I like that Forward has a reward system now, even though it's pretty rudimentary. This is a small store and it's often quite busy and crowded. A lot of the popular items are often sold out for up to a week at a time. Forward could totally make money on expanding this location. I'd personally love to see more mini-mart type food items for sale here. Overall, it's got decent gas station level prices on most things except milk, which is at minimum a dollar more than anywhere else here. Gas prices are OK here, too. I'm still going to be a daily customer, but I'd love to see improvements.

I've hit this station several times, usually when leaving the West Branch area, where we've often stayed at a friend's house on the lake, or sometimes on the way down from the UP. The location is convenient, there are plenty of pumps, adequate parking, and they serve fresh Coffee Beanery coffee here, not the cheap gas station variety that sucks. I like this location because it is an easy on/off access to the expressway, less than a mile back to the ramps. The store is clean, has the best coffee, and the cashiers are always friendly and ask about my trip, a good variety of snacks, plus they have some kitschy novelty souvenirs, including t-shirts, art and rustic Northern Michigan doodads. I think, even though it's a gas station/convenience store, that this is the place to stock up for your weekend trip if you're staying in the area. The bathrooms are even clean by gas station standards and it's open 24/7. There is a gas station across the street, however, I always stop here because it's bigger and cleaner, plus they have all those weird souvenirs that I think are amusing.
