We had a small problem that Charlie rectified before anyone was even aware it was an issue. Kim, who helped us set up our menu in the first place, was also great. She let us do two different tastings with her to finalize a menu that would accommodate our guests, answered all of my emails promptly, and made one of the most important parts of any wedding feel like a breeze. Everyone loved the food and unique presentations. The staff were incredibly friendly and flexible and a joy to work with. They made me feel so important, like this was the biggest day of the year for them and I know they are very busy. I can't say enough positive about them but by far the most helpful thing was something rather unexpected. About 2 months before the wedding, I met with them over the phone and in person to go over their pre-wedding questionnaires. Not only did this form help make sure we were on the same page with absolutely every detail, the process helped me realize some areas where I had been a little delinquent in my planning. There's no doubt in my mind CK would've exceeded expectations. Not only are they very responsive to emails and calls, they remained helpful with any questions we had. Our families had done a taste testing with them, and everyone had loved everything CK presented. From the main courses, to the sides, and even the toppings. Everything was phenomenal. They even had a display and options on how you want your table set, from different glassware, plates, etc etc. I don't remember what kind of juice they were presenting that I went back for too many times, even that was delicious haha. Saving the best for last. The main thing that drew me to CK was they offered a day of wedding coordinator. We were so fortunate to work with Melissa. She is responsive, clearly knows what she's doing, and is more helpful than we could've asked for. She listens, she plans, and she is so dang sweet. We really wanted to do family style service, but talking the day before we were in a situation that it made sense to go buffet style just in case. Patti could tell I wasn't happy making that decision. She told me to give her a few and called me back. She pushed me back to doing family style with a buffet back up, and it turned out perfect. The weather was great, and had she not decided to go the extra mile to make family style happen, it wouldn't have. Also, the food! Working with Dustin was a complete nightmare from start to finish. The other poorly rated wedding…read morereviews are almost identical to our experience. Dustin could not properly explain any of his quotes and each time he sent us one they were wildly different quoting for different items for different amounts. He overcharged us in total 16 thousand dollars from our credit cards and threatened to pull his out wedding service if did not remove the dispute of the erroneous charges. It took months working with our credit card companies to get it the amounts back on our credit cards. Beware of giving a credit card number to a vendor. Just a few things we have in the contract writing which he did not fulfil *Food for all guests - We asked for food for 350-400 people and did not have enough to feed the 300 that attended. *20 people did not get any food at all. Another 20 only received a portion of what was supposed to be offered. We agreed and paid for a whole pig to be smoked and cooked on site. Instead a week before the wedding we were told it was not going to be possible without further explanation other than his trailer mysteriously broke down and would have to be cooked off site. As for the actual dinner service itself? My family and friends had to set up all the linens, bars etc. Dinner was slow and unapologetic We asked for two lines to be set up for our guests to make the service go quicker instead because I am sure he realized there was not going to be enough food only one line was set up which made what was supposed to be an hour service turn into a three hours. The chicken we asked to be smoked cooked on site was not smoked but propane grilled and sent out to guests raw then brought back and sent back out burnt. The Mac and cheese was completely dry. The rice was a clumpy mess and completely over cooked. Coffee, Tea and water was not provided as was agreed to in the contract. He agreed to give us some money back which know will never get sent back to us As mentioned in a previous review his illegal business practices have caught up with him and he's had a run in with the law.
