Good luck getting your meds here, you'll need it. The pharmacy is poorly staffed and scheduled. If you're lucky enough for someone to be working there then maybe you'll only have to wait half an hour for meds you called in for refill a week ago. It's been an ongoing problem here for years but has only gotten worse as time has gone on. Worse Pharmacy Ever! When you call they put on hold forever, or they have there phones shut off. How is one suppose to get there RX's if they do not answer phone? There text messaging system does not work at times. They make mistakes on RX's because it's obvious with the turn around in staff they are not trained. Its unfortunate because in this area of where we live there is not that many choices for a pharmacy, they know this and use it to their advantage! Yes they have a lot of turn around with different pharmacists and staff and are very short staffed, which is unfortunate for the employees and the people like me that need RX's. Very poor pharmacy! I find it odd that I'm leaving a review for rite-aid, but this place is a special kind of bad. The pharmacy consistently does not refill prescriptions for days after the order has been submitted, closes for a 30 minute lunch every day with people in line, and has some of the rudest employees I've ever met. read more

The store is ok, nothing outstanding and you can usually find it cheaper elsewhere. The one dept that has me turned off the whole store is their pharmacy. Poorly managed and never get prescriptions filled on time. My doctor personally called at 8:30am and by 1pm, the prescription wasn't filled, they said 20 mins which turned into 50mins. This shows that Rite Aid has zero respect for anyones time and they're always running around like chicken with their heads cut off. Such a shame because this is the closest pharmacy to our house but I guess driving down the street to Bartells should save me time and headache overall. If you value your time, choose a different pharmacy. Oh and I agree with another reviewer, they never pick up phone and when they do expect a long hold time...it's because it's pure chaos there. read more

The pharmacy staff are always friendly and willing to help starting from the top with Debbie the manager on down to the staff pharmacist Elena and the technicians Debbie and Dan and the friendly cashier Inessa who always asks how your day is going. Even in the face of the pandemic, the staff has worked hard in sanitizing the pin pads, making sure medications are stocked and filled and even offering delivery which is very helpful for patients who may not be able to leave their homes. The front staff are also very friendly and work hard to try and keep shelves stocked as adequately as possible, something that can sometimes be out of their control based on distribution issues. Corporate has also done a good job providing the frontline workers protective equipment as well as face shields to help prevent spread of droplets too. Lastly the self check out is a very handy option as it allows easier purchase and more convenience! read more

The pharmacy staff are incompetent and rude. The refill for my medication needed to be ordered. They told me to call back in two days. When I called back they told me it is ready. I drove to the rite aid but when I arrived they told me it won't be ready for another hour. I said I would come back in two hours. When I did, they still didn't have it. The person said they needed to order it. After going through several of the pharmacists, they said it shows on the computer that they should have it, but they can't physically find it. In addition to the incompetence, the staff were rude and gave me attitude because I was a little upset after the comedy of errors. Will not use this pharmacy again. read more

Update to yesterday's review. We went to the Rite Aid pharmacy last week and they did not have enough of my daughter's medication to fill the order so we only received five of thirty pills. Returned three times over the last week and still they didn't have the prescription ready. Transferred prescription to Bartell's with no issues and med ready in 20 minutes. read more

I used to love this Rite Aid, and for the most part have always recognized the regular workers there (who were AWESOME). However something has definitely changed with management or training or whatnot. Last night (around 9pm) I went in to grab some small travel things since I had been visiting the area for work. As I was browsing, I noticed that the lady at the register had started to follow me and ask me what I was looking for a bit aggressively. I just assumed it was because I came in late and they wanted me out (which I understand), so I tried my best to grab and go to the register quickly. This is where everything started to go downhill. As soon as I approached the registers, the same lady asked me if I was going to check out. I said yes, and she told me she could help me at the last register. But before I could even get there, she asks to look inside my work bag. I obviously understand what she's implying from this, but to confirm, I ask her why she needs to look at my bag. She doesn't answer my question, and just asks to see my bag again. We do this back and forth for a bit and she eventually calls someone else (seemed like maybe a manager) and continues to ask the same question. I keep asking for a reason too, and she finally says "Why do you need to hesitate? You should have no reason to hesitate." I'm visibly upset now and let her know I need a reason to show my work bag contents to a complete stranger. Then she finally tells me they "saw something on the CCTV." At this point I'm just tired and I want to to home, so I put my bag on the floor and tell her she can look. She tells me she won't touch the bag and I need to show her, so I get down and start dumping the contents of my work bag out. I guess this made them realize they had misspoken and wrongfully implied that I was shoplifting, and asked me if I came in with someone else (I did not, and from what I could tell I was alone in that store) because they "definitely saw something." With no apology, one lady says she's going to check the back bathrooms, and the other lady says she can help me at the register now. I'm not sure why they thought I would give them my business after that whole situation with NO apology, so I told them I was good and left the items on their counter before leaving. Simply put I was upset and disappointed with this whole thing. It's one thing to do your job and ask people (politely) to check and apologize if you were mistaken, and another to just demand to see their personal items with no communication or politeness and expect their business afterwards. While I always loved going to this Rite Aid growing up, I will not be shopping here anymore. read more

I've had innumerable problems with the pharmacy over the last few years. For starters, when I call in a prescription using the automated system they almost never have the prescription ready by the time they claim. I usually would wait an extra couple of hours beyond the promised time and still it wouldn't be done. So, I'd show up and have to wait around for them to fill the prescription. I complained about it every time and it NEVER gets any better. Also, they have made numerous errors filling the prescription. For example, I had a prescription for 90 days supply. I was leaving the country for 3 months and needed the entire 90 day supply. They filled it for 30 days instead. Why would you fill a prescription that calls for 90 day supply with just 30 days? At least not before asking the customer. And it goes on and on and on. We finally gave up and switched to Bartells down the street. It's about a 5 minute longer drive for us, but so far the prescriptions are ready when they say they will be ready and they have all been correct. So it's a time saver even though we have to drive longer, we don't need to sit around and wait for the prescription to be filled, or corrected. It is beyond my comprehension how a place can make so many mistakes and never improve. read more

I have always appreciated that this store is reliable. The hours are great for when you need to run to the store in the evening to get that one item that you can't do without. Checkout is usually pretty quick and easy. The pharmacy is also great. I have been going there for such a long time and find that they are always willing to answer any of my questions (their pharmacists in particular are always great to talk to when I need help) and they are always quick and efficient when getting my prescriptions filled. Whenever I have had problems with a doctors note or prescription (maybe a issue with insurance), they have always been helpful. All it usually takes is for me to bring up that I have a problem and they are willing to work with me to help sort it out. read more

I like Rite Aid. They have plenty of cheap items to buy and is a great place to purchase candy, makeup, or other drugstore needs. Surprisingly, they have some great cheap moccasins and other slippers.. only $12! The savings are the best if you have a Rite Aid Card. One time, I only spent $45 and I used my Rewards Card, I saved $11! I must say, though, their staff is mediocre. Many of them do not speak English very well, and are only slightly friendly. Anyways, it is nothing special... But it is the drugstore I shop at most! read more

DO NOT USE THE PHARMACY TO GET YOUR FLU SHOT I went in on a Sunday..checked in at 10:30AM for paperwork and literally out by 11:20AM. There was a dad and his daughter ahead of me. They make you wait like 20 minutes after paperwork and 15 minutes until you get your shot. I am amazed how slow they work there. Everyone in the waiting room was complaining and it wasn't busy at all! I yelled at the pharm tech about how much waiting we had to do. She was not pleasant at all. She was mad that I opened the "Pharmacy door" to ask them how much longer. Save yourself an hour and go to your primary MD. Even though it takes a while to see your doctor, you'll get your flu shot done in minutes. Will never return!!!! read more

Today I went to this Rite Aid to buy a birthday card. The good news is that I found a card. The bad news is that there was no employee in sight when I wanted to pay for the card, I indicated to a lady in cosmetics that I wanted to check out. Turns out she was a vendor, but she was very helpful. She walked all the way to the corner of the store where the cashier was holed up and got her to come and assist me. If a cashier is not going to be present at all times, there should be a method such as a bell for a customer to call a cashier. Rite Aid bought Bartell Drugs. I hope that Rite Aid rises to the level of Bartell, rather than dragging Bartell down to the level of Rite Aid. read more

Pharmacy department is usually slow, and I understand during times of COVID that places are short staffed. I had a 10am appointment for a booster shot, was the first one to sit and wait for a shot. The line began to get longer. As it approaches an hour of me waiting, I see the pharmacists getting the shots together, so I continue to wait. They call the first person back for the shot, which should have been me, instead it was someone who came in 3 people behind me. I waited for her to call the next name, again, not my name, so I got up and told her I had an appointment at 10am and had been waiting for an hour. The pharmacist proceeded to call the name, and then told me it was by order of who was first. I told her I was first, she again called the name, as the pharmacist cashier came around and told her I was first. The pharmacist rudely took me back and aggressively gave me my shot and shooed me out the door. Not a pleasant experience, not planning on coming back. read more

I have been going to this Rite Aid pharmacy ever since I was in high school. Even now I make the trek to Sammamish every once in a while to get my medications (and I live in Seattle!) Debbie is the nicest pharmacist I have met. Numerous times when my insurance would claim to not cover my medications, Debbie would call me first and talk me through the options I have. My 19 year old daughter went into the Sammamish Rite Aid pharmacy for a second dose of the meningitis B vaccine and the pharmacy instead gave her a dose of the Meningitis ACWY which she did not need. She had noted on her paperwork that she needed the B vaccine and even specified the particular vaccine name. I will never use this pharmacy again for anything due to this very careless and inexcusable mistake. read more

I've been going to Rite Aid in Sammamish for 28 years. Debbie the pharmacist is amazing. Always provides our prescriptions immediately with the nicest personality. She is always smiling and asks how my family is doing. She arranged my 94 year old dads prescriptions to be delivered since he's been in lockdown at his assisted living place since March due to Covid. She gives the best vaccinations and overall is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. The staff there in the pharmacy is always so nice to me as well always greeting me by my first name. We recently moved two hours away but once a week I still make the drive to this amazing RiteAid!!! read more

I went to pick up a couple of things at riteaid and went to pay. Mark rung me up, and was unpleasant at best. He barely aknowledged me and seemed generally grumpy, which is fine. I wasn't looking for a best friend, just some nail polish and a sugar free redbull. However, after I was rung up my card was declined, which was odd because I had plenty of money in my account. He audibly exhaled several times as I asked if he could hold on to my stuff while I checked my account. I mean, would it have been to much of a bother to ring it up again? Or to just say, "yeah, sure?" I stepped aside and checked my account while he rung up the next customer. There was plenty of money. I stepped back in line and was greeted by a smiling woman. I explained that my products were already behind the counter and grumpy mark interrupted me to gruffly add "you'll have to completely rescan them." All annoyed like I had horribly inconvenienced him. This nice lady rung me up, and surprise, the transaction went right through. Get a grip, mark. If every minor kink in your daily him. Interactions is going to get under your skin THAT much, perhaps you would be better suited for a career where you didn't have to deal with people it. read more

This is literally the worst drugstore/pharmacy I have ever been to. Unfortunately my insurance is only accepted here which is why I have used them. My prescription refills have never been filled when using the automated call in refill system. Never. And several times I have come in and they don't have the drug in stock, but never bothered to call to me it is not available. So I show up and wait in line to be helped by an incredibly rude cashier only to be told they do not have it. The refill system requires a phone number. Why don't they call to tell me rather than me having to drive there to figure it out. I'm writing this as I wait YET AGAIN for them to refill my prescription I called in 12 hours ago. Oh and the kidcents donation they force upon you is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I assure you I never opted in to donating my change every time I visit. I prefer to choose my own charities. This will be my last visit. I would rather pay full price without the benefit of using my insurance. read more

Worst drug store I've ever dealt with! They say your refill will be ready then you call to make sure and wallah nope! They point the finger back at you and say it's your fault we promised it would be ready! Pharmacy manager actually hung up on me (Debbie). I will be taking the whole family's account elsewhere... Six customers gone from rite aid! Actually still waiting for my refill... Will update for sure. Stay away go to another pharmacy where your health is not in the hands of someone who's not qualified to handle your medication. Finanally pick up my my refills at 6:13 pm Sunday. I was told it would be ready Friday. Ran out of medication on Friday. This is the last time I go to rite aid. After 8 yrs of getting my medication at rite aid this store made it so I can't and will not trust this chain especially this Pharmacist/ manager. I have called the area supervisor who just concerned with what they could do differently in the future which is great. What does that do for me? Nothing, no mention of helping me? Location is so convenient, but unfortunately this was the third time they have not had enough of (or any of) a prescription I needed- all were Very common prescriptions. Each time it would take days to get more in. I end up having to take it to another drugstore to be filled. Thinking this will be the last time I try, as I am frustrated of having to go to two places so often, I may as well just go the extra mile to Bartell's who have always had what I needed in stock. read more

The biggest improvement about this Rite Aid is the renovation they recently went through a few months ago. It looks a lot nicer than the plain old sterile way it looked before. Most of the time I get my prescriptions here. They are fast and I usually wait around until they call me which normally takes 15 minutes. I recently came here yesterday night and the wait was 5 minutes which was great! The odd thing I noticed is their options while paying for and picking up a prescription. Option #1 is "I have already been informed of my prescription counseling from a pharmacist" or option #2 is "I decline counseling from a pharmacist". You pay before being able to be informed about the prescription and sometimes I want to actually speak to someone about it. You have to verbally speak up to the cashier that you want to talk to a pharmacist but none of the options, which is mandatory to check, is applicable. Weird! If customer service was more on top of it then this place can probably lure in more customers. I have never seen more than one person ringing up people at the cash register to pay for goods even if there are four people waiting in line. Employees who work on the floor should ask people if they need help finding anything. It adds a little touch and with the new renovation it is hard to find everything. read more

Woke up in the morning with a sore throat, a cough I couldn't quite shake, and just the feeling of soreness all over. After almost a week of celebrating the victory of avoiding getting sick from all the others in the house, I feel ill. Naturally, there were also no cold remedies left in our house. Off to Rite Aid I go! It never seems like there is anyone who works at this store when I walk in. There are definitely people who shop here, but employees are a hard find... That is kind of weird, because the store is always in really good shape - clean and well-lit, clearly, someone must be working here. I think the fact that this location has high ceilings makes it feel so much bigger than it probably is, but this place is pretty big, and I've never had a problem finding anything that I've needed. But like I was saying about how it seems like no one works here... As I grabbed what I needed and headed to the registers, another lady was calling out to her friend (I think it was her friend, or else it was an employee who works here that this chick happens to talk to a lot.) to come check her out (Customer #1). There was another customer (Customer #2) looming around the register - I just naturally assumed that maybe she was trying to check out too, which is why I thought it was incredibly rude that no one was paying attention to her. Employee then proceeds to the check out and starts checking out Customer #1 without even acknowledging Customer #2. Customer #1 starts arguing over whether or not the items she wanted to purchase were on sale or not. Employee asks for a price check. Waits about 3 seconds and takes off to do it herself. Customer #1 follows. Employee does yell back that someone will be back to help us soon. Right... Another employee (Yes, more than one person works here!) shows up and actually attempts to help Customer #2 (finally) before helping me (again, finally). I was ecstatic to be on my way with cough syrup *finally*. Customer service is not their forte. But if you want a clean store, this is the store to go to. 2.5 stars rounding to 3 because despite the shortfall of helpful employees, at least I can find what I need with a little effort on my behalf. If I could check myself out, I'd totally give them another star. read more

Their 15 minutes promise is just a blatant lie. They take a minimum of 30 to 40 minutes to fill a prescription even if it's been called in from the doctors office hours earlier. This has happened several time this year (2016). Some of the staff don't even smile. Maybe overworked. When I called up to provide feedback, the response was - Yeah we are understaffed, deal with it. What a great experience ! Absolute disregard for others time. If they can be straight forward and promise a 30 minutes window for prescription filling, it would be more professional. They used to have better service. Of late it's been bad. Hopefully they will take some action, else will move on to a different pharmacy. Good Luck ! I love shopping at riteaid stores and have been their rewards member since 2006 across multiple states. We recently moved to new area where Pine Lake location is the closest Riteaid store. The store looked nice and clean but wait until you get to the register. The skinny American lady working there is so rude and racist. I don't think she values or cares about customer experience. I felt like never coming back to this store and spend my money to other businesses. Here are 2 incidents within a week period: Jan 26th: I wanted to exchange different diaper size for my LO my husband bought few days earlier. I have to stand in queue twice for few mins - First to tell her that I have a return/exchange. She asked me to get the ones I want instead of offering any help. I quickly got size 3 diapers and when I went back to the register I was asked to go back in the queue. There were 6 people ahead of me, so it felt awkward as she held my return transaction. I waited for my turn patiently and at the counter, she refused to do even exchange. I was upset because you wasted 20-25 mins of my time and no apology. Jan 30th: I bought 3 shampoos earlier this month. Due to frizzy hair, my hairstylist recommended different brand. Since these new items had no use to me I took them for return with the store receipt. Again at the cashier register, American skinny lady was very rude and refused to take a return again because something was messed up in their computer. She said she cannot help. For one of the item, she said you got it for free repeatedly even when I showed her items in the receipt. It felt so awkward. I would have given 1 star for poor customer experience but I will give 2 stars because another Chinese cashier came and help sorted this out and apologized for inconvenience. Unless customer service is improved, people like me will refrain from coming to this store. Please hire customer friendly staff for this location. read more

With the new remodel, the store has changed completely. They have a whole new beauty section and it doesn't even feel like a pharmacy. The pharmacists and pharmacy employees are fantastic, they are extremely fast and willing to answer any questions I had. Even when it's busy they always have time for me.
