I'll be honest: I am sometimes hesitant to write reviews about places I frequent because sooner or later the more I frequent, something will go wrong. However, I am very satisfied with this Rite Aid after switching from CVS in another county. At this Rite Aid, the pharmacy answers their phones and seems interested in helping. Convenient location and well kept store. It's super annoying that they won't match their online prices though. Plus, when you do pick up your order doesn't go through right away so you have to wait even if you pick it yourself. Rite-Aid needs to get with the times. read more

I had to switch to Rite Aid because of the convenience as those who live by Phelan know there's two pharmacies nearby so I put my trust and business with rite aid now when I tell you these people don't care about your health I mean they do NOT care about you as a patient or as a consumer. I am currently pregnant and my doctor prescribed nausea medication since I can't keep anything down on 02/06/2023 since rite aid didn't have it in stock they had to order it no big deal I was told to wait the next day. After calling every two days and being told it'll come in the following day after 5pm they still have not received my medication. I called today 02/14/2023 to be informed they CANNOT dispense my medication and needs to be changed to a different route by my doctor. They waited one week to tell me this and it's ridiculous. Worst pharmacy I've used to this date and they need to hire more staff because the wait time to pick up medication or to get someone on the phone is also ridiculous. read more

For the third time I just came in the middle of the day to find the store is "closed for maintenance". They said it was a 2-4 hour wait. I need to tell you about the ladies of Rite Aid. I had a problem with an Item that I purchased and these ladies went above and beyond to help me. Pam was the First Lady I spoke with on the phone I explained my error. While I was on the phone with the manufacturer the store lead got a hold of the manager on her day off and called me back immediately and said they would do a one time exception and helped me fix MY error. This Rite Aid is very conveniently located and has a small town feel to it. Everyone in the store and in the pharmacy works very well together. I believe it's a brand now building too, so everything is clearly new. I've been going to Rite Aid Phelan for all my prescriptions and shopping for years. The manager, Lauren, treats all her customers with respect and tries very hard to make sure everyone has the perfect shopping experience. In the pharmacy, all the girls are amazing! They always go over and beyond to take care of me by calling my doctor for more refills or getting my prescriptions ready on the spot. Jeremy and John always help me with my meds and questions. On Wednesday, February 27, my glasses broke and I was in a panic as I really cannot see without them. I made my way to Rite Aid and asked Lauren if the store carried super glue, she told me that they carried several types and asked me what i needed it for. When i explained she walked me to the right place. I was so thankful because i never would have found it on my own. She was super helpful, going above and beyond. I was so grateful, i had been on my way out the door when i stopped to clean my glasses and the frames broke and one of the lenses fell out. I was able to fix my glasses and continue on my way. The cashiers always take forever at this place. Even if you just have one item plan on spending a good 20-30 minutes inside the store. Although they are always friendly there is no sense of urgency or concern for the customers day. It has happened to me several times at this location.... read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! By far the worse! NO ONE THERE SEEMS TO CARE ABOUT PATIENT HEALTH OR CONFIDENTIALITY!!! I left a RX was told my medication was bit available and that they would order it. The next day i called to find out the status and the woman that answered said she knew nothing about it, and that she couldn't help me because she wasn't the one assigned to my prescriptions. When i asked her what was going on, or what needed to be done to expedite my medication.. She said she didn't know because she wasn't the one responsible for it, and told me to have a good day and hung up. 2 days later i go pick it up, and was told they did not have it because it was never ordered!!!!! Then i was told my insurance needed an authorization from the "doctor"... Really?? And you didn't bother to call and say something!?!?!?!? I told them i wanted my prescription back as i was going to go elsewhere. A lady comes back to tell me they cannot find it, it has been lost!!! Wow!!!! Takes them about an hour to find it. Please don't trust this people with your health. It's a joke to them!! read more

Best store in Phelan, but not hard to do in phelan...but my one complaint is the thrifty's inside has super cheep spoons and the bend when you try to eat the ice cream (witch is good) so if they could fix that, it would be nice read more

I am giving this store 1 star because the pharmacy manager, Shelly, is horrible to deal with. She is rude, condescending and unfriendly toward the customers, especially the ones who have to be on hydrocodone. I am recovering from post-cancer treatment pain and when I tried to fill my prescription she gave me a hard time about it and did her best to humiliate me in front of other customers. That being said, every other person who works in the pharmacy is friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, every decision pretty much rests with Shelly. Even when you have a valid, legal prescription for a medication, she will make it extremely difficult to fill it. I recommend the store, but not Rite Aid. I recommend driving to Hesperia to a different pharmacy, or perhaps Walde's. The store itself is fine though. Outdated, but fine. read more

Sometimes there's a little wait at the cashier, but most of the time I'm in and out in no time. Store is clean, well-stocked, not too crowded, and the employees are almost always friendly and helpful. They often have very good specials and clearance prices. read more
