Rite Aid is my store of convenience. I live very close by so if I need something real quick like cat food or feminine hygiene items, this is the place to go. I haven't had horrible experiences. I have bought a sweater for my 90 year old Aunt. My husband and I took it to her on Christmas day all the way to the nursing home in Visalia and gifted it to her, but they left the alarm tag on. I was in a hurry and bought it on Christmas Eve and did not know I put the receipt. I did reach out and they refunded me for the lowest price it was. They usually have really good holiday sales. It's not my favorite store, but I like their value items in the back and have gotten used to their layout. read more

I grew up going to this rite aid and still went out of my way across town to use their pharmacy for my son and I now that I'm a mom. At first it was fine but lately trying to reach them has been terrible. I've called a few times and someone would answer then hang up so I would have to call again. A few months ago my baby (1yo) had an inhaler prescribed and I wasn't given a spacer mask for it, assuming I would receive one given his age. I asked for one upon pickup and they had to order one and it wouldn't be ready for a few days so I struggled giving my baby the inhaler. The other day I had another inhaler prescribed and I checked the pharmacy section in the app, it said I would be receiving a large spacer mask this time. Not sure why I would get a large mask for a 1 year old after I've had to order a small one last time so I called them before picking up the order (Friday) and they said they would have to order it and it would be available on Monday. Today is Monday and they said they didn't have the order so now I'm struggling again because the last spacer was cracked. I figured they would see a DOB and realize the a spacer is likely needed, most importantly a small one. I'm considering switching pharmacies because I desperately needed the spacer to give my sick baby the inhaler and the service has been overwhelmingly awful. read more

Pharmacy is horrible. The woman that answered the phone was extremely rude and wouldn't let me request an expedited prescription. Here's the thing. I really don't like to rat people out who work in the customer service field. There was one check stand open, which I have found is the norm for any Rite Aid. But aside from that, the checker and the one other visible employee were arguing in front of the long line of customers (me being at the end of the long line). Something about James wants people to open registers. Wow! Wouldn't that be great?! Then when it's my turn, I buy 15 packs of candy. Buy two at $2.19 and get one free. My calculator figures that out to $11.90. I was charged $13.98. I pointed it out and was told well you got 4 free. Whatever. Great customer service and very helpful.The whole staff at this location are very friendly and hard working.I have seen many rude customers who act as if they are royalty and deserve to not spend any time in a line and then berate a hard working employee.This location has vagrants whom know they can walk in and steal items under a certain amount and proceed to cuss the workers and customers out as they walk out.Thanks to California legislators.Not one finger can be laid upon these thieves because they then will turn around and sue for assault. Zero stars. They have the absolute worst people working here. They could give a shit about any of their customers. Im not even mad. Im Just being honest here. If you don't want to do the work then hang up your smock and let someone else do it that knows what they are doing. My God people. Wake up. Most of the employees are new including the pharmacist. Its a constant rotation of new faces. No one wants to work here in this pharmacy. The store clerks have no issue, its the pharmacy techs and the teen age pharmacist that outright refused to help me today at the pharmacy walk up window. Ive been coming here for about 8 years and over 30 years total. Rite Aid in general is failing this past year in particular. Failing to get medications in A TIMELY MANNER. Very important medications. 2 weeks with no refills! Failing to greet customers when they walk up. Failing to call doctors like they say they will. Failing to speak clearly enough for people to hear you. Failing to smile. Failing to ask if we need help with anything. Failing to fill a prescription when they say they will. Thats right. Telling me its filled and then when I show up it is not filled. Failing to call whoever you said you were gonna call. Failing to be persistent in your duties in general and showing a general lack of hustle. Over and over again. These people need to close up shop and find a different job. I have personally fired people for being lazy just like these people are. I have been doing business with Rite Aid over 30 years. I have lived in different states and used Rite Aid there as well. This was my last trip to any Rite Aid. Period. Stop hiding behind excuses and do your job like an adult. If you want an endless list of new reasons why they have not, cannot, or will not, fill your medications, then feel free to stop by Rite Aid and find out for yourself. P.S. Back when I was taking oxycodone a couple years ago, this location gave me a GIANT manufacturers bottle full of straight Oxycodone. Im talking about the big one that comes sealed from the factory that makes opioids. The same giant bottle that they separate into everyones prescriptions. I received the entire thing. My prescription was right on the front of it. Some idiot thought that I took an entire bottle every month. When I got home and saw that big bottle in my bag, I went back to Rite Aid and showed them the huge, possibly deadly, mistake they made with my prescription. And ya know what the pharmacist said? KEEP IT. I kid you not. I ended up giving that giant sealed bottle of Oxycodone to a used prescription drop box. You better be real sure what they give you is what you ordered. I wish there was a better store nearer to me. The big box super discount store isn't too much further but I avoid spending any money there so I come here. Customer service makes up for it. To a fault. Cashiers are very patient and will help in the spot with any question or request which can make the line go slow and get long. Prices are not great but I don't feel ripped off. Selection is mostly ok. I wish they had more textured/black hair products; it's annoying not to find basic lotions, creams and oils, especially considering the population residing near this store. I also like getting points on purchases; every once in a while I get money off my total And don't forget, they still carry Thrifty ice cream, that fact warrants a star by itself. read more

The only rude people I see here are customers. I'm in here all the time because it's a block away. Never have had a bad experience with the staff, in fact they've always been helpful. People take the ice cream WAY TOO SERIOUSLY, Jesus! . Based on the looks of it, ice cream is the last thing these people need. Just buy the gallon and some ice cream cones and be on your merry lil way. I'm usually in and out because they always have what I need and fully stocked even tho I pay more for it than I would at big box stores; you pay for the convenience and don't expect them to roll out a red carpet for me when I walk in. 9/10 times some customer is having a meltdown at the cash register over something trivial and holding up the line or I walk in as a homeless guy is running out after stealing something. There are like 5 workers at the blackstone and olive Location who are friendly and actually have a conversation with you. The rest of them piss me off. It's almost like they think they're better then you for some reason. There is one dude in particular, older, drives a BMW and will always question me on my ID. I'm 27 years old and I not mad that he asks for it because well that's the only bit of authority he gets to have during his miserable life here on earth so I'm not mad but the fact that he goes "this is your ID, this doesn't look like you" almost every time or before I even get to the line "I need to see your ID". Rebecca the cashier refused to help us for the ice cream parlor and James the manager hid in the back and pretended not to have customers. We waited at the parlor being ignored so when I waited in the regular customer line till I got to the front... we were still told that we had to wait for everyone else to be helped before we can get ice cream...not sure why it was such a big deal but needless to say I loaded back up my kids and left empty handed because they refused to tend their parlor. read more

I was really excited to see that I could get Covid-19 testing done so close to my home. It is required by the nursing facility where I work. I made my appointment and followed the instructions given. The instruction said be 15 minutes early. I arrived at 4:00pm for my 4:15 appointment. I waited in the drive through for 1 hour and 20minutes in 107 degree weather for my turn. When I pulled up to the window, the tech. told me they stop testing at 5pm and that I would need to reschedule. So why did they schedule so many people at one time if it takes so long to test. Also, as a courtesy to their customer, someone from the store should have come and let all the people know that testing ended at 5pm. Instead they did not inform the cars ahead of me, nor the 5 cars behind me that testing had ended for the day. Rite Aide, your scheduling sucks and shame on you for making your customers sit in their cars in the high temperatures, knowing they were not going to get service. read more

I wish this wasn't so close to my house- I end up coming here at least once a week and I hate it. The line is always horrendously long- at least 7-10 people and they never have more than 2 check out lines open. Plus there are always people waiting for ice cream, so one of the cashiers has to leave to go serve ice cream. It's been this way for years, I'm not sure why nothing has ever changed. This rite aid isn't impressive or anything. I've had good experiences and bad experiences here. Last one we came to get ice cream cones and they didn't have chocolate malted krunch. Isn't that their most popular ice cream? We love when he cartons are on sale. They have the basic things. Sometimes you can find some fun stuff in their dollar section but this place is really just an emergency stop for us, if we have forgotten something at target. It's close to us so it's easy to run there. It seems like they only ever have 2 people working all the time. You can either have help finding something then wait in like for 20 minutes or have zero help around the store and only wait in line for 10 minutes. Same as always, at the rite aid pharmacy I had walked up and asked for a refill on both of my medications. They told me to come back in and hour and a half. I did so and they "forgot" my second medication and told me to wait 10min for it. I'm sitting here waiting and it's been over 30min and nothing. I just waited in the drive thru lane for ten minutes waiting to get my prescription because the lady in front of me took that long to get her prescription. I was told that they were closed and the girl just walked away before I could say anything. Worst customer service. What makes me mad is that all three employees even the pharmacist seen me waiting to get my prescription. This location is well displayed inside. The company had definitely put their money to good use however the staff does not know a customer service and there are many homeless around. The wait for pharmacy pick up is 3 hours through drive through or 45 minutes in store. I just feel that the staff yelling over one another is unprofessional. The locks on bathroom doors also make this store an uncomfortable experience. I wouldn't be here otherwise but I'm picking up for family. read more

on july 1st my friend and I were shopping at this store, by the pharmacy in the back..when we could hear some kind of disturbance going on at the front door to include yelling and some popping noises..at this point my friend began looking for an exit or bathroom as we had no idea what was going on..bathroom doors and door to outside were all LOCKED..we asked pharmacy to open the door and they said they would have to call the manager to get a key!! we then noticed no one was on the phone..so we called 911 ourselves and continued to look for another exit or something..then we went through double doors to a stock room and found 2 staff watching 3 men fighting (on security camera) , reaching in their pockets, throwing stuff, all blocking the only entrance/exit to the store..there was no going out that door..I asked the staff if there wasn't some other way out..the girl said yeah but if you go through that door an alarm will go off..that is exactly what I wanted to happen!! We ran out that door, flagged down a cop, and went back to work in the relative safety of working with deranged homeless...I am absolutely mortified that in todays day all exits were locked, there was obviously no incident preparedness plan, or it was definitely not utilized..and we as customers had to find our own way out of a store we were unfamiliar with, had to call 911 ourselves, and had to go through this experience with no direction...unacceptable to say the least and I do think even the fire marshall would take issue with the lack of exits...I will never shop at this Rite Aid..or any Rite Aid again..if the policy is too keep all doors locked and in the event of crisis..let customers fend for themselves..and head quarters please do not respond with the same generic response I've seen you give the last reviewers..save your fingers..I emailed you through corporate immediately following the event with no response..thanks for nothing..kathy read more
