I have been dealing with a chronic issue that continues to worsen, and she always takes me seriously and does not brush me off, which I genuinely appreciate. I have been in her office in tears, ready to give up and she can always reassure me and bring me back to earth. She never hesitates to make a referral to a specialist, which means a lot. I have been to some primaries who try to know everything and they tend to have you going in circles for a while. I also appreciate that if I mention wanting a specific test done, she doesn't get upset and is more than willing to help me get it done. This week while I was in the hospital for three days with an internal infection called cellulitis, he monitored me closely along with several other specialists. He came to see me in the evening after a long day of standing and doing procedures or seeing patients back to back in the office. People get frustrated at times because they do not think their issues are addressed fast enough. They need to realize that when you are going to the best G.I. in the area, there are hundreds or more people who are seeking his wisdom. He cannot be everything to all people. I had the test done on a Thursday and they received them two days later on a Saturday, yet didn't give me the results for almost two weeks! When they finally did, they gave them via email without any further direction. I emailed back with questions and they emailed a second time stating that I had two procedures scheduled for this Friday (??) but didn't say what to do to prepare, where to go, or when. I called the office for clarity and was told it was a mistake! The office manager got on the phone and was very dismissive and still offered no apology or direction. Unfortunately, this puts my health at risk, so despite actually feeling like the Dr may be good, I have to go elsewhere. A doctor who can't manage his office staff is disappointing. A staff who treats patients with utter disregard is unacceptable. I would avoid this practice at all cost. FYI, there were several similar reviews to mine that have obviously been taken down. Hiding incompetency instead of hiring better staff?? The office manager, Lindsay the reception, and Farrah who sent the inaccurate emails are clearly inept at their jobs. I hope this dr takes note.

Not only a fine doctor who did excellent work... Dr. Turalba always seemed to care about his patients' families and well as for his actual patients. He took the time to talk with me, and with my father whenever we reached out to him; he was in no hurry; he took his time answering our questions and concerns; and although I didn't speak with him nearly as much as my Daddy did, I think Mama, Daddy, my husband Tom, and I all thought he was one of the kindest and best doctors we had ever known! How I wish I now could find just one doctor half as caring, empathetic, and professional as Dr. Cornelius Turalba!
