Food was great at the River City Pub. I had their poutine, which had curds, gravy, bacon bits and shaved roast beef. Each ingredient that was in the entree was distinctive in flavour that stands out. I also had their Peach Smash cocktail, which was a little sour but still refreshing. The waiters that served me were very nice and always seemed happy to see me whenever they came by. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

If I had to rate this place, the staff, excluding the manager, would get a 100 percent for their great service. However, if I had to rate the manager on duty during the evening shift on 12/30, I would say he lacked any common sense regarding restaurant management. First, I played pull tabs and was then told I couldn't claim my winnings for the rest of the night. My friends were turned away at the door because they weren't "eating," even though several others were lined up at the bar just for drinks. The manager instructed the staff not to admit anyone there just to drink, and informed guests they might have to wait 45 minutes to an hour for a table. He was running the hostess stand as if it were a nightclub. His behavior was unprofessional, and if they can't pay out gambling winnings, they shouldn't offer the games. He seemed too lazy to get the money from the back. The staff agreed that he was unpleasant and not a competent manager. read more

Went there for lunch today. Placed order at 12:10. By 12:50 still no food. Had to get back to work. Looks like their "Big dam burger" is actually no damn burger. read more

I would like to file a complaint because I had attempted to enter into your establishment. The person who had g us as we entered, ask for our IDs, which I have no problem with, and while I wasn't drinking, I already explicitly stated that I was not trying to order any alcohol. This hostess let us in. However, when we went to our table, and then a waiter came, he asked us for our IDs, which again I did not have a problem with. However, my problem is that after already being told it was OK to be in the bar, to order non-alcoholic items, this server told me that I could not. These different answers I found to be rude and unprofessional, not to mention confusing. In fact, he told me that I had to leave immediately. I don't have a problem with an establishment being only open to those who are 19 or older, but I do have a problem where I am initially let in and allowed to do searching activities, then later another person tells me the exact opposite and kicks me out. You need to train your seasonal workers better. read more

Staff friendly and helpful! Unfortunately they were let down by their kitchen staff! The food was under cooked, gray, raw, cold fish with soft, half cooked batter! Gross!! read more

We were overnighting in revelstoke, looking for a pet friendly spot to dine. We stopped at the River city pub and settled in on the deck. I ordered Szechwan beef lettuce wraps from the 'favourites' menu. When it arrived it had 2 leaves of lettuce and a side of rice. I asked the waitress for a couple more leaves of lettuce, and she stated she had to check with the cook. Someone came out and explained to me that was how it was served. I pointed out the menu said lettuce OR rice and I had ordered lettuce. He then proceeded to explain that I was wrong. He did bring me another couple of leaves but made me feel like he was doing me a favour (I did confirm that I was correct about the menu) After all that the beef was chewy and tough. And I felt the maître d? Cook? Manager? Was condescending and the waitress indifferent. Maybe it was a one-off, but based on my experience I do no recommend River City Pub in Revelstoke. read more

Service is great. Food is great. We stopped in for lunch after several hours on Mt Revelstoke. If you're passing through town, be sure to stop in. read more

What a disappointment! Wanted to support a local business instead of the "corporates" while travelling for business. Waitress working the patio seemed nice enough as she served the older couple. The switch was definatly flipped when serving me. Don't know what the issue was - I'm a 50 year old white guy, I'm traveling by myself so it must mean it's a given I will be hitting on her (NEVER going to happen), or I look like the guy who broke up with her best friend. I could care less about my treatment, but want to warn others. You may be in for a less than memorable experience, if you do not check a certain box. I travel through Revy on a quartely basis - next time I'll hit McDonalds or keep going. read more

VEGANS BEWARE - or really anyone with food allergies DO NOT EAT HERE. We went here over xmas holiday and they were busy. Staff was initially very nice, but then things got weird. We both ordered the "Plant-based chicken" and specifically asked for no mayo on mine "all vegan please" is what I said. When we got our sandwiches, I took one bite, looked at it & it was crystal clear it was NOT vegan & in fact an actually dead chicken/flesh sandwich. Grossed me out, but mistakes happen I get it, so when I was able to get servers attention, I let her know that we didn't get the plant based sandwiches, pointed out the definitely not vegan chicken patty and she said "oh, that's vegan we don't serve any regular chicken". Which is an odd thing to say given that there are several "regular" (aka non-plant based sandwiches) on their menu. So either EVERYONE is getting planted based chicken that looks & smells & tastes like chicken flesh and they are being lied to about what kind of chicken they are getting, or our server flat out lied about what kind of sandwich I got. Since the server refused to admit any kind of mistake had been made & there wasn't anyone else to talk to, I was left with eating just my fries as there was no way I was eating dead chicken. Now, for me, eating such a thing is upsetting & gross, but for anyone with food allergies such an error & refusal to remedy or even acknowledge it could be dangerous. I reached out to the restaurant multiple times politely asking for an explanation & even asked "what kind of plant based chicken do you serve?" in the wildly unlikely case they serve some kind of weird very realistic vegan "chicken" and I've received no response of any kind. There are plenty of other restaurants around Revelstoke that take their vegan options seriously, patronize one of those instead of this place. read more

This place is a great hangout right in the middle of downtown revelstoke. The waitresses are super friendly and has a great pub atmosphere any time of Day. Lots of TVs if you are looking for sports and they too have a shuttle service. The food is good and at night is a perfect place for mingling! read more

LOVE the River City Pub. Great food, excellent service and a respectful Happy Hour. Social distancing is being fulfilled and having the windows open and fresh air through-out really makes for an enjoyable experience. When we are back in Revelstoke (The Stoke) we will most definitely be returning to RCP. read more

Got sucked in for the $16 chicken parmy and beer night, the parmigiana was as dry as they come with basically no sauce or cheese. It looked nothing like the photo in the advertisement. Food aside, the staff were friendly and the beers selection was decent. read more

Pretty good pub food. We were looking for wings, dry ribs and beer and those were among the things in the menu. The lemon pepper dry ribs were especially good. Nicely seasoned and juicy inside. The hot wings had the proper flavour, could have been spicier and the skin should have been crisper as it was a bit fatty still. The Caesar salad was above average though. Normally I'm disappointed with bar Caesar salad but this was good. Nice and creamy with a bit of citrus flavour. The service was friendly and quick. read more

Went here 3 nights ago and drove all the way from Edmonton to Revelstoke and this place just ruined the experience. If you're a person of colour, avoid coming to Revelstoke or atleast the downtown. The people are rude and stare at you. Blatantly experienced racism and it wasn't just me. I came with 6 other people and 5/7 of us were of colour. Our waitress's demeanor changes whenever she reached our table. She had big smiles and faster service to everyone else in the pub (which everyone was white. We were the only non-whites). We arrived at 8pm and called in advance asking what time they closed and was told they closed at midnight and last calls were at 11. We get there and our waitress said we had 2 mins to decide what to get because they didn't want to "stress out" the kitchen. 4 hours before they closed. I work in the restaurant and bar industry and I've never heard such bullshit. We each got 2 drinks in which she messed up and forgot a couple. And after 30 mins we left and to no surprise as we were leaving we saw everyone else had fresh plates of nachos and food. The worst experience ever. I would give a 0 if I could and advise everyone of colour to avoid this at all costs. read more

We stopped here on Sunday as it was a place with air conditioning being 35+ degrees outside. It's your typical small town pub decor; with the usual locals completely drunk then let to drive home afterwards. Unlike the pub in Armstrong who makes sure people don't drink and drive. Anyways this place has its music turned up extremely loud for early afternoon, it was difficult to hold a conversation. Also the tv's had their volumes up very loud as well. Yikes!! So dont go here unless you want to yell at each other. Onto the food. Hmm, what can I say. Hubby had the "big damn burger". He thinks it was a homemade patty but not sure. It's nothing super special, just very basic with mustard and mayo on it. Could have used a little sprucing up in that area. He ate it. I had the chicken ciabatta sandwich. Again, nothing special on it. Basic mayo condiment. The chicken was quite dry and I couldn't eat the edges as they were hard. The fries were good though. Our server was very sweet, which was a plus. But we had to repeat our order to her for the extreme music volume in there. Vice versa when she asked us anything. There is an outside patio which seemed nice, but it was way too hot to sit out there. So this place is just a "meh" for us. Not sure if we'd try it again. read more

Dennis was awesome! We were stuck in town due to a road closure for 7 hours on our way to Banff and came in for a drink at the bar. Dennis's personality and great hospitality made a few hours fly by. The food and beer selection was fantastic. We will definitely be back next time we're in Revelstoke! read more

The service is absolutely the worst In the world McDonald's has friendlier staff. The food is okay if you want to be up all night puking, I highly recommend not coming here! Awful experience. read more

The food was average...there are way better places to eat in the small town of Revelstoke that you don't have to take your chances with this pub! The Service was horrible. Waitresses were frazzled by a 30% customer capacity. Waitresses were rude to one another. Our table of four went unnoticed for 12 minutes before I got up and got my own menus ( the waitress finally walked over to us) We went through 3 waitresses in the 1.25 hours that we were seated. Our food was sitting under the hot lamps for a long time before the cook actually yelled out to the waitresses. I usually try and see the glass 1/2 full but in this dining experience I would say the glass was totally empty. Thumbs down...this place is awful. read more

I've only ever spent time in the pub section of the hotel. While the food is about as average as pub food can get, the atmosphere and dance floor make up for it. I've spent a lot of time playing pool with a pitcher of beer here. Excellent memories, and always a good time:) read more

Great hustle from the staff when 30 people suddenly walk in! It was a lovey surprise to have an amazing vegan quinoa salad during happy hour. I really appreciate the obviously talented chefs in the kitchen who understand what it's like to be hungry after a day if skiing and be vegan. My husband enjoyed his hot and plentiful calamari. Wonderful! Thank you! We will be back again and again. read more

Good food, great atmosphere and fast service. Very boring bathroom. The servers were very friendly and pleasant.

Fun atmosphere! We are always able to find a seat. Great pub food and great service.

Was not impressed. Ate here for dinner and the next night for a small gathering were appetizers were served. Food was dry, burgers had a funny after taste, salad dressing bottled. It is attached to the 112 steakhouse, I think the less fancy version. I think I'll be canceling my 122 Rez. read more

Came into watch the game (which seemed like the only place in town showing it) with my girlfriend. Lots of big screens. I was welcomed by both the waitress and bar tender which was nice. A fantastic selection of beers (around 10 taps I think). I had one of the local mount Begbie beers and a big dam burger with fries. Great combo. Atmosphere was good. Service was great. Food was good pub food. Would recommend this place for anyone passing through. read more

Food was perfectly edible. But if you want better than what your bachelor brother can cook up, yet for the price of something much better, I'd say skip this place. I had the ribs, which I am quite certain were reheated in the microwave, and the sauce, I'm sure, was the teriyaki sauce from Costco. My husband had the club and fries, with gravy. The gravy tasted good, tasted the same as the package you can get from Costco, though apparently the cook forgot to stir it, it was very lumpy. The sandwich and fries were both good, but I'm starting to suspect costco is the main provider of the food here. read more
