She has helped me refine my form and technique, so much that I've seen great improvements in not only my mat work but in my everyday life. I am much more aware of my posture, such as how I stand and the position my shoulders are in - the little things that matter so much ! If you're looking for a fantastic Pilates instructor, I highly recommend Aubrey !!

I am relatively new to Pittsburgh and was cautious and particular when seeking out a Pilates studio…read morespecifically downtown. My Pilates instructor in Las Vegas asked a few fellow former NYC Rockettes she knew that live in the Pittsburgh area on where I should go downtown for Pilates and both said MOXIE. Although there are group class options at MOXIE, I personally only take private instruction. As such, I was very glad to find myself working with Aubrey at Moxie (owner and instructor). She is the real deal on "classic" Pilates instruction. Having worked with her now for several months, I know I am in great hands. Despite having done Pilates for many years and maybe having done more advanced contemporary instruction for the last many years, I feel as if Aubrey has brought me back to the basics and I am getting stronger and better by concentrating on the fine details of form that many miss in the basics or forget after many years. She keeps it fresh, is fun and is great with the minute details of verbal queuing. Aubrey is good at her craft, continues to further her expertise and skills through continued instruction herself and has a genuine interest in my overall wellness. I would happily refer Aubrey and MOXIE to anyone who is interested in Pilates. Moxie has several instructors and class options available. The studio is located directly above Nola in Market Square downtown.

It's never boring or repetitive. In the six years I've been going there for classes and private lessons, I can't recall having the same exercise routines repeated. Their repertoire is deep! The other important thing for me is that the place is beautiful. The owner is meticulous about keeping it pristine. I walk in and it's peaceful, serene, aesthetically very pleasing with soothing colors, great natural light and nice plants everywhere. Harmony is a special place. I look forward to going there every week. Being there helps me reset and get grounded. I've also become stronger, leaner and more flexible, in great measure because of the lovely and kind women who work there.

I tried to call ahead of time (as I realized I would be late while driving) and nobody answered the phone number listed for the studio. Fine, I thought, I would just be a bit late and miss part of the class. I arrived at 9:40 and tried to open the door to the studio, but it was locked. Oh well -- I decided I'd stick around and talk to them in person afterwards to see if I could be honored coming to a different class in the future. After waiting an hour, I talked to the studio. I was told they got rid of their phone because nobody would answer it. They also did not explain their door locking policy (if I had known about it, I would not have bothered coming). Lastly, I was told they could not honor putting me in a different class because I had booked through class pass, but if I had a membership through the studio itself, they would be able to do that for me. This didn't make any sense to me. Finally, they told me I should purchase a membership, as if this whole experience would have inspired me to do such a thing. Since there are plenty of other studios in Pittsburgh, I'll save my money and go elsewhere.

While I liked other things about the class I took, I just found that smell so off-putting.
