We checked in for a multiple night stay, and were given a room right away, even though we were a bit early for check in. The staff was helpful and friendly, and told us they'd do their best to keep us in the same room, even though we had separate reservations for our stay, as we were booked under a tour group for the last 2 nights. They were dutiful about reciting all of the amenities of the hotel, and handed us a print out of various hotel info that we'd find helpful.
Our room wasn't large, with one queen bed, but it was serviceable and comfortable. My one complaint would be that there wasn't a chest of drawers to unpack our clothes in, so we lived out of our suitcases, even though we were here for 5 nights. They need to get some cubbies or shelves made for small spaces; there is room for that kind of thing if they get creative. The bedside tables were so small that you could fit some socks and underwear in them, but that was it; I had to move the phone onto the floor just to make room for my books. Silly. Even those could have been bigger, as there was space on each side of the bed for larger furniture.
On the plus side, the beds were comfy, there was plenty of hot water and a lovely rain shower head in the bathroom, and this is a great location from which to see the sights, dine, drink and party in Inverness. read more
