They had a 2BR end unit with a private entrance and it overlooked the lake. They rarely had any maintenance isdues, except one that occurred at the end of my last visit. They could not control the a/c and the temp in their apt kept going up and up. The office was great about sending someone out to look at it, but they just couldn't figure out was really wrong with it. They probably came over at least 3-4X in a 2 week period. They also had a dog whom they cleaned up after every time they took her out. I also walked her around the lake and always walked thru the grass and only on occasion did I see poop that was not disposed of. They enjoyed living there and we enjoyed staying there whenever we flew down to visit. We all liked the layout, the sizes of the bedrooms, the lanai and I esp liked the size of the hall guest bathroom and the nice wzarm pool!!. The only downfall was the small size of the dining area. I know they would recommend Heritage Cove to anyone looking to move to Stuart. Gayle

Don't do it!! Look elsewhere to live if you value your family's health! Black mold is a problem…read morehere! We complained several times about the ventilation in the unit and they never did anything to actually address it. Poor ventilation breeds mold. The apartment was constantly humid 70+% humidity and they don't care. We'd buy fruit and it would mold up in a day. Smells coming from the AC vents that they didn't address. The air conditioners on almost all of the units are 20+ years old and they refuse to replace them. The electric bill was sky high because of all of these ventilation issues. It's magical how when we moved into a new place we stopped having all of the health issues we were having at heritage cove. Parking is a nightmare and they even admit it. They refuse to tow cars that are parked overnight without stickers or passes and there are always several cars like this. I had to park several buildings away from my building multiple times. People also speed through the complex and don't pay attention, I was almost hit trying to cross the parking lot several times and I had my baby with me, the cars literally came out of nowhere they were driving so fast. They refused to do anything about that either even though the posted speed limit is 15mph. The "gates" in this "gated community / luxury apartments " are constantly not working either so anyone can come in whenever they want. They even had a problem with thieves stealing catalytic converters from cars in the parking lot because the complex isn't secure. Many of the apartments are also severely outdated and in need of repairs/ remodeling. Maintenance is a joke. They'd come "fix" something and it either wasn't fixed or broke again almost immediately. When you move out they try to overcharge you- they tried to charge me for a cleaning fee of $120 when the apartment was clean and the move out instructions said if it was charged it'd be $110 and a carpet cleaning fee of $80 when the move out instructions said it'd be $60 and the apartment was left cleaner than when I got it and I know the carpets were never cleaned before I moved in because of all the nastiness I vacuumed up when I cleaned it myself prior to move in. When I brought all this to their attention and mentioned I had photos they removed the cleaning fee and credited $20 for the carpet cleaning then added a bunch of new charges to get the amount back up to where it was with the erroneous fees added. Lastly they refused to do a final walkthrough with us saying they don't do it but again the move out instructions said they would on weekdays. Another huge issue they have is residents allowing their dogs off leash and pet owners not cleaning up after their pets and they claim to be trying to handle it but nothing changed the whole time I was there. I'm so happy to be out of there and in a new place that doesn't have all of these issues!

It is dog friendly and many people unfortunately don't clean up after their dogs even though there are stations throughout. Gates - it is gated, however, they break A LOT. It's very annoying how often they break. Most recently they were broken for at least 3 weeks. The new management woman, Kimber, is nice yet strict which I don't think is bad since a lot of people have big getting away with many things! Such as breaking pool rules and parking wherever they want. I have never once had an issue with parking. One time a neighbor parked in my spot, but after leaving a note it didn't happen again. Maintenance staff is great. They normally come on Thursdays to cut the grass. Sometimes they wait a long time though and it's difficult to walk my dog. If you need repairs, people have come to fix things such as my bathtub drain and mold after Hurricane Irma. Many photos they post are of the clubhouse...which can be misleading. Majority of condos are outdated with the tiled floors and older counters. Definitely no new or modern looks. Condos are affordable. Some are cheaper if they have the super old interior.

Nobody helps in the office and they usually say "we will try " Talk about trying to make money off of everything! They charge for every last thing! Unfortunately, over the past year, things have gone downhill significantly. The elevators are constantly broken. On two separate occasions, the fire department had to respond because someone was trapped inside. The hallways and elevators--especially in Building 2--often have urine and dog feces on the floors because there seem to be no consequences for residents who don't follow the community rules. As soon as you walk into the building from outside, you're greeted by the smell of urine. It's completely unsanitary. The mailroom is constantly a mess, with packages scattered everywhere. Delivery carriers and residents frequently leave the door propped open, allowing anyone without a key fob to walk in from the street. I've had two packages stolen, and although I filed police reports, I eventually had to start having all of my packages sent to a mailbox at the post office, which I now have to pay an additional fee for. The pool is frequently out of service, the property is poorly lit at night, and the gates are constantly broken, leaving residents with little sense of security. It's frustrating considering how much rent residents pay. The new management is also not personable or friendly. They do not even dress professionally Three months ago, I asked the new property manager, Jackie, if I could transfer from my two-bedroom apartment to a one-bedroom. She told me she would have to ask corporate because she had never heard of anyone making that type of transfer before and would get back to me. Three months later, I still haven't received any response. To make matters worse, I had my apartment professionally cleaned by MaidPro before moving out, yet I was still charged $165 for carpet cleaning and another $200 to remove a shelf that would have taken maintenance no more than five minutes to take down. Based on my recent experience, I cannot recommend Axis One. It's disappointing to see how much the property has declined since I first moved in, especially given the cost of living here.
