I was very pleased not only with their work ethic but also with their willingness to fix issues that were done incorrectly by contractors before them. I am not extremely mechanically inclined but the technician Adam was patient with my questions and went out of his way to explain things to me. Overall this was the best experience we have ever had with any contractor we have had complete work in our home. Sherry and Stephen Titzer

It all started by contacting them to get a simple quote their were on time and their price was very competitive. The most impressive part was that Kevin was very patient and extremely knowledgeable about the work that he was quoting and explained step-by-step exactly what he will be doing. After receiving several bids, I went ahead and asked for a quick start and they jumped on the working mediately and finished up in one day! I even had to step out and told Kevin I would be right back and had another contractor show up and Kevin was nice enough to let the contractor know what I needed done since I was not present, this is called going above and beyond! Do not waste your time shopping around, trying to cut corners, go with a credible company that knows what they're doing, experienced and the price was respectful. I am happy! Oh before I forget, after the installation there was a small issue that was a concern, they immediately addressed it and were there right away! This to me was impressive because they back up their word on service!!!!! Thank you Brian Schmitt and crew!

I purchased an HVAC system from Green Street HVAC nearly three years ago for about $18,000--paying…read morealmost $10,000 more than an alternate (unlicensed) quote--only because I was assured parts and labor would be covered and the company would stand behind the install. During a cold front, I requested service (Ref: Estimate #20631848) and asked for basic documentation (contract copy, warranty registration, and a fully itemized estimate with OEM part numbers/MSRP and labor breakdown). The estimate came back over $3,000, with ~$1,700 just for the part, and included a line labeled "Band-Aid." After consulting Service, Inc. (Nashville) and Hiller, I learned "Band-Aid" can function as open-ended billing--i.e., "whatever it takes" after the part is installed, with no clear cap. To verify, I had Service, Inc. review the job. They confirmed in writing that:    *   The part is fully covered under the manufacturer's warranty ($0 to me), and    *   The install is about a 1-hour job, with a labor quote less than half of Green Street's total. In plain terms:    *   I paid a premium (~$18k), nearly $10k more than another bid, for peace of mind (parts + labor assurances).    *   Before a storm, I asked for help and transparency.    *   Green Street quoted $3,000+, including $1,700 for a warranty part that should be $0.    *   Their estimate used "Band-Aid," flagged by two licensed contractors as open-ended/uncapped language.    *   Service, Inc. honored the warranty ($0 part) and quoted a clear, fair price for ~1 hour of work. I support local businesses that do right by their customers--especially when families are relying on heat in bad weather. My experience with Green Street HVAC was unresponsive, non-transparent, and inconsistent with what was promised. If you're considering them, insist--in writing--on:    *   Proof of manufacturer warranty registration (model/serial + confirmation),    *   Written parts coverage terms (what's $0 under warranty), and    *   A fully itemized estimate (OEM part numbers, MSRP/list, exact labor hours & rate; avoid vague "Band-Aid" codes). Date of service request: 10/25 Estimate: #20631848 TL;DR: Green Street quoted $3,000+, including $1,700 for a warranty part and an open-ended "Band-Aid" line. Service, Inc. (Nashville) confirmed the part is $0 under warranty and the job is ~1 hour, at less than half of Green Street's total.

Their employees lack the training, skills, and company support to do their jobs. My system was recently completed and this morning it failed. The reason is it failed was it was not installed correctly. The owner will come on here and try and blame me for all the issues and you're free to figure out who's lying and who's telling the truth? And if you want to talk to me or see the horrific job they did please feel free to contact me. This company did a horrible job and has no clue what customer service means or customer satisfaction. Looks very much like they're going out of business so please do your diligence before signing a contract with Mainstream. Darryl Pater (owner of Mainstream) will respond to this and tell you this was all my fault. Believe who you will but his word is worthless and his moral compass seems broken. Frank Stewart is the only employee he has that is a man of his word and actually cares about the customer. I support small businesses wholeheartedly but this guy doesn't deserve to be in business any longer
