My regular dentist pulled my tooth and recommended I go to Dr. Lingle for my implant. From my initial consultation appointment, I was highly impressed and I knew I was in good hands. The staff is very professional and they explain the entire process thoroughly and they don't let you walk out of the office until your confident and understand everything. They explained the implant procedure process, the timeline, the billing, how they would work with my regular dentist throughout the process, and schedule my appointment immediately, I was amazed! Shortly after, I had my implant done. It was a very quick and painless procedure where Dr. Lingle explained everything he was doing and made sure I was okay the entire time. As we wrapped up and I was about to head home, he gave me the office phone number, his cell phone number, and home phone number in case I had questions or any issues. Luckily, I never had to call to him because everything went perfectly. The worst part about this process was that my insurance company told me they covered my implant and afterwards they said they didn't. After talking with three employees at my insurance company and not getting anywhere, I spoke with Dr. Lingle's office and they took immediate action and had an answer to me within 24 hours. I was so impressed by how they helped me that it helped my frustrations with my insurance company not helping. After some healing time, I visited for my final appointment and I healed up perfectly and was ready for the next step in my process. Even though my insurance won't cover in the future, I will be returning for my 2nd implant when the time comes. I know that when I'm at St Paul Dental Center I am in great hands and I'm confident in the work that they do. I would recommend them to anyone. PS- The free parking is nice too!​

I even changed my insurance to be able to check this place out! I absolutely was not disappointed. Plenty of parking available in the shared lot with other businesses in the building. The office is very inviting, clean, and organized. The staff has been top notch throughout all of my communication and visits so far. Major shout out to Jenna, who went out of her way to welcome me, learn about my needs/anxieties, and make sure that I felt at home and safe. She even offered local recommendations since I'm newer to the area. My favorite part of the visit was that they offered a menu of items to make me feel more comfortable in the chair! I chose a stress ball for this visit, but might choose additional items on future cleanings! Why not make it feel like a spa visit? HUGE shout-out to my hygienist, Eriel!! She was probably one of the best hygienists I've ever had. She was non-judgemental, sweet, kind, explanatory, and made sure I was doing well and comfortable throughout the visit. We had great conversation, and I felt like she had genuine interest in making sure I was in a good spot. I'd highly recommend her! Dr. Heidi Smith, was also very friendly and helpful during my exam! Lastly, I think they did an amazing job of being upfront and honest about cost throughout my visit. At times I have felt that I was not being cared for as I felt I should have been. In retrospect, I realize that I am not always in a good, happy frame of mind. That alters my perception of what is, or did, happen. Also, caregivers have off days when their minds are elsewhere because of family deaths or illnesses, so they aren't in their best happy, kind, and caring frame of mind. I know this well, as I was an R.N. for almost 60 years, served in the Navy Nurse Corps for 35 years, and served in a combat zone during the Vietnam War.

Found out late afternoon Thursday I needed to have a molar extracted as it was border line…read moreemergency case. Found this place as in network. Was able to get in on the following day which is no small feat. I was seen by Dr Newell. I discussed my concerns about my swelling and my airway closing. After careful examination he agreed that in my case it would be better handled in a clinical setting. He admitted me to North Memorial Hospital where he had me on advanced antibiotics and pain meds overnight. He wasn't even on call the following Saturday but came in and extracted my tooth while placing me under anesthesia. This gave me piece of mind regarding my airway not closing because of the raging infection. He then came back that evening at 9:30 to visit, discharge and explain to me again how everything went as he knew I was out of it when I first woke up and probably didn't catch half of what he said. He was right, I didn't . Again he could have stayed with his family on a Saturday night but took the time to see his only patient and discharge me. Pure class. I highly recommend Dr Newell for his skill but more importantly for his personal attention where in todays medicine can be hard to find. Thank you Dr Newell.

Regardless of this fact, Northern Star is absolutely taking advantage of their clients and overcharging on all fronts and the photos- the first one being an estimate from a VIRAL consultation with northern star on August 14th, 2020, and the second photo being from an In-person consultation I just had today with Dakota Valley in Burnsville- pretty much speak for themselves. As you can see from the first photo, Northern Star wanted to code two of my lower wisdom teeth as 'completely bony impacted'. I don't claim to be a dentist or claim to have the knowledge an oral surgeon has, but 'completely bony impacted', if you look it up, literally simply means "a tooth is completely inside of the bone and has not erupted through the gum," as in, it is not able to be seen in the mouth..... both of my lower wisdom teeth that they were claiming were "completely bony impacted" were visible in my mouth and had erupted through the gums. Another very questionable aspect was the fact that northern star tried to tell me that my four wisdom teeth would take 45 mins to 1 hr to extract, which meant they would get to charge me for a whole lot more for general anesthesia. The place I just had a consultation today told me, max, the entire procedure will take FIFTEEN MINUTES, because both the top teeth were a simple extraction and the bottom two, one was surgical completely erupted and the other is surgical partially bony. Northern Star mistook me for a young, naive 25 year old who wouldn't be bothered to do my own research or question what they were coding my wisdom tooth extraction as, which in essence, would've meant I would be getting charged ALOT more. Oh well- they lost a client and maybe this review will make them think twice about trying to FRAUDULENTLY miscode in order to overcharge unassuming clientele. DO YOUR RESEARCH.
