The best place to get ice cream in the Cove! A lot of flavor choices. Some of the flavors change with the season (pumpkin pie in the fall, peppermint during the holidays, etc). I recommend the black raspberry!

Best ice cram ever. Teaberry is a local treat you can't really find any where else. My husband and I make this a stop every time we visit the area.

Something for everyone! Even the fur babies

Always dependable. Love their egg nog and ice cream. Peanut butter was my favorite but they don't have it anymore.

We go multiple times whenever we are in the area. Number one choice is chocolate butter fudge.

My extended family were in Hollidaysburg for the afternoon for a family event, and after the event…read morewe decided to experience one of Hollidaysburg's older pastimes... frozen custard! Now, I am not from the area, so it was all a new experience to me, but this being the original and seeing pictures posted on the walls from when my father and his siblings were experiencing this area as teenagers definitely brought on some good feelings. Reading about the history of the place, I found some interesting things that I am going to be relating to some other relatives. My experience there was excellent. We all got some form of custard for the afternoon, and it all went down quite well. The staff handled us all coming in like a herd of buffalos with ease, and we all came out of there happy as clams. I will definitely be returning the next time I am in the area (doesn't happen very often, living in Florida and all). As for those relatives? Well, I am going to be recommending a visit to my cousin in Australia... turns out there is one overseas location in Canberra, Australia, where she happens to live, so that will be a fun "sharing" experience between us!

THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE THOSE ANYMORE! Ever since they took them out, I haven't and WILL NOT EVER return to the meadows All that's there, older people and younger kids who believe it's the best ice cream because it's the busiest and people who know the family personally... MAYBE they'd have more customers if their prices weren't THROUGH THE ROOF and if they DIDN'T TAKE OUT THE BATTING CAGES!

This is one of those iconic places that sits along a road that has longed since been bypassed by…read morethe newer highway up the road. But that does not stop it from existing. You can come here at any time during their hours throughout the warmer months (closed for winter time months), and it will be a hard feat to accomplish with the amount of people waiting just like you are. This place has been hear for years and years. I can remember coming here while I was still in elementary school. Not much has changed since then, which to me is a great thing. The building is still that funky shaped one that you can recognize from up the road, or that building people use in their directions (I love Southwestern Pennsylvania for that reason alone). The only seating available here is outdoor seating or standing room only, but when you pull up for some ice cream, you usually don't care if you have a seat or not. Attached to this place is putt-putt course (miniature golf for the rest of you). It's old, it's rugged, it's AWESOME! It does look run down, but no one here cares, what they care about is getting that hole-in-one on the eighteenth hole so they win that free game, a great reason to come back. The food here is a great mix of roadside ice cream parlor meets carhop. Everything you can think of is here, from burgers to milkshakes. As for me, I gave them such a run for their money here. Forgetting my allergies for a brief moment here, I had them running around to find out what their food items were made out of (sad note people, if you have allergies, some of the items may not be for you). But in the end, they were able to accommodate me and my needs. As I munched away on my food while sitting in the sunlight I thought to myself, "Man, I really want to play some putt-putt." But that will have to wait for another day. *CASH ONLY

Went here after a google search for Ice Cream because our "Go to" was closed for the season. This…read moreis a cute little gem hidden away. Great ice cream, lots of people were in line when we pulled up and continued to pull up after we ordered. there also is a drive-up window also. Very big selection to choose from. My only suggestion would be is to hire more people (1 for the window), (1 or 2 to take orders) ( 2 prepare orders) (2 to serve orders) and when the customer's order their food/ice cream provide the food in that order. I waited in what seemed like forever for what I ordered a "blondie". I was told it was vanilla ice cream on top of a brownie with carmel sauce, with whipped cream and walnuts. All was correct except I had fudge topping on mine. Not sure where the disconnect was. I ordered it specifically for the carmel sauce. I also had to ask where my ice cream was because about 8 people were served before me who had arrived AFTER me. My bf had his sundae already finished while I was waiting still in the line along with tons of other people. You guys have something good here, obviously you get a crowd of people and serve great ice cream with a large selection, I'd hate to see it go down the tubes because of the lack of employees/knowledge of what the sundaes entail and the wait time... We will give this another shot and just chalk this down to possibly a bad day...
