Was in town for work, went here for dinner twice. Good food, prices are ok, service was mediocre the first time, better the second time. The rib dinner is great, the chicken burger not so much. Unfortunately the thing that stuck out the most during my second visit was the lack of distancing among staff and the blatant disregard for any sort of pandemic-related safety measures. Sure, they wipe down the tables and chairs with what I assume to be disinfectant, however I saw them using the same cloth over and over. Masks? None to be found. Behind the bar, staff mingle and chat and congregate and touch each other as if the world hadn't changed. Very disappointing. Overall, the experience was anxiety-inducing. That may have been offset if the food and service were amazing, but they weren't. They were average at best. If this restaurant wants to stay open they might want to re-examine their COVID-19 policies and figure out a way to enforce them, particularly among staff. read more

My wife and I stopped in for a few bevvies and were treated to excellent service on the busy patio overlooking the marina channel in Sicamous. Our server was quick with initial drinks and never let us run dry! We did not plan to eat, but ended up trying out a plate of wings which were quite good! As more time passed and my appetite grew, I decided to try the Friday rib special. $22 got a full rack of ribs, fries, beans and coleslaw. It was fresh and hot when it arrived at the table. Fortunately, my better half was able to put some of the generous portion away! I look forward to paying another visit soon! read more

The food was typical pub fare, but it took close to an hour to get our food with no explanation. When we enquired, the server became argumentative, as if 45 min+ was a reasonable time to wait with zero communication as to why, and no apologies about it. We told some of our friends about it, hoping it was just us, but they said the exact same thing happened to their parents this week. It's not even busy in town right now. Not a bad place if your not that hungry when you show up and you have time to kill. read more

Location of the pub is pretty ideal on a summer day but the service and food is below average. We have tried to call ahead for take out on the boat or just showed up. No change in service or quality in either situation. In all cases the service is just slow and nobody seems to care if your meal is a half hour late or if you stand at the front for 20mins. It was my first time at this restaurant and it was luckily not busy, however that had no bearing on how long we would stand at the front before a hostess slowly meandered her way, away from her cell phone, to finally greet us. Being that I was famished, I could not wait to open the menu and pick out a delicious meal! Aiya! Disappointment, upon disappointment! Rarely have a seen such a dismal selection of offerings. How boring, how uninspired. The fact that the business has been here for years, thus cementing itself as a staple of sicamous, seems to have allowed them to push boring, mediocre options for dinner without worrying if people will like it or not. Either that or they are counting on their patrons to be so liquored up when they come here that they don't realize how truly abysmal their meal is. It was painstaking trying to choose which one of these merger offerings was least offensive to eat. Having choose fish and chips, a few cocktails and a couple desserts... I was in for a world of hurt. The desserts were the best part of the meal despite them clearly not having been made in house. However, if you throw enough sugar and cream into something you could make anything taste good. The server was somewhat spaced out despite the restaurant not being busy. I get it, it's summertime and she's a pretty girl I'm sure she's getting smashed on a boat every night and coming in hungover or sleep deprived. Enjoy your youth, I'm sure your looks will be enough to make most customers overlook your attitude and forgetfulness. The fries were quite tasty but, again, that's not really a hard thing to make. The fish n chips..they say "you can't really mess up fish kn chips" right??? I could tell by the first minute I cut into this deep fried monstrosity that it was OVERCOOKED. Was it deep fried or was it mummified? Perhaps we will never know. I certainly won't know because I didnt eat more than one bite. I honestly just wish I had never gone there. I wish I had eaten some plain toast at home. I wish I never met that menu or that server. I can't begin to explain how profoundly sad that experience made me feel for the future of cuisine and the world itself. If this place can, not only survive, but flourish and have positive reviews then our society is just speeding towards a tomorrow of mediocrity and disappointment. We deserve better. read more

The location of this bar/grill can't be beat- a large patio on the water is begging for warm summer days, good company, and cold cocktails. Other than that, this is your average re-fueling stop on the way to or from home. The portions are sizeable and you may have to wave down your waiter a few times but all in all, a decent stop to grab a bite! read more

I came here on a Thursday.. it was dead. I was welcomed right away- I picked a table to sit at. I wish I could enjoyed the patio but it was cold and rainy. The view is great. Had the Cajun shrimp and fish tacos both delicious. If this place was full it would be a great time for sure?!!! read more

Me and a group of friends stopped in town for a bite to eat before heading off on our house boating trip. The restaurant was very accommodating to our group and allowed us to push a couple tables together. Although we were unable to enjoy it, the restaurant has a lovely lake side view. The service was friendly but could have been a bit more attentive to our empty drink glasses. Everyone was pleased with their meals when they came but the fries that came with my fish n' chips were rather cold, dry and bland. Pretty standard fair at this pub. Sat on the patio as it was a warm Saturday night and took in the view. Nothing on the menu jumped out at me as I searched for that one item that would inspire me to venture off the well worn pub food trail. I settled for the beef dip while my beautiful dining partner had the fish tacos. My dish was the same as you will find anywhere, nothing to set it apart from every other bar served beef dip in western Canada. The tacos were actually quite tasty which was a nice surprise. Service was a bit slow and spotty but the pub patio was quite busy so I was able to overlook that. I will say that you if you are looking for a glass of wine and bite to eat after a long journey then this place will fill the bill, but after perusing the menu several times and seeing the meals coming out of the kitchen don't expect the wow factor to kick in. read more

Went out for anniversary dinner with kids. Moose Mulligans is one of the only restaurants in town, and it shows. They try to drain tourist money because they can. The food was bar type appetizer food, even for their entrees. The food was slow. I had their rib special. Too much crappy BBQ sauce. My wife had the steak, also the same crappy BBQ sauce. Vegetables were overcooked, and the kids hated their Chipolte pasta. Almost 3 hours. The floor was a mess. We come to Sicamous every year and are appalled at the lack of good restaurant choices. This is the third time I have been here and it will be the last. We will travel the extra distance to go in to Salmon Arm or Vernon. A good restaurant makes a small town. Sicamous is lacking in this area. Anyone want a good opportunity? I am sure if a better restaurant opened up, people would flock to it. read more

So, loved the look and feel of the place! A note on the door let us know that the kitchen was closing at 9:00 because of them being short staffed because of the wild fires. Valid! The smoke was brutal coming into town. Got to restaurant at 6:50. Hostess was kind. Order was taken quickly by our waitress, which was great. It was busy but many people were finishing their meals at this time. By 8:00, we hadn't received our meals but worse, our waitress puttered around filling up supplies and didn't once apologize for the long wait or even acknowledge us! At 8:10 we finally received delicious hot food. I'd finished my drink and sat with an ignored empty glass through my entire dinner. Come on man! Fill my water glass! read more

Upon arriving, there were many people waiting for a table and there was little organization between restaurant staff and waiting patrons. We were seated upstairs because "they have kids" and it wasn't as nice as downstairs. The menu was overpriced fast food, basically. We struggled to find a meal that looked half-decently healthy. Service was slow and our food took a long time to arrive (45 minutes after ordering). To be fair to our server, she looked like she had a lot of tables and had to carry food up from the downstairs kitchen. Our meals were very disappointing - and certainly looked NOTHING like the photos shown here! My $18 burger was dry and flavourless and the fries were cold and tasteless. Between the three of us, we had a burger with fries, fish tacos (appetizer size) and starter size Caesar salad. We drank water and had nothing else to eat - $42 before any tip!!! We will definitely never eat here again. The only reason I gave even one star was for the waterfront location. read more

Went for lunch for first time this year .. The menu has changed and in my opinion its much improved from last year. I had the crab cakes and mixed salad sides and my wife had the Caesar salad and shrimp. We ate on the top deck and view was great, it was busy but service was friendly and very good. I have never been motivated to write a review, and I am sad to say this is my first. I am a big fan of cheese burgers and order regularly from menus across Canada. By far, Moose Mulligans had the worst cheese burger that I have experienced. Overcooked, and beyond small. In fact, the kids burger I ordered for my daughter outsized the regular burger which cost twice as much. When I pointed this out to the Australian server, I was met with such disdain I felt like I had just been spanked. Most uncommon of a commonwealth citizen! With a level of disgust reserved for Trump supporters, she explained that the kids burger was made with a poorer quality meat and was therefore bigger and thus cheaper. Really? Peter, you need to do a better job selecting quality staff and spend more time training if you ever want to sell. Or maybe you just don't care? read more
