In addition to this installation, they upgraded my electric panel. Other HVAC installers estimated that I would need a 1.5 ton unit. But Burns insisted that a 2 ton would be perfect for the space and not overwork the unit. They were 100% right. The unit is utilized for a renovated attic space. So it does get extremely hot in the summer. If I had gone with the 1.5 ton unit then it would have been overworking itself. I have to say they did all of this work with incredible integrity and for a fraction of the cost that I was quoted from other HVAC businesses.

They confirmed in writing that:    *   The part is fully covered under the manufacturer's warranty ($0 to me), and    *   The install is about a 1-hour job, with a labor quote less than half of Green Street's total. Strangely, the side of the house farthest from the AC unit was the coldest, while the bedrooms never seemed to cool down properly. Initially, they thought some plumbing underneath the house might be restricting the cold-air returns and recommended that I have that addressed first. I had the plumbing moved to improve the airflow, but unfortunately, that did not solve the problem. The MainStream team came back and continued troubleshooting the system. They carefully checked the ductwork until they discovered a damper that was restricting airflow to the bedrooms. Once they opened the damper, the difference was immediate. The system is now distributing air properly, and the temperature throughout my house is more consistent than it has been in years. What impressed me most was that they didn't simply give up when the first possible solution didn't fix the problem. They came back, continued investigating, found the actual cause, and corrected it.
