This store is convenient, and they were helpful with things like Covid tests once upon a time. And everyone who works here is friendly. But at the end of the day I'm fed up with all the chain drugstores, and wish they'd go away. Give the real estate to some independent stores who care, and who will give the neighborhood some character. Today I walked out without buying anything, because I couldn't believe just how stupid the place was. I needed a bottle of mulivitamins, and a pack of 9-volt batteries. What could be simpler, right? Every single multivitamin on the shelves was gummies. Basically enriched candy for toddlers. Maybe you have customers who demand this, but come on. How about some regular tablets for people who don't have stunted mental development? Same complaint goes to Hollywood: stop making comic book movies for grownups. But I digress. With the batteries, the price listed (which was reasonable but not remarkable) turned out to only be available if you register a phone number so they can track you. Otherwise they charge double. What astonishing arrogance. The answer is no. I walked out empty-handed, and found the batteries online for half of Right Aid's DISCOUNTED price. This review will be more for the employee than the actual store! Lol But I feel employees who give great customer service should always be recognized. I worked as a manager for several years and it always made my associates happy whenever they were recognized by a customer. I came into the store to grab two things, there was only one cashier, her name was Shanice I believe! She was calm, patient and very nice! She was getting the line down without making any of the customers feel rushed! The store was stocked, neat, and I was able to find what I needed! Great experience!! read more

The new pharmacist there is terrible since he arrived you can never get your pain med on time my husband has been waiting for 4 days now he has spinal stonouus, arthritis and pain in his neck due to a bad surgery. Store 11160 The cashier Mary decided she wasnt going to assist with a Western Union matter 10 minutes before the store closed. when she spoke My son and I in the most condesending manner. I pushed her nasty attitude back. She proceeded to tell me she doesnt have to put up with that and walked away. Great going RiteAid. I called the corperate office and their customerservice line told me to call back during business hours. They will never get any business from us ever again. RiteAid #00822 Pharmacy I've had no issues with any of the two pharmacists working at this location, nor have I ever had any issues with any of the pharmacy technicians who worked here -- until now. For those who use the 5911-5933 Ridge Ave location as their neighborhood pharmacy, you may have observed or have been told how short-staffed they are. You can expect excessively long wait times over the phone (5-20 min.), have your call get disconnected after long hold times, or maybe -- when you do finally get connected to someone from the pharmacy, you can expect to have the pharmacy technician simply just hang up on you, rather than make an effort to resolve or understand the script or Rx issue at hand. This incident occurred at 7:30pm on 2/13/23. I don't mind that RiteAid #00822 is short-staffed. In fact, I don't even mind having longer wait times on the phone to connect with the pharmacy. But, when customers are finally connected to you and/or your staff, there is never any reason to resort to hanging up on customers while they are attempting to explain their situation (especially when we, as Rite Aid customers, look to you for our Rx fill/re-fill). It's unfortunate that you resorted to hanging up on me. If you were unable to assist with my issue, I would have happily had you place me on hold to talk with the pharmacist. We all have bad days sometimes, however the matter in which you chose to handle the call was very unprofessional and is a poor reflection on the other technicians and pharmacists who work there with you, who I do respect. Short-staffed or not, never have I ever experienced this level of disrespect from anyone in your profession when seeking help (in-person/over the phone). There have been other local pharmacies who have been competing for my business, but Rite Aid #00822 has always been my preferred pharmacy since I've lived here -- until now. Thank you to both pharmacists (both named Ryan), Vera (former tech who previously worked there) and the other staff members on your team who I've met recently who have been so friendly and helpful whenever I come in to the store. But excellent customer service, friendly attitude and professionalism is important to me that it now outweighs the convenience (distance) of this location. This is a horrible store , poor management and poor customer service . Specifically , someone damaged my car in the Rite Aid lot and the Managment claims that the security camera for the lot was inoperable .In other words , my vehicle was assaulted on Rite AIDS property yet they had no security while the camera is clearly visible!! It reflects negligence and no customer care , I will never shop there again and would encourage everyone to avoid this store . read more

To me this is the best Rite Aid in Ridge Avenue. Maybe the ppl that gave it bad review must have been there mornings shift. As for me I only go night shift. The 2 Lady behind the counter are so nice and friendly. Debbie and Pam. They always greeting you and are willing to go out of there way to help you. I love being in there at that time from 11 until. My first time meeting them I just came out the hospital. I had lot of merchandise in my cart and those 2 lady not only help me with my stuff on the counter they even took it to my car. That was it I fell in love with that store at that time. I love going there taking my time enjoying the night shift atmosphere of the place. THE BEST THERE IS PAM AND DEBBIE. I love the rite aid pharmacy services on Ridge Ave in roxborough. Even when the Pharmacist is there alone, he takes care of the customers dropping off or picking up prescriptions! The older lady is so sweet, and the younger guy is so helpful. Even when my 88 year old Mom is there, they are more than willing to come from behind the pharmacy counter to show her where things are as she is losing her eyesight. The pharmacy staff is rude and the pharmacy itself doesn't have a lot in stock so they always have to order it for you, Which is annoying and such a waste of my time. Dark, dismal, depressing. The aisles are to narrow. The cart corral is positioned in such a way you can't get them out. I used to shop at Rite Aid all the time. It's not this stores fault, but their new rewards points system cost me $30 in credits which I could have used to buy stuff. Going in this store is like going to a dentist appointment. read more

I moved to the neighborhood a year and a half ago and was psyched that there was a Rite Aid so close and so conveniently located! Holy hell was I disappointed. The first thing that set me off was the prices- $8 for a bottle of Dove body wash?? Are you freaking kidding me??! I realized quickly that this store was going to be strictly last-minute-I-have-to-get-something-now type store but seriously I've gone in there to get a birthday card and left because 1) I could go to Papersource in the city for a comparable price (and a card 500,000X better) 2) the staff here hate their lives and make sure you do too and 3) the line is always out of control (one time I waited 15 minutes at 7:30am on a Tuesday..). Hey Rite Aid! You've got a store in a wonderful neighborhood completely ruining your brand! I have no intention of ever shopping at any Rite Aid because of this place (and I live two blocks away!), in fact I'm hoping that this store gets bought out by a CVS and I can walk to pick up my affordable prescriptions and get some friendly service to boot! read more

My favorite local drugstore. The pharmacy doesn't always have the prescriptions that you need, but they have pretty much everything else. The people who work there are the best, and if you earn enough points on your rewards card, then you can get 20 percent off every non drug item for the whole year. read more

Beware of Tonya. The larger older lady with the braids that works at night is very rude and if you attempt to ask her a question she gets an attitude and called me a "white girl" and when I was pregnant she told me "usually pregnant girls have that pretty glow to them, you don't have that at all" she is constantly throwing jabs at me and trying to start any type of confrontation. She has told me that I am "impossible" before because I ask questions to help me find things or general questions. She has completely ignored me on multiple occasions and I constantly see her on her personal cell phone when I come up to the register and I have to wait for her to finish on her phone to tend to me. I love rite ade have been going there for years but I suggest a new employee or two. Because she is very rude to a lot of people I'm just telling my story. Hope you take care of that situation. I had to ask the people in the pharmacy if my son could use the restroom. Instead of finishing with the person in front of me. The rude female behind the pharmacy who is the one that could let us in the restroom, according to her male colleague continued to help another person. Therefore my son peed his pants on the way out of the store. Highly pissed and will never step foot in that store again!!!! read more
