I cannot recommend Melanie and Ed and River Runners Transport highly enough. As a former river guide and NPS ranger in Dinosaur National Monument, I've been on every type of shuttle imaginable over the years: buses, vans, personal vehicles, even bicycle shuttles. RRT will help you get to the river and back. They communicate well, stand behind their contracts with integrity, and will bend over backward to help you get your trip on the river. They did a fine job of shuttling a trip on the Green River for a group I accompanied many years ago, and a few seasons ago helped us rearrange plans when unforeseen medical issues delayed us. I am writing this review for my son since only active yelp accounts get reviews posted. See the bottom of the review page under not recommended reviews for additional 1 stat reviews.My son and his group of friends used this company to shuttle their vehicles. We would highly recommend against using them.My son keeps his worktruck in excellent condition and it was returned to him with 2 ruined tires, one was thrown away along with his tire sensor and one was clearly driven flat. He got his truck back with a under inflated spare on one side and a random mismatched tire on the other side . His contract clearly stated to park his vehicle if anything went wrong and not only didn't they park it, they threw away one damaged tire with his sensor, and want to charge him for the mismatched one they put on. We have driven hundreds of miles on dirt roads and never had this happen to us. There was another car which also had a flat during the shuttle. We can only think that these vehicles must have been driven at excess speeds and in a unsafe way. We do not recommend this company for vehicle shuttles! read more

Not only do they transport your vehicle, RRT also provides invaluable advice for those doing self-supported river trips on the Green River. Melanie provided info on river flows, detailed directions to the launch site, getting water on the river, and let me know when a local detour was implemented and then sent alternative directions. Unprofessional in the handling of damage done to vehicles I have used these guys for 5 Desolation Canyon trips. The first three were great with no issues. The people were great to deal with. ON the fourth trip, my trailer deck separated from the trailer and we had to de-rig our boat. I figured that was just the way it goes on that shuttle and with that road. I did not say anything to RR and the damage, while inconvenient at the time, was easy and cheap to fix. On the last trip, when I went to retrieve my truck at the take out, it had a large dent and scratch in the rear passenger quarter panel. I contacted RR and asked nicely for help in paying my deductible. I was very disappointed after years of using them to hear them totally deny any liability. RR basically blew me off by saying you can't prove it was us and that their driver denied damaging my truck. However, my truck was parked between two other vehicles in our group and RR admitted that there was no damage done when they picked up the vehicle at the put in. Unfortunately, I have to recommend running your own shuttle rather than use this company. Or be prepared to pay for the damage that their drivers cause. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. We gave this company a go this past May and due to the dishonest nature of this situation that i'm about to apprise you of, the way the owners handled it and the lack of professionalism we and all of our rafting buddies have agreed it is not worth the headache and will be shuttling our own cars as we always have done in the past. Upon returning to our car after being on the river for 6 days I found that my car was left unlocked. When I got in my car I noticed that my brand new pair of Oakley sunglasses were removed from the case in my center console but the case was left there. This was very disappointing as I just purchased these days before the trip and bought a separate cheap pair so I didn't need to take these new ones on the river. I immediately contacted River Runners Transport and informed them of what has happened. The owner Melanie said she would look into this and get back to me. Three weeks went by with no call back. When I called them back to follow up Melanie said she would take care of it and to email her a receipt of the sunglasses, and my address. Melanie told me that she would call me back the same day. I sent the requested information to them and again did not receive a call back. When I called them the following day she put her husband Ed on the phone who had not been involved until now and he proceeded to tell me their driver is straight as an arrow and that there is no possible way they could have made a mistake or stolen my sunglasses. With profanity and disrespect Ed told me sorry not our fault and told me to go ahead and call the police. This is where is gets interesting. My fiancé got on the phone with Ed at that time and their lengthly conversation, of which we recorded, resulted in him agreeing to refund the 100 dollars for our trip charge for our vehicle which was only after my fiancé had to beg Ed to make things right. He asked my fiancé for our address again and said he would send the check. We thought that we'd take the loss and things were said and done but no, the next day we received the following email from them ______________________________________________________ Melanie Morrison. rrt@easilink.com Jun 17 (6 days ago) to me Anthony Our attorney has advised us that we should send an email with the following statement and we ask that you send a confirming email stating you accept this settlement Per our conversation on Thursday, June 16, 2016, River Runners' Transport will reimburse Anthony Morici $100 for the fee paid to shuttle one vehicle between Deer Lodge and Split Mt between 5/7/16 and 5/12/16. Anthony agrees to a full settlement and releases and discharges River Runners' Transport, their agents and employees, for claims involving a pair of Oakley sunglasses. Anthony also agrees that he, other his designees, will not write negative posts about River Runners' Transport, their employees, officers, or agents, online, including, but not limited to, forums, chat rooms, or on social media. The check number 17052 is payable to Anthony Morici, at our address which we've blocked out for this review. ______________________________________________________ After receiving this email we called them to let them know this was not the aggreement we had made in a previously recorded conversation. Melanie, again, was not professional or honest and again with foul language would not send the check they agreed to send unless we signed this email and returned it to them. Conclusion, We decided to decline their 100 dollar bribe to not write reviews about River Runners Transport because we feel it is far more important that this does not happen to anyone else. We have rented raft/rafts and toilet systems from them 3 times over a period of 8 years and have had them shuttle 5 to 6 vehicles for each trip. Had an excellent experience with River Runners Transport. We had them take our vehicles from Sand Wash to Swaseys. It was awesome not to have to do the eight hour shuttle ourselves. I was beyond thrilled to see that they had also taken the time to run my truck through the car wash before dropping it off. Awesome service! I will certainly use them again. read more

Hired RRT to shuttle my truck and they didn't. left it parked in Indian Canyon after smelling smoke. after paying to get it towed, I found found out from the GMC service department there was nothing wrong with my truck except for a small amount of tar the shuttle driver picked up driving through a construction zone. Not only did RRT not refund the transport fee, the owner was in total denial that they hhad any respnsibility. this is the second time they have caused me problems and extensive additional costs. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! We had an item taken out of our vehicle that cost almost $300. They had us send a receipt of our item assuring they would take care of us. Then when we called back after leaving the country for a couple weeks they told us it wasn't there fault. So instead of reimbursing our item they told us to call the police and it isn't there problem. They finally said they would just give us the money back for the shuttle since it's there company then again went back on their word. They have wasted our time and energy and we have not received a dime of our compensation. The owners cussed at my fiancé and I on the phone and have been anything but pleasant. I've used River Runners Transport 5 or 6 times. Usually they handle the Sand Wash to Swayzey's shuttle for us, but we've also had them completely outfit us too. Everything they've done for us has been excellent. The cars have always been there when we take out, and just as we left them. The year we had them outfit the entire trip, they went WAY above and beyond to meet our requests. The way Melanie packaged all of the food made it so easy to find, and grouped everything needed by meal. They had an inventory in each box which made finding what we needed a snap. Their gear is very nice. They replace it every year, and you can tell you're floating brand new equipment. They also have great ice. If you want ice to last 7-8 days in the desert, you don't want the compressed stuff they sell at grocery stores. Melanie sells the good solid clear block ice, and for a good price. You really can't go wrong here. read more
