The food however was honestly meh (in my opinion). I got a creole dish and to be fair my dish looked beautiful. The plating was 10/10 but the taste for me left something to be desired. After eating this dish I questioned if I even like creole sauce because it really just wasn't that good. If this is a preference issue, I honestly don't know. I also thought the charcuterie appetizer had a weird mix of items on it from club crackers, to meat and cheese, and random veggies. Not bad but just kind of a weird mix. My husband ordered the salmon and he said it was good, not the best he's had but it was good. Other friends of ours got the white fish among the many other dishes. I did have a salad with these apples on it which was incredibly yummy. I will say though my dish looked amazing some of the other dishes were not plated well. Not to nitpick but to want to be considered a more upscale restaurant which means charging guest more money than say a local Applebee's then knowing how to appropriately garnish or drizzle sauce to elevate at plate is important (see my picture of the chicken dish). All and all not my favorite restaurant but definitely not the worst!!

Waitress came over to introduce themselves and recommend us starters & drinks for the evening. Starters & Drinks: I ordered the Caesar salad & my man got the goat cheese salad. He ordered a blackberry smash while I got sprakling Pear. Took the waitress some time to come back over so we can order our main course. Took another 30-35 mins for the entrees to come out. Entree: creole spiced braised pork osso buco & short rib pasta. I give this place a 7.5/ 10 due to the food wait times. I will try on another day

Their "menu" could definitely be updated. It's just 2 papers stapled together written out from word document. The place looks new and nice, but the tables and chairs should be replaced to make the interior. The only thing really keeping this rating from being a 5 star though is that almost everything was over cooked. Except the cornbread muffin. That thing was so soft, moist, and a little sweet too. The sample appetizer had a lot of good flavors. The honey gold was delicious, but the wings were dry from being over cooked. The mozzarella sticks had a thick batter that made it a bit hard. The best appetizer was the southwest egg roll. I had the chicken Philly cheese, the chicken was over cooked on that too. As well as the onion rings. It all had a good flavor though. My husband had the pulled pork burger and it was pretty big, but also big flavors. This place is out of the way for us, but I wouldn't mind coming back and seeing if maybe it was just an off day.

Local Bar with Massive Rib-eyes…read more Mcadoo's is an experience, and one you should explore if you are in the Blytheville area. I have, over the years, wanted to go and check the place out, but a combination of not being able to find it and not having enough time has always kept me from a visit. During my last visit to Blytheville, a business colleague and I decided to check this infamous establishment out and have a business dinner, beers, and rib-eyes. Mcadoo's is located in central Blytheville, across from the fire station, and it is in a simple metal shack, which can make it hard to find. There are no signs on the building, just the name written on the entrance door. Inside, you find a fully functioning bar with pool tables and plenty of tables to sit at. Mcadoo's has an old-school vibe as the inside is lit up by old-school red lights. Like bars of old, you can smoke inside; keep this in mind if you are a non-smoker or have allergies to smoke. Mcadoo's has a fully stocked bar, but it's mostly known for its rib-eye steaks. Our server came to our table and informed us that they had no apps and that our only options were rib-eye with salad, baked potato, and toast, or rib-eye with toast, as nothing else was available on the menu. The rib-eyes took about twenty minutes to arrive, and they were massive and cooked to perfection. The salad and the baked potato were fresh and okay, but the focus was on the steak. The steaks were juicy and tender, and they were also very affordable. The allure of Mcadoo's is the experience, the full bar and the affordable rib-eyes. It is also a favourite place for locals to hang out. Overall, a good experience and a great rib-eye dinner.

Miss Barbara is a most delightful hostess and owner. Looking for local color? This is the place. The entrance does not face the road so you will have to look for the building that looks like a body shop, but the spacious interior has a big bar and plenty of seating with several pool tables. Clearly this is a neighborhood hangout.

On this day of the week (Wednesday), the restaurant featured their fried chicken. A local resident had strongly and repeatedly recommended Mae's food. My friend and I both ordered the fried chicken. I'm sure glad that I did! It was perfectly breaded, seasoned, and cooked. We were given our choice of cut, and we both chose chicken breasts. It was nicely-sized and fresh. I would definitely recommend it, and I would order it again. For side items, the collard greens, sweet potatoes, and blackeye(d) peas were all delicious and properly prepared. I ate every last bit, especially since the portion sizes were a bit too small. I would suppose that tiny portions dramatically reduce food waste. The square of cornbread was quite welcomed. I had also heard that Mae's cooks up some delicious pork chops (on Thursdays) and meatloaf (some Fridays). I look forward to trying those as well. The building doesn't have central air conditioning, but rather a series of window units. During the height of summer, it can get uncomfortably hot inside the restaurant, so they do a lot of take out business. If you want to eat inside, be sure to pick a cool/cloudy day. Also, the parking situation is a bit chaotic, with no designated spaces marked out. It's kind of a free-for-all. The safest bet is to backup into an open spot, just for better visibility when you leave. I made the mistake of parking head-in. It took me forever to back out. The street that runs in front of the restaurant is full of fast and careless drivers. Be sure to take some cash with you, because this place doesn't accept any credit or debit cards.
