The shower and bathroom and kitchen had all the needed supplies, just like home. On the second day of our stay Mrs. Rosie escorted me around on a complete tour of the property. She shared the history of the property which was originally a vision of her husband (who has passed on). A few years following his death she took it upon herself to complete the vision fulfilling the promise she made to him. Adding new elements of themed cabins created an additional flair. One of the standout of the cabins are the beautifully painted murals on the walls that represent the themes. The property also have animals a buffalo named Buffy, a goat believe her name is Carly and I don't remember the dear donkey's name. We had the opportunity to hand feed them. There are canoes, a paddle boat and fishing supplies for the water activity enthusiast. There were also some bikes available that one of our guys had to give a little bit of an assist to get them up and rolling, which worked out famously. Our tour concluded at Catfish-Rosewood Manor; which I like to think of as the healing/spa cabin of the resort. It features 3 bedrooms, laundry facilities full kitchen. There is a therapy pool, sauna, hot tub, deck for fishing or entertaining, and facilities for barbecuing and cooking right off the deck area. There is additional sleeping in the therapy pool room area (with laundry facilities and a shower), and in a room off the deck area. However, the best thing about this cabin is that it is fully accessible; allowing access to a lovely outdoor experience for those who may be limited by mobility Mrs. Rosie is the most gracious and generous woman; very kind very loving. You could not find I a more genuine and reliable individual. Every request I had, she went out of her way to meet it (within her ability) and her attentiveness made us feel very welcomed.

Everything in the kitchen was soaked and there was a huge puddle of water in the walkway to kitchen. My kids both slipped and fell on the concrete because of it. I called and messaged several times with no response but the one time I did they said they contacted maintenance, which actually didn't happen. They sent someone at 6pm the night before we left. We had to deal with this, the ice maker not working, and a shower that wouldn't drain throughout our vacation and after them mentioning a discount, they ghosted us. I've reached out several times several ways and nothing. I honestly couldn't imagine treating a customer, or anyone this way. Thursday afternoon- arrive at cabin, discover leak from ceiling in kitchen. Suspect it's air conditioning unit because the leak was also coming from outside condensation drain. Immediately I contacted Hidden Hills office because no maintenance number was listed. She said she would contact maintenance and get back with us. Never heard back. Thursday night- I call and no answer. Immediately get a text saying maintenance was contacted and they were supposed to send HVAC over. *she also said you will definitely get a discount* but mind you, I've already paid for rental. Friday- wait around for someone to show up. So 3pm rolls around and I send a text stating nobody has shown up for the leak. At this point we also have discovered the ice maker doesn't work and the shower won't drain. No response at all. Saturday- I get a message from maintenance on Facebook because of my Facebook post about this experience and he says he never got any message about the maintenance issue. He apologized but also tried to say I didn't call the right number although there's no number for him listed anywhere expect the fridge which clearly states to only call him after hours and for emergencies. So anyway I let him know the situation and he tells me the lady went through another maintenance guy and he would follow up. Never followed up. I sent pictures to both maintenance and the lady I spoke with. No response from her, but he said he talked to HVAC tech and he would be here shortly. Nobody showed up, so I called the office again. She acted surprised and said she'd contact maintenance again. She texted back saying HVAC tech is supposed to be heading over there, let her know if he doesn't show. He didn't show up. Saturday night about 6pm someone showed up to fix the AC leak, told us he hadn't been called out to this until 10am this current day. I then texted the company back and said he had been over. THEY said we would "definitely" be given a discount. I kindly accepted and asked what kind of discount and they responded with she would look at our account the next day. Sunday- nothing, but it is Sunday on a holiday weekend so I waited until the evening to text back again to follow up. No response. Monday afternoon- I emailed the same message, no response. So they ghosted us after checkout. It just really sucks. We spent what little extra money we had to make this trip happen for our family this summer. Then to have this disruption and headache throughout the whole trip is so disappointing. The lack of concern and communication was the most disappointing though. Please just don't make the mistake of trusting them, because clearly they don't care.

It was not the standard air mattress, this one was very a thick queen size mattress. The bathrooms were huge with dual showerheads in both walk in showers. We enjoyed the corn hole game outside. We saw deer and rabbits from our patio every day. The only downside is that there is some noise from the highway when you are outside, but it didn't bother us. We will definitely return to Journey's End on our next Broken Bow trip.

The place was immaculate and the bed was probably the best bed I've ever slept on!
