I've passed this location many times but never really needed anything until recently. Upon entering, store is very clean and well lit. I noticed that the shelves were pretty bare and I found 3 qty left of what I was looking for (just needed 1). Upon checking out, there was one other customer ahead of me and the cashier was informing her that they only receive shipments monthly post bankruptcy. The cashier was very friendly. This is my third visit in a month to purchase quarts of ice cream from the hand packed ice cream and the store does not have lids! My ice cream is packed and placed in a plastic store bag to take home. My husband contacted the store manager, Roman, who indicated that the lids are ordered but they have not been receiving them. When my husband asked Roman, for Corporate's number he indicated he wasn't sure where the corporate office was and could not find the number for the corporate office. read more

The Pharmacy is a joke!! My Doc sent a prescription over on Tues. I went to pick it up on Fri (took last pill the night before) and was told they were out of the medication and had been for weeks. I usually have pleasant experience at this location but I went in around noon to pick up my priscription today and it was expensive. I didn't know anything about GoodRX - the pharmacy staff did not mention that there is a cheaper alternative. (I'm not sure if they are not supposed to do that) but it would have saved me multiple trips to the pharmacy. I paid by Debit and went home, found out about GoodRX and went back to ask for a refund the same day after 3 hours, there was a little bit hesitation for the refund because medication can not be returned and refunded. They also have a policy to refund in cash for items paid by Debit card. Waited a while till they find the cash to give me. The pharmacist showed visible frustration by this whole scenario. I understand that companies have policies but a little information at the beginnig might have saved a lot of time for both me and the staff. read more

They closed a bunch of locations around the OC area. This is now the closest one to me. The location here is quite shady and the intersection is quite busy. However, the Rite Aid is well lit, clean and fully stocked with all that you need. The only issue with Rite Aid in general are the numbers of employees they have. There is always a line or a wait to get helped. Sigh. read more

I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. I've been going to this pharmacy for the past 4 years and they've been alright - they are a bit slow and bad at faxing stuff but I had no real complaints. Today I experienced something different entirely. The Pharmasist "Naomi" was terrible to me. She questioned me about why I was taking medication that I am proscribed and have been taking for years. She can see that I have been taking it she has been there in the past when I filled it and today she decided that she wasn't going to fill my prescription. She decided this after the doctors office is closed and there's nothing I can do. Naomi was completely rude to me and I can not fathom what could have caused this. I will find somewhere else to fill my prescriptions. I have never dealt with a pharmacist that was as terrible to me as Naiomi was today. Updating my review to say it got even worse. My doctor told me to just go pick up my paper prescription and take it somewhere else and when I got there, I kindly asked for my paper prescription back. The pharmasist went to go find my prescription and came back with it and then stopped and took a big fat pen and wrote across the entire thing saying my doctor canceled it. MY DOCTOR DID NOT CANCEL IT. I told him my doctor did not cancel it and the pharmacist responded "I talked to him on the phone and he did" MY DOCTOR IS A FEMALE and has only females working in her office. So I am updating my review to say that the pharmasist lied straight to my face. I called my doctor to confirm she didn't cancel it and she didn't. I now have to go back to my doctor to pick up a new copy. This is insane read more

This location has failed every time everyone in that Pharmacy needs to be FIRED! I am so sick of them never working on the perscriptions, they just let them sit. This is the closes location so I am kind shit out of luck. This happens every single time I am given a new or short amount of a med, I use mail order to avoid this place. Today early in the AM we requested a refill heart medication a new med. They said pick up at 6 pm, here it was after 7 no ph call? Since I know how lam the Pharmacy staff is I knew to call for a status. Oh well, I should of placed a bet on it....of cousre it was not ready, I told Kim you said it would there by 6 pm now we are close to 8 pm.....I said I am on my way and hung up! Walked in and the pills were right there, it should never come down to having to be rude but that seems the only way to get things done at this location, if you have a choice avoid this store like fire. Wow talk about helpful! My wife and I had an open house down the street today and we forgot the flags that we put on the curb to help with the open house image. I ran down to rite aid to see if they had any balloons. As luck would have it, they had one more bag of 30+cm balloons, all colors and 2x the exact colors that I needed (red,white,blue)... perfect. What was most impressive were the employees. I asked if they had helium and could possibly fill up 6 balloons and put a string on them and they responded 'of course'! I have been going to this rite aid for 10 years. Have never had an issue. The individuals helping at the register and processing my orders have all been great. Today Ethel the pharmacist was completely rude. Told me I would have to wait a week for a prescription to be ordered that was called in yesterday but not being ordered until tomorrow. Then she suggested I call around to the different pharmacies to see if a different rite aid would be able to fill it. When I called her back and pressed her to do something today she left me on hold for 30 minutes. I'm sad to say this may be my last trip to that rite aid. read more

I frequent this location since it's so convenient, as my son attends Karate in the same shopping center however I am very displeased to discover, they do not sell black hair care products (i.e. Shampoos, relaxers, grease, edge wax, oils etc.). I walked up and down, every aisle thinking, I must've missed it, as many times stores have the "black hair care items," in a separate location from the other shampoos and haircare products but to no avail. - Nada, Nothing, so I consulted with a store associate whom confirmed, "we do not sell those items at this location." Seriously?! This chain of stores should accommodate everyone. It feels as though, they assume African Americans do not live in the area, so why sell those items. --- Very upsetting. read more

Well pretty much my only reason for shopping Rite-Aid is the endless and glorious rows of make-up!!! (I can hear the Angels singing in the background...ahhhhhhhh!) Among having a serious addiction to hamburgers, coffee, flaming hot Cheetos (they are my crack!), I have had a terminal and chronic obsession with make-up since I was a wee little gal.....the doctors say there is no cure. Thus Rite-Aid is my friend in time of need, and she never lets me down! They have their make-up selection nicely displayed and always very well manicured. The new collections are also nicely display at the entrance of the store and always seem to have a plentiful supply which is good as I've been known to drive around town from one Rite-Aid to another to get my fix of that special shade of lipstick when it's out of stock....drive me insane! As for the rest of the store, heck I've not idea what it looks like. Ya not happy I bought cough medicine in the morning it didn't work at all so I tried to return it and because I was in a hurry I threw away the receipt and because I tried to return it without one I got half the price back of my item are you serious because i forgot my receipt you give me half my money back that's ridiculous. The pharmacists here are so knowledgeable and friendly. I was picking up a prescription for cold medication and asked about a possible interaction with another cold medication I was taking. Not only did they provide a thorough answer, but they gave me some tips for the other medication that they didn't even fill. Also Thrifty ice cream, can't complain about that! read more

Rite Aid ice cream is my absolute fave and my experience is generally good. There's not an ice cream person that always stands there, so usually the person at the cash register comes over (if they're not busy) to help the people with ice cream. But when I previously went, the person at the cash register, Tonya, didn't come over. I made eye contact with her like twice and she still didn't come over. So my boyfriend went up to her and asked her for help and she said she had to call someone for that. And the guy in front of us (also waiting for ice cream) said that he had already asked for help and had been waiting there for a while. We got our ice cream and the lady who gave it also said we could have our items checked out there so that was nice. We wanted a plastic bag so we had to go to the front and when we asked Tonya for one, she respectfully said we'd have to pay for one (which is understandable because it is in LB). But yeah, she seems like a nice person, but only if you go up to her. Like she doesn't go to you and offer help; she doesn't really go above and beyond in terms of customer service, so that's the three stars. read more

Wonderful service and Thrifty's Ice Cream at Rite Aid. They always are attentive and give large scoops of ice cream for $2! On top of that, they always have great member discounts on candy, and snacks which is a big benefit. I came to the pharmacy here after taking my son to urgent care across the street. They did not have one of the items from my perscription but I thought it was very kind of them to call other Rite Aids and Ralphs for me to see if they could order it. Great customer service. They were fast in inputting my information. We normally go closer to home, but I knew I wasn't going to make it before close. I had even declined consultation but they still gave me a brief one anyways. I was in and out in about 20 mins. read more

I dont know if its the store in general or just a crooked clerk but my debit card was used here with out my authorization......becaue I live in the fresno area. A phone call to the store was placed and soeone who identified themself as the manager assured me that all credit card tranactions were occompanied by an ID check.....so i asked if they checked id from the transactions i supposedly made....i was then told if i wanted any cooperation by them it would have to be a court order.....stay away from this shithole and protect your money read more

I always use this location for all of my perscription, toiletries and over the counter medications since I work right across the street from it. The service is always friendly and someone is always available to answer any questions or point you in the right direction. BEWARE!! I just had a medication re-filled at this Rite Aid location, and they GAVE ME THE WRONG MEDICATION!! When I got home with the medication yesterday and opened the bottle, I thought, "This medication looks completely different from what I've been taking." I googled images of the medication and the the new meds in the bottle did not match my medication at all (sometimes different drug companies' meds look different). But this was 5 times the size and a different color. I just took the meds back to the Rite Aid on Spring and they said it was THE WRONG MEDICATION!! I can't believe a drug store could make this kind of mistake. I felt like I was in a scene from "It's a Wonderful Life" when Mr. Gower gets drunk and makes a BIG mistake with the medication and almost kills someone. If I had not taken this medication before, I would not even have known it was the wrong medication! I will be taking all of my prescriptions to a different drug store from now on. Anybody got a good reference? A drug store that doesn't make this kind of HUGE mistake? read more

I'm 60 years young and usually have bought items near the Rite-aid in Los Altos shopping center. Yet the other day I was going to my one of a kind chiropractor Dr, Steve (chiroman) and as I was leaving I decided to go into the Rite-aid on Spring Street and Palo Verde. I have always said that if a company doesn't give good customer service then they have nothing at all. The clerk named Djuan had asked how was my day and that he hoped I have a terrific weekend. I left with a smile and the receipt in my hand. This was last Sunday. On Monday I went looking for my new make-up and searched high and low to no avail. Tuesday morning I called Rite-aid and asked to speak to the manager. I told him I had gone in and bought almost $40 worth of makeup & I believed that I had left the products on the counter and walked out with the receipt in my hand. He said one moment please and put me on hold He came back and said he had spoked to Djuan & he remembered me. The manager said come on in, pick out your products for we want to make our customers happy! Who does that nowadays? Pure sweet customer service. I told the manager that I was going to write up a review on yelp and he said do that and I will give you an ice cream cone. I replied thanks but I am diabetic and he said we have sugar free ice cream!! I didn't take the offer but thought it was cool that he had offered this. Rite-aid is lucky to have Djuan on their team and had taken a frustrasted consumer and turned around to give top customer service. Thanks to the manager who had taken a frustrated customer and made it right for her. You now have a "forever" new customer who will tell 50 people about their terrific service.
