Now I've been coming to this store since I was a kid, and I've slowly watched this store become a complete sh*t show. 1. And most importantly the line to check out is basically out the door. Even for ice cream, depending on the amount of people on the floor, you have to wait in the line out the door. Also all the people that work here are always hella miserable. 2. Today while purchasing a gift card I was told I needed cash, because they couldn't take debit or credit for gift card purchases. I am an avid shopper at Rite Aid. They have always had never ending supplies of whatever the heck it is I'm out of at that time! Located right in a medium sized shopping center right off the 105 Freeway exit on Long Beach Blvd, this Rite Aid is the one I frequent the most. I say this mostly because I'm always getting something here before work, which is walking distance from here. Looks just like any other Rite Aid. They have a pharmacy and their ice cream is just amazing. Hey, at some point, we have all tried their famous ice cream. Black cherry was, and still will always be my favorite. I can't say much more about this location locations except that well, I've always found what I have needed here! That's why I'll continue coming back here!!! read more

I came here for the Thrifty Ice Cream. I then decided to get women deodorant too. This place is weird. Maybe I was tired but I could not find the women deodorant aisle. As soon as you enter, there is a nail polish stand. Behind it, is a stand targeted for men. Men shaving gel, men soaps, men deodorants, etc. Then there is a tall young hispanic guy who was stalking me. This place is sketchy. I don't feel safe. I was glancing at the shampoo aisle to see if they carry my brand; I felt that someone was staring at me. I looked to my left and this guy wearing a dark sweater tried to look away. Anyways, i was walking around the store to find management for help. I didn't find anyone. Anyways, be careful when shopping here. By the way, I ordered a scoop of coconut-pineapple ice cream. Incompetent service. I called the pharmacy only to be placed on hold for over ten minutes. I hung up and called again and the girl who answered said to be please hold. Again I was on hold for over ten minutes. Wth! People need need their medication and these inept employees don't care to take your calls. Never again! read more

customer service is great. i have a bad back and they always help me with heavy items. pharmacy is great, sometimes have to wait a few days to get a prescription that's not in stock. occasional long wait time in line because they have to also service ice cream. there ice cream is my favorite; rare to finds stores that still serve by the scoop as they do. read more

my review is based on my experience for the pharmacy department. my daughter needed her whooping cough shot. when i got there i ask to run her medical card first or else i gotta pay $71.00 so i show her the medical card i had in hand and told her my daughter plan. first she look at the medical card and say no,(she just looked at it not even grab it) second i told her the plan she said do not accept gotta pay cash!!!! didn't even run it through her system this is disappointing the way she just looked at the type of medical i had. by the way the lady attending me asian/chinese!!! so i left to cvs and didn't went through this. AT CVS THEY GAVE HER THE SHOT AND I DIDNT PAY A DIME WHY??? BECAUSE THEY RUN HER MEDICAL AND IT COVER IT. it was fast and easy. the weird thing about rite aid is that even in my hometown in duarte ca another chinese guy at the pharmacy did the exact thing when i wanted to purchase some claritin(for that type they need ur california i.d to swipe or input it in their computer) he told me he couldn't help me cause their system was down. I even ask him nicely is the system gonna be down all day can i come back later he just reply he didnt know anything about the system shutting down. and he couldn't sell me what i wanted to come back another day. and there was people there and he was helping them i wasn't the only one!!!!!!!! so i left went to a different pharmacy (walgreens was close) and the lady didn't had no problems she swipe my i.d and took my medicine i wanted and pay upfront. My ADVISE IF YOU GO TO THIS LOCATION AND THEY SAY THEY DON'T ACCEPT YOUR HEALTH INSURANCE DON'T BELIEVE THEM MAKE THEM RUN IT THROUGH THEIR SYSTEM!!! so now you( rite aid) what's the problem??? this is called discrimination!!!! will be filling a complaint. my first time it happen i let it go but the second time...nooooo read more
