I came in for a normal blood test today. Not a good experience! Now I am not normally a complainer…read morebut I felt I need to tell someone. The girl that tried to take my blood took 5 tries before hitting a good vein. Of course it hurt and now my wrist ( where she finally got blood ) is swelled and hurting. I don't know if she was in experienced or just had a bad day but I think more training might be a good idea. P.S. I have been a patient here for more than 5 years and have never had this happen before. Thank you.

I am writing to share a concerning experience regarding the pre-authorization process handled by a…read morestaff member named Tiffany. Over the course of several weeks, I made multiple phone calls in an effort to obtain a time-sensitive pre-authorization for an upcoming MRI appointment. Despite clearly communicating that my appointment was scheduled within four days, I was repeatedly told that the process would take "weeks," without any apparent urgency or attempt to explore alternative solutions. During this time, I was asked to obtain information from the hospital that my insurance company had already provided, resulting in unnecessary back-and-forth communication and added stress. I personally contacted both the hospital and my insurance company multiple times to try to facilitate the process, yet there was little evidence of follow-through or proactive assistance from Tiffany. Additionally, I left messages with my primary care provider's office and did not receive timely responses, which further compounded the issue. Unfortunately, this experience affected not only my time but also my trust in the coordination of care. My husband had taken time off work for an appointment that ultimately could not proceed due to the lack of pre-authorization. This issue was resolved with a 20 minute conversation call to Dr. John Shelton's ENT office. While I value my primary care provider Ms. Megan Hughes and would prefer to remain under her care, this experience has caused me to reconsider due to the administrative challenges and lack of support. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve communication, responsiveness, and patient support within the pre-authorization process. The star rating Attis zero for administrative help. And 5+ for Dr. Hughes

Amazing doctor. My boys also see Dr. Zaleski and we've had a very positive experience with him as well. The staff is also great. Don't let the poor reflection of the rating stop you from giving this office a try. It is not a true reflection of the excellent care you will recieved here.

Would give Kahane ZERO if I could. We're just finding out over two years later that he and the…read morepsychiatrist he referred me to overloaded me on a mix of EIGHT different POISONS over the course of THREE MONTHS: an antidepressant, benzos, Lunesta. an antipsychotic and ordered 2 different anti seizure meds, which I refused. All this stemming from ONE panic attack that led to the inappropriate prescribing of these POISONS; not once did any of these lessen my symptoms, but rather worsened them and presented new ones which led to more drugs and new false diagnoses. And the worst, an attempted OD that left me hospitalized. But first: I was only on levothyroxine for years, and after ONE panic attack he had me STOP it for 4 days, then restart it at 50%, a drastic reduction after being stable for decades. He then gave me Xanax, mirtazapine, busparone all within 2 weeks and didn't stop there. He did not once appear to monitor the effectiveness and potential paradoxical effects, which we now know was the case: the drugs worsened the symptoms they were designed to treat. Both my husband and I both left his " practice" due to the aforementioned incompetence and unjustified arrogance of his refusal to refer me to an endocrinologist once another physician ( granted, a former anesthesiologist turned wellness MD) ordered blood labs that showed a high level of thyroid antibodies leading to a Dx of Hashimotos. (Aside: Kahane also declined my request for a referral to a dermatologist to remove my husband's skin tags, claiming he could do it... we were horrified when he proceeded to numb him with lidocaine and cut the 30+ of them with a scalpel, which by the way my husband felt, rather than cauterize them as we had anticipated. I went from living a HEALTHY and productive life as a physical therapist and athlete to being mostly bed bound and suffering from a myriad of major medical problems. Look up the dangers of not tapering these poisons, as well as lingering effects on the nervous system, BIND ( benzo. Induced neurologic dysfunction), kindling... find Dr. Josef on YouTube. Got more out of him from an hour video than sessions with this incompetent "doctor".

My husband works out of town so he wasn't able to make his appt which I tried to reschedule b ut they never answer the phones or return calls. I had to physically go into the office to do it and (they marked it as a no show) there was a 3 m month wait before they had an opening, told me to take him to ER or walk in clinic. Finally got him an appt and upon arrival discovered they had relocated the office so we were 15 minutes late and they refused to see him because he was late, we tried to explain we didn't realize they had moved and had went to old location. The office manager talked to us like we were stupid, rolled her eyes and smirked as she walked off. My husband missed a day of work and had drove two and a half hours one way to be at that appt!

After calling and leaving messages daily for over a week I finally got a person on the line who told me I had to wait 3 months for an appointment with Dr. Leal who by the way is my established primary care physican. In my case waiting 3 months for treatment was not possible so they checked with the doctor and was told that I should go to a clinic or an emergency room for treatment. It is very clear Dr. Leal and his staff are not interested in the health or welfare of their patients. Stay away from this doctor and this medical practice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's spot on for Dr. Marciales (Just in case, it's pronounced Mar-see-ah-liss). Since we're in Bradenton, I'm figuring that many folks may be coming here looking for a physician for an elderly family member. If that's the case, you've found your man. We were looking for a physician for my grandmother when we moved here, and heard about Dr. Marciales. Since then (about three years ago), we've found him to be patient, caring, compassionate, competent, and extremely experienced caring for the elderly. He takes the time to discuss with both patient and family, and is always available and attentive. His staff is great as well. Last but not least, I should add that being a healthcare professional myself, this is not an easy review to get from me. Dr. Marciales is as good as it gets here in Bradenton.
