On Sunday, 4/9/2017, I had searched two other competitive pharmacies to fill a prescription for antibiotics for my Mom (after four hours at U of M ER). The Rite Aid in Brighton checked inventory and said Rite Aid Pinckney had it in stock, and off I went. I will tell you that DONNA and SYLVIA were the absolute best. Wonderfully helpful and patient as I struggled with providing them my Mom's proper information so as not to pay over $300 out of pocket. Donna offered creative solutions to find the information, tried everything in their database, and finally, I was able to coordinate a fax between the usual pharmacy and this Rite Aid. Donna and Sylvia worked to input all necessary information ahead of check out, so I wouldn't have to wait any longer than necessary. Those two professionals treated me with kindness and respect, appreciating my dilemma. THANK YOU DONNA and SYLVIA for being you, and treating your customers so well. Today I had a dental appointment and the dentist prescribed a medication for follow up. I didn't have the address of this pharmacy and couldn't look it up. This was during the very vast cell coverage outage. Could not make call, navigation , text, anything. I showed up and it was an hour from the dentist. No prescription there. I would have called the dentist but no coverage. I asked the girl if they could call. She went to the female pharmacist and she abruptly said "no". Looked at me through the glass. That was it. Sorry! The girl said. I drove 20 min home and awaited the system to come on-line. Called and even had a voicemail from the dentist about the prescription. 15 seconds and and address and it was on the way. What has this world come to? I have used this pharmacy for 9 years. I will never set foot in there again. read more

The staff is wonderful. They are overworked yet diligent. There are signs asking patrons to be nice. The customers that I have witnessed are impatient and rude. Yet the workers are kind and get the job done. The Pharmacists give excellent advice and are compassionate. I feel blessed to have their staff at our pharmacy. read more

The pharmacy in Pinckney is closed again. I realize we had an ice storm two days ago. But roads are great now so there is no reason to be closed. We seem to frequently have to wait for scripts. We have used the phone system to order and scripts are not ready at the designated time. What are people suppose to due when they need their medications??? Staffing always seems short. read more

Wish I could give them a zero! Such rude customer service in the pharmacy. Told them I had a coupon for one of my prescriptions which were ready for pick up, she had them in her hand, was then told it would be over an hour wait and that there were customers ahead of me. Ha, they must of been invisible because I was the only one there. This is that last time I will fill prescriptions here, I will go out of my way to find another pharmacy so that I will not to be treated like my business doesn't matter. read more

The pharmacy is under-staffed with rude and incompetent workers. Nobody takes ownership or accountability for their job, they all point the finger, and the result is terrible customer service. Expect to play monkey in the middle while they have you go on a wild goose chase calling your doctor and insurance company, just so you can discover that they have everything they need and still haven't done their job and don't even have the courtesy to update you before you wait in a long line to pick up a script that isn't ready. I would give Rite Aid Pinckney 0 stars if I could. They are constantly under staffed and out of stock. More specifically the customer service is horrible and there is a huge lack of accommodations. I ran out of Motrin and my 16 month old had a 103F temp. I was by myself so I took her with me. She vomited on our way there, so I tried to use the drive thru. I told the technician the situation that I needed Motrin and that my baby had just puked. She went to ask and then told me they couldn't do it and that I had to go into the store so I took my baby's pjs off and wrapped her in a blanket that I luckily had in the car and went in and got it. I should have known better than going there. I get that businesses have certain policies to abide by but maybe some times they could make exceptions and be decent human beings. The people who work in that store aren't friendly at all. Everyone acts like they're inconvenienced when they help you (especially the pharmacist). They're the only pharmacy I've been too that takes over an hour to fill your script. The lady working check out this morning was very rude, not a people person what so ever! I'm not sure why they have her working up there dealing with customers. Wouldn't let me pay for my prescription out of pocket when I had an issue with my insurance company! The individuals that work the drive thru are some of the most rude individuals I've ever encountered. People like them should NOT be working with the public!! Sets a very bad tone for such a small community. Pharmacists are pleasant to work with. This is the worst Pharmacy I have had to go to in 40 years. I came and they said my Prescriptions weren't ready and 4 days later they tell me if I do not come during a snow storm and pick them up they were putting back on the shelf. Come to find out they had been sitting there for 12 days Guy told me they didn't have any ready for me. They missed one and I never got it that month kept calling and I didn't get it till a month and half later. They gave me someone elses papers for their prescriptions also. They are rude and don't know what they are doing. I have to go somewhere else. read more

I Waited 2 hours for a prescription and it's still not even filled, just glad I'm not sick because i would be irate at this moment. I was surprised to see all the negative reviews. My family uses this pharmacy all the time and have never had any problems with our prescriptions. We haven't used the drive through pharmacy service yet but that looks very convenient. It's wonderful to have a convenience store in our small community. We shop here often and love their frequent shopper program. If you spend $1000/ more a year here you get 20% off all the next year! The checkout staff are super friendly. read more

Extremely rude and slow. EVERY single time we go here, our scripts are NEVER ready. Not only that, but we will wait in line forever. Me and my girlfriend switched pharmacies today because we are so frustrated with it. After telling the staff our frustrations and why we were leaving, we didn't get so much as of an apology even. Instead we waited 10 minutes for them to pull our script from a file so we could go somewhere else. We will NEVER be back. Pharmacy sucks! Very slow. The pharmacist filled my scrip with a different generic without asking if that was ok...my body is very sensitive with that and I don't like to mix my generics. Then when I called to ask why they switched it the pharmacist was kind of rude and snide with his answer. I would have liked to know beforehand that they didn't have what I needed. I could have went to another location for the exact item I did need instead of getting something he thought would be just fine. Poor service. read more

ZERO ZERO stars AGAIN!!! Yesterday was my FINAL purchase at this pharmacy, rude, nasty. My prescription wasn't ready AGAIN as promised. I am hearing impaired, I carry a card to this effect. I showed the clerk my card. When I checked out, I was having trouble entering my rewards #, the clerk said "well if you had looked at me I would have told you". i replied "I am sorry I am hearing impaired and cant hear you", she stammered and backed off. I've never been treated so rudely by anyone who knows I can't hear. Hmmm...Maybe I should file an ADA complaint (there were witnesses). I notice they are shorthanded and hiring "friendly people" signs everywhere and the only 2 friendly clerks haven't been around in a while. Are the employees so miserable and rude because they work for scumbags? I'm finished giving them the benefit of the doubt. Several weeks ago I decided to move all my prescriptions elsewhere, Rite Aid employees told me they couldn't give me hard copies of my prescriptions because they were electronic, so I went to my Dr and received new ones for my new pharmacy. I came down with bronchitis & sinusitis the day before Labor Day weekend last week. My doctor called in script that Friday for antibiotics. When I got to drive thru at Rite-aid, a technician told me that the doctor said not to fill scripts till Saturday morning!!! I asked her why? She replied to me that maybe it was because they we're Closing!!! OMG!!! I was so sick I was dumbfounded!!! Couldn't think straight due to congestion!! So I went home, and got sicker during the night!! Had to call off work the next day!! Talked to my Doctor on the following Tues morning. He said he would never tell a Pharmacy to wait!!!! Especially for an acute illness!! I believe Pharmacy was being negligent in doing the job they took an Oath to do!! I lost a full days pay!! I believe if I had gotten my prescription that night!! I would have been able to work the next day!! Ironically after losing a day's pay, finding coverage for my shift at that job, and being horribly ILL!!! I had no choice but to go back to Rite-aid the next day and PAY!!! for a prescription I needed the Night before!!!! Mind you I pulled into drive-thru at 8:50pm. Doctor called Prescription in sometime between 8&8:30pm. Rite-aid Pharmacy closed at 9pm!! If you or anyone you love are seriously ill !!! Please keep this review in your thoughts and go to somewhere else to get your medicines!!! This Pharmacy is negligent in the care of their customers who are in need of medication that only a reputable Pharmacy can give!!! Nice work Rite-aid!!!! read more

The staff are all so RUDE! When I dropped off my perception I always ask how long is the wait. They give me a time and I come back at that time. However yesterday after I called to make sure my medication was ready and they tell me yes I went to pick it up. I went to the back counter gave them my name. The lady comes back to me telling me my medication wasn't ready and it would be another hour. I told her no I just called 10 minutes ago and was told it was ready. The lady worker starts telling me I was wrong that I never called. I let that go. I said to her rite aid granites the time you are told it will be ready it is. She tells me loudly no we don't we have better things to do. So I walked over to the big sign they have right by the counter and asked her to read it to me. She did and she was very quick to shut her rude mouth. Needless to say bam just like that my medication was ready. As soon as I turn around to walk out the store I hear the staff talking badly about me. Yep I stopped in my tracks and blew up!! They are all so rude and have absolutely no manners at all!! This pharmacy is a joke who at times will short you on your medication and call you the liar when you stand there and count your pills in front of them so you don't get shorted again. I am not the only one who feels this way about this rite aid. They need to train their staff how to respect everyone!! I only gave it one star because I couldn't continue until I did. This is the worse pharmacy I have ever dealt with in my 62 years on this earth. The workers are rude, nasty and incompetent. Every time I have a medicine filled they never have your insurance done correctly EVER. I have never been in a store so badly run but then again they do not have to be nice because they are the only pharmacy in town here. The last time and final time I was in this store was to pick up a antibody that was four days late. The young girl was mad at me and said it will be 20 min as i said fine and when to sit down she yells it will be a hour now. I thought I was hearing things since I was sick running a fever and the other customers looked scared. So I went to the manager who also looked scared and could do nothing because the pharmacy woman started yelling get out do not ever come back, get out of my store... making me the crazy one. You know we are just customers we do not go there to have a good time, we are sick and just need are medicine filled on time. Was the worst experience of my life. read more

I am so incredibly disappointed that this is the only pharmacy in town. I dropped off a prescription Friday evening. They told me that they would have to order it and that it would be ready Monday for pick up. I was a little disappointed that it would take so long, but was content waiting things out until Monday. I called Monday, and they told me that they still had to order it! So I went Tuesday evening to pick it up. They couldn't find it on the shelf for pick up because it had not yet been unpacked from shipment. I was told they were just printing the label and then I should be on my way...They came back and told me that the doctor who prescribed the prescription was not authorized to do so. That baffled me since he works in a specialty clinic and prescribes it all the time. So here I am on Wednesday, still without medication. My doctor's office said there shouldn't be a problem and now the nurse there is going to try and sort things out with this pharmacy. THIS PLACE IS A DISASTER! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. 1) They are rude and the customer service is non-existent 2) They make no effort to fix problems 3) this medication is for something neurological. I work in the medical industry and this is just unacceptable. I HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere. read more
