I received services under false pretenses they knew I believed. (all they had to do was check my file and realize this). Common courtesy is obviously not part of their business ethics. She took a look at the X-rays the other office sent over, said that I was fine and what they were proposing was both odd and not supported by the facts. She saved me over 5k in needless work. I have seen her for emergencies, cleanings and everything in between. She is expert in tmj issues and sensitive to the needs of patients with related problems. I had what I thought was a tmj issue that she examined, she determined it to be a different problem and refered me to follow up with a physician, correctly analyzing something that had been mis-diagnosed previously. Dr. Diachenko is not just a great dentist and a highly knowledgable professional she is also a pleasure to talk to and is a wonderful person. I Can't recommend her enough.

Located in the professional services building in Old Orchard, ahem, Westfield Old Orchard. If the work he is going to do will even be moderately painful, he will let you know and offer to give you relief in whatever way - anesthesia, won't just "drill and drill and drill", etc. Cleanings/polishings may be a bit on the rough side, but you won't regret it and will remove more plaque and debris than any other dentist I ever known. This is his own practice and does well, but it is a small shop so scheduling is essential (duh). Emergencies for the last minute issues? I think he may be able to see you on the same day or next; however anything of a real emergency should just go to the ER (duh again). Recommended!

Exactly what I needed…read more I recently moved to north Chicagoland, and suddenly one of my bottom wisdom teeth started aching. I hurriedly bought a dental plan (insurance takes six months to kick in, really) and saw which dentists took it, and Dr. Lee Chuljoo was one of them. I called him Monday at about 10am saying it was an emergency, and I got in at 2pm. I came 10 minutes early and still had no waiting time. Dr. Lee Chuljoo took an x-ray, and before he saw the results he said he could do it for $100 (a godsend for me, I'm on a budget). He extracted the tooth within 20 minutes, and there was no pain even though I was awake. I will admit some of his equipment looks old, but hey, it works. Also, if you want a fancy treatment where they put you under, I don't know if Dr. Lee Chuljoo would be the best. However, he saved the day as far as I'm concerned, and I know he won't over charge you.

They will make you as comfortable during the process too. No rushing through the process - from the time the procedure is discussed to the time you leave the procedure chair. I had a few estimates done prior to the first few visits with my children and Dr. Oltean is in fact "in-line" with other Oral Surgeons in the area. My kids have to be dragged to any Doctors and they said they would not hesitate going back, nor would I! Every process has been treated with the utmost comfort and care. I highly recommend Dr. Pottorff if a need arises for such unpleasant procedures, but hopefully you can avoid the need for his services! The office manager was so friendly and accommodating! She was able to get me an appointment that was conveniently on my lunch break and when I unexpectedly took the day off work, she worked some magic and was able to get me in earlier that same day! I only waited for a few minutes for the doctor, and she apologized as if I had been waiting for an hour. Talk about service! The technician cleaning my teeth was gentle on my teeth and friendly, she seemed really nice. Dr. Mike was great!! He provided prompt and professional service, did a great job of making me feel comfortable and listened to what I had to say. Imagine, doctors still do that! Bite guards are analogous to that extended warranty on your cheap electric razor--little work for the store, high profit margin and 9/10 not needed. Suggested onlays over fillings, and tried to convince me to change insurances for "better coverage" (translation, so you, the patient, can pay more out of pocket, and I, the dentist, can get more monetary compensation). The sad part, I'm a medical professional with many friends in dentistry. It was easy to uncover the motive$$$ behind the suggestions. Very charismatic individual, I can easily see how the layperson would be impressed. Seems a little shady if you ask me. P.S. I always like to go to the dentist and get out as quickly as possible. I am a new patient got X-rays, a cleaning and an exam in 40 minutes! Can't beat that. The hygienist Monica was SO friendly and put me at ease. She was good at cleaning my teeth but gentle (as so many of the hygienists I've had in the past are not). Dr. Patel introduced himself and explained a concern I had about a filling in my molar from age 13. Everyone was very nice and did a great job, the equipment was very up to date. I have been to about 5 dentists in Chicago over the past 12 years and so far they are tied for first place! Thanks!
