Horrible New management! I moved to Axis One 3 years ago and this place used to be amazing! Since Nikki Smith has taken over it has gone down hill fast. Our apartment has mold, gates broken, hot tub doesn't work half the time. Alarms go off constantly every other night!! I literally can't wait to move out. It's a bummer too because the neighbors are awesome! Nikki Smith will blame you for everything and make it sound like you are the problem with zero accountability! this place has potential for greatness, however, whoever moves in above me after I moved in and thought that everything was nice and silent, I have huge, huge, heavy around upstairs they stomp and stomp and stomp. I've called the office repeatedly. I've police out three times I don't pay over two grand a month so that I can be irritated nonstop all day every day at 7×24 OK especially when I'm neurodivergent and I have auditory sensory processing issues. This really sucks because now I'm stuck in a lease at a place that being helpful at all. I am in the disability unit and I well let's just say that if I could, I would choose a different place because this place has the thin walls and the loudest traveling of sound out of any apartment. Alarms sounding off for over 3 hours until 1 am and residents with ailments, infants and elderly dogs sitting on balcony sweating waiting for alarm company to show up?????? Brand new fake luxury building that from day one if it isn't mold it's the alarms. Then to put icing on the cake elevators are not working. I use to be a property manager and I can tell you this...it's not fixed because they don't want to pay EXTRA to have elevator repair come out to fix on a holiday. They send emails stating lol at least we know alarm works??? Really??? You are kidding me right???? How is it that no one that works here and LIVES here is able to do something constructive they only know how to drink and mingle and hang out by the pool. How about emailing your tenants sorry for the inconvenience, it will be deducted from your rent. No right??? Money hungry vultures they could give two shits about anyone here they just care about collecting rent and then throwing residents a few bbq parties that they have to pay...or free donuts to say we care. I will be pursuing with corporate offices this was unacceptable. I have major illness and have to walk up and down stairs during 90 or more degrees. Unacceptable!!!!! Oh and the reason why everyone's granite is crap....a glass of water leaves rings...They didn't seal it!!! I wonder why? The day I moved in I got up to get a glass of water in the middle of the night and stepped on a cockroach... I've never lived with bugs in my life. I immediately contacted management. I fogged my apartment twice by myself before they got a exterminator three weeks later. You pay a $150 convenience fee monthly which includes your pest control. I've never seen pest control again and I've been here going on 4 months... Every time I got in my bed it felt wet. I hung damp rid bags in my closet, within 24 hours both bags were completely full. There is mold in the hallway outside my unit and the paint in my apartment appears darker all around my ceilings as though they painted over mold as well. Fire alarms going off for over three hours. So far a week without an elevator and email blasts providing the residents with absolutely no information as to when it will be repaired... just thank you for your patience and repairs have been scheduled. I don't know about the other residents but my patience is growing extremely thin. I've been carrying my dog up and down four flights of stairs for a week with no end in sight. Did I mention I'm handicapped? Granite in apartments is not sealed and everything you sit on your counter leaves black rings. Valet garbage pick up has taken place only once since the elevators went out. On any given day you can walk in and there is dog feces on the carpets. People letting their dogs relieve themselves in the elevator and the building throws a lovely scent on lavender on the problem so your building now smells like dog urine and lavender. A very inviting scent to welcome you home when you are paying $2k a month for a 1 BR apartment. I moved into Axis One under the new ownership and it seems that all of the bad reviews have been fixed. Beautiful apartment, surprisingly quiet location, reasonably priced (compared to near by places). I guess the only complaint is the dogs... now I am a total dog lover and so is my girlfriend but we decided not to have one at the apartment just because it doesn't seem fair for a dog to be kind of crammed. Yesterday I get home late from work and get to step in a huge puddle of dog urine in the elevator! It stunk the whole ride up and of course I got my shoes covered on it. The next morning it still wasn't cleaned and there was now also a pile of vomit in the corner. I've seen dog feces in the hallways not picked up and now this! I can understand this is not totally the leasing offices fault and I don't know how they could fix it but cmon. I could never have my dog do that and I just walk away leaving it for someone to step in it and maintenance having to deal with it. It seems that this place has a "rude people problem" and I've lived in apartments just like this one before, I have never seen this amount of negligence in immaturity. read more

Ive been a resident at Axis One for a year. In this review I'm going over some cons that I've felt people should know before moving in. First, one of the best things about this place is THE OFFICE! The ladies that run it are great! If you need something your request will likely be handled the same day. They always strive to make everyone happy. Getting into the cons 1. This is a no smoking community, that means parking lots & balconies too, no smoking. I'm okay with this rule, but others are not. I have seen some crazy stuff! People sneak out late at night or even broad daylight to hide themselves behind peoples cars in the parking lots to smoke. Yikes. I've seen people go into their garages & shut the garage door while smoking, or people driving around the parking lot aimlessly smoking. 2. Jumping the fence, I've seen both adults & teens hopping the fence all throughout the year, odd behavior. 3. DOGS.. this place has a small dog park and over 100 dogs living here, this isn't a very easy place to have dogs, there's minimal areas in this complex for your dog to be a dog. & the owners let there dogs pee directly outside the main entrances of the buildings too - So as soon as you open the main door to the outside your hit with a VERY strong hot pee smell. Also, there are A LOT of dog owners here that walk their dogs on THE HOT PAVEMENT, not the sidewalk, but the black tar pavement.. burning your dogs feet shouldn't be a part of your daily walk. Hard to watch. I've seen many let their dogs off leash here, in the parking lots, running wherever. People also like to put their dogs out on their balcony for them to bark endlessly in the heat, I've reported many of these people I speak of. THE ELEVATORS, there are dog owners in building 2 that allow their dogs to pee in the elevators and leave it. I've seen it at least 7 times since living here. This has made me & several other residents very angry. Number 4. SPEEDING. This place has some insanely fast drivers, 9 out of 10 people are driving 40mph through the complex, at all times of the day. I've almost been hit twice walking and almost hit while driving by the middle building intersection several times- nobody is stopping at that intersection. So scary. I drive and walk so overly cautious through this complex now because so many people are out control. VERY CONCERNING IN A COMMUNITY OF OVER 200 PEOPLE. Number 5. The stairwells in all the buildings are filthy.. they are not being cleaned or watched/washed regularly. I see one housekeeper lady walking around this complex but never getting into any nook & crannies, just the same surfaces over and over so she can be done & leave for the day. Hire more cleaners! Motivated ones! This is a big place! Please! Suggestions to fix these cons: I believe 100% there should be an active neighborhood watch person here 24/7, this would cut down on the speeding issues, the sneaky smoking, the unleashed dogs, the fence jumpers, the litterers, the people who let there dog pee on the front entrances.. I definitely think it would be BENEFICIAL & needed. SPEED BUMPS should definitely be added to this property, everywhere, it's THAT bad, the speeding is SO bad. And SECURITY CAMERAS.. The dog pee in the elevator has GOT to stop.. cameras please! In the elevator, the halls, the outside areas! People have proven that we obviously need them because they will continue to trash this place if not!! The front desk peeps are amazing, but they are unfortunately not walking the grounds and seeing a lot of this take place. This place desperately needs EYES- the back of the property, the side, the front, ALL of it. Maintenance rides around on the cart but they aren't in tune with all the things happening around here. We absolutely need a neighborhood watch guy here 24/7. I've talked with a lot of people that also share the same concerns. So take this review how you wish, just consider these factors before moving in. Please Axis One, if you could put some of these suggestions into action I assure you it will be even better here! Don't bother renting here. Rent elsewhere. High rent and residents not getting what was promised. Only elevator in building broken for a week with no date for repair provided. Garbage consistently not picked up. Pool furniture filthy. Door fobs haven't worked for over a month. Security gates still not operational. Amazon hub not being used for deliveries causing residents to have to search building for packages. Only hallways that get cleaned are near where model apartment is - all other hallways seldom cleaned. Staff is mostly nice but they don't instill confidence in residents that they are problem solvers. No sense of immediacy. read more
