From the moment I walked in, Victoria and the other young lady at the front (I'm sorry, I forgot her name!) were so welcoming and friendly. Kaylee did my X-rays and was super gentle, which I really appreciated. Dr. Shah was amazing...very kind, calm, and VERY reassuring. He took the time to explain everything clearly and gave me some really helpful recommendations for improving my oral health. I never felt rushed or uncomfortable. The office itself is very clean, warm, and welcoming (not cold or sterile-feeling like some dental offices can be). There's also plenty of parking and the office is easy to access. They even sent me home with a little dental care goodie bag, which was a nice touch! I'm really happy I found an office closer to home where I felt comfortable and well taken ca

I was quite impressed and excited to start my dental journey. Upon walking in, the receptionists were all very kind and welcoming. They have coffee and water in the waiting room and were helpful answering questions about insurance and scheduling. I was taken back by a dental assistant and she was very kind! She took xrays and got me ready for the doctor. Dr. Shah was very informative and let me know everything that needed to happen to make my mouth happy! I needed some fillings and a crown done. I appreciated the payment plan option and put it to use for my visit/work that needed to be done. Upon coming in for my fillings and crown, I was quite nervous. Dr.Shah knew of my anxiety, as it was in my chart. I was visibly nervous and the needles didnt add anything good to how I was feeling. I let him know I would need more numbing as my teeth as sensitive from my grinding. He numbed me up and then wanted to work on me immediately after the injection. I asked if I could wait a bit to let the numbing kick in and he agreed but seemed to be a bit annoyed. After waiting a minute or so, he began to try to work on mh teeth and I continued to experience pain. I asked for more numbing and he agreed. Again, he seemed to be annoyed. Maybe because he had another patient to get to? After asking to let the numbing kick in again, we proceeded with my treatment shortly after. This time, I was more numb. When I was called to come back for my new crown, I was excited for my process to be done! I sat down and the dental assistant removed my temporary crown. She gently scraped at my tooth as I had some adhesive stuck to it still. She was very gentle but my sensitivity was severe. She let me know that we can apply topical anesthetic to see if that helps and if it doesnt, I can get the numbing injection. I agreed and she prepared the tray with the topical and injectable anesthetic. When Dr.Shah came in to apply the crown, he was ready to get to work. I let him know of my discomfort/pain and what I had discussed with the dental assistant. He applied the topical numbing and it instantly lit up my face with pain. My teeth are so sensitive! I closed my mouth and held my face. He asked if I was okay and I said "Yes, but I am in pain". He proceeded to attempt to dry my tooth off with the air and I continued to express my pain in tensing up, vocally moaning and at times letting him know it was painful. He just kept asking if I was okay but never seemed to think to give me the injection of anesthetic. As he was preparing to blowing the air to dry my tooth, I could feel the air circulating around me and in my mouth even though it wasnt being blown directly on me. It was painful and he chuckled saying "Im not even blowing air on your tooth yet". The dental assistant kept saying "just 10 more seconds" over and over again. What was supposed to be "10 seconds" of pain turned into minutes and minutes of pain. It was a lot to go through and the service could have been made comfortable by taking the time and giving me the injection of anesthetic. I felt like he was rushing to get to his next patient and didnt want to take that time to make me comfortable. To be completely vulnerable in this review, I had a panic attack in the car and cried all the way home while still in pain. I was in pain for about an hour after this all happening. I couldnt fall asleep because I was having flash backs of being in the office and feeling the pain I had. All of this could have been prevented. The following day was my last encounter at the office. I was coming back in to have my bite guard adjusted after getting my crown. I have to admit, I was quite traumatized by my last visit and asked my wife to come in with me as support for this last appointment. I was dreading going back but I needed this guard fixed. Dr.Shah came in and got right to work and asked about my sensitivity. I did let him know of my experience pertaining to him laughing and how I didnt feel like that was professional. He apologized and thanked me for my feed back. I did not get into what other things I experienced as I was not ready to talk or deal with that. The dental industry has a strong record of being something that people are afraid of. I was taken back to have that become my reality after my visit here at Riverbank Modern Dentistry. I have never had an experience quite like this before.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Smile Shine Family Dental! From the moment I walked in,…read morethe entire experience was warm, welcoming, and genuinely reassuring. A huge shoutout to my doctor, Dr. Vick Grewal, who is truly exceptional and one of the best in the dental game. I was understandably nervous going into my implant procedure, but Dr. Grewal took the time to sit with me and walk me through every single step from start to finish. He explained exactly what to expect, answered all of my questions in detail, and never once made me feel rushed. His calm, caring approach instantly put me at ease. The procedure itself ended up being far easier and completely pain free compared to what I had built up in my head, and that is entirely thanks to his skill, patience, and compassion. I also want to give an enormous thank you to Arti, their billing coordinator. She handled all of the billing seamlessly, helped me with an amazing discount, and was incredibly kind and sweet throughout the entire process. She truly went above and beyond, and I am so grateful for her support. I would also love to recognize Dr. Jas Grewal, the other primary doctor at this location. While she is not my doctor, every interaction I've ever have had with her has been an absolute pleasure. She has incredible energy, a warm presence, and genuinely cares about every single patient who walks through the door. You can truly feel her passion for what she does, and it makes such a difference in the overall experience. A heartfelt thank you as well to the capable, attentive, and very sweet dental assistants who make each visit run so smoothly, along with the front desk receptionists who are always welcoming, helpful, and kind. If you are looking for a dental office that truly cares about you, makes you feel comfortable, and delivers outstanding care from start to finish, Smile Shine Family Dental is the place to go. I have been a patient at Dr. Rosenbaum and Associates for roughly 20 years, which makes it…read moredisappointing to write this review, but the practice has changed dramatically and not for the better. Over two decades, I have seen more than 10 different dentists come and go. That level of turnover alone suggests there are internal culture issues. About 10 years ago, one dentist told me I had decay visible on an X-ray and recommended a crown. I agreed. After grinding my tooth down to a nub, he said to the assistant, "Huh, there is no decay." That procedure still cost me around $600 out of pocket even with insurance. I filed a formal complaint with the office manager at the time. That manager is no longer there either. In the past couple of years, the entire staff has been replaced. My longtime hygienist left, and I was assigned a new one. She was very young but polite and did a decent job. I would rate her about a 7.5 out of 10. The issue is not the individual staff members. It is the overall experience and direction of the practice. This office used to feel welcoming. Everyone knew my name, and I knew theirs. It felt personal. Now it feels like a corporate assembly line. Even the patient volume seems to reflect this change. Years ago, parking was difficult to find and the waiting room was full. Now there are plenty of open parking spaces and far fewer patients waiting. At every visit, they now require you to complete a full medical history on an iPad, even if you have been a patient for decades and nothing has changed. I found this intrusive and asked if I could opt out and simply notify them of any changes, especially since I was only there for X-rays and a routine cleaning. The staff member handing me the iPad rolled her eyes and walked away. Another staff member later told me they would not see me unless I completed it and claimed this was required by federal HIPAA law. After researching this myself, I learned this is their internal policy, not a legal requirement. In other words, I was misinformed. I would have absolutely disclosed any relevant health changes, particularly anything that could affect anesthesia, even though no anesthesia was being used that day. The interaction felt unnecessary, cold, and dismissive. After that visit, I canceled my next appointment and booked with a new dentist closer to my home. I am genuinely looking forward to a fresh start. It is unfortunate to walk away after 20 years, but this practice no longer feels like the place it once was.
