Wonderful food gives me a euphoric feeling and definitely gave me that feeling tonight. Crosstown Arts is a free gallery within the Concourse that features temporary exhibits. When we visited, we were blown away by an exhibit: "Give a Damn! Music + Activism at Stax Records." The exhibit featured artifacts (including Isaac Hayes's office desk and outfits worn on stage by Stax artists like Johnnie Taylor and Isaac Hayes), music, rare photos, and original artwork created by Shelby County middle school students. It was interesting and of great local interest! A very well laid out exhibit. After not receiving an email with the menu after one day, I called and left her a voicemail just to ensure that it was sent. In spite of that, I didn't get a phone call back. Then, I waited until later in the week to follow up via email. The person even ignored my email. The fact that I was ignored is really disheartening because I wanted to celebrate my upcoming milestone birthday there. I've reached out to them years ago, and whoever helped me was so accommodating.
