I…read moreprepaid for a consultation and the office staff offered to file a reimbursement claim for me with my insurance which they did. The office staff said if the dental office gets the check from the insurance, that money will be sent to me. Today my insurance company said I checked a box to have the reimbursement go to the provider. I did not sign such a form but the check did go to the provider and the provider has not returned it to me. I have tried several different ways to get my money but so far I have been unsuccessful. I need additional dental work but I'll have to find someone else to do it.

The price estimate for the crown alone was $1200, no payment plan available. Since the root canal used up all my dental insurance I explained that I was going to go somewhere else more affordable for my crown, that is when the receptionist told me they could ~somehow~ drop the price down to $800, and then a payment plan was magically an option. Dr. Porter does some very good work which is why I'll give this place 3 stars, but the business kinda rubs me the wrong way and I am skeptical with how they run things with the new owners. The perception toothpaste they sell is awesome.

I saw two dentists before I fortunately came across Dr. Porter, and he's been a lifesaver. I had a large hole in my tooth that neither of the other dentists could find, and by the time I saw Dr. Porter I needed a crown. Whenever I'd had fillings done by my former dentist, I continually had to go back to have my teeth filed down and I was always in pain. Dr. Porter has done wonderful work and I have never had problems following procedures. I've had such great care from him that I followed him from Midwest Dental in Hastings to Crestridge Dental in Burnsville. I wouldn't risk having shoddy work performed by dentists like the previous ones I saw and I'd highly recommend him and his staff, as I've never had a better dentist.

On closer inspection, this dentist does not accept any Delta Dental plan at all. If they took any form of Delta Dental insurance, just not my particular sub-plan, I would say, "Oh, my mistake."
