It's our third year that we come for a vacation here in this lovely town. But our first time here…read moreat this restaurant. We booked ahead, but actually besides us there was only one other table that night (a weekday). It's a comfy, cosy place with a nice courtyard. Our Bulldog was welcome as well. We ordered the fried seafood and the octopus meatballs for starters. A bottle of Pigato (white) with the meal. The fried seafood was really nice. Tasted fresh and crispy. A good mix of different fish and seafood. The octopus meatballs were very disappointing. Didn't taste fresh unfortunately and had a strong flavour. Not sure it wasn't very fresh or just frozen. We love seafood, but this wasn't it. For the mains we chose the Pesto Gnocchi and Shrimp Risotto. The Gnocchi were pretty good, the Pesto was ok. The shrimp in the Risotto were really nice, but the rice for our likings a bit overcooked - we do enjoy a bit more bite. The wine was nice though. Pigato is always a good choice. The food was a bit on the disappointing side then. We had higher expectations, and this town has so many choices of restaurants. Not sure it was a slow day or we were just a bit unlucky that day. The reviews are very good - but not our experience. That said, I have to point out that our waiter was fantastic. A really nice guy, took care of us very nicely. That was really great. And the prices are fair too.

Great small restaurant. The food at this place is gourmet, service is excellent and it has a super…read moreromantic atmosphere. The dining area is decorated with candles, flowers and nice old fashioned mirrors, which makes the place very quaint and welcoming. It is located on the main boulevard that runs along the water, but you have to walk down a small alley to get to the entrance of the restaurant. Definitely a place to stop by for dinner if you are in Santa Margherita.

Cute local spot located 1 block away from the main street. I came here for the pesto lasagna and…read moreI'm so glad I did. I could have eaten 3 of those plates. I wiped the plate clean with the foccaccia to the point where the waiter commented "wow maam you did a great job!" I didn't know whether or not I should be embarrassed or flattered. I also had the bis of tuna and squid- cooked 2 different ways. This was recommended by the waiter but I really was not impressed. The tuna was a bit overcooked and the squid tasted a bit fishy. Regardless, the pesto lasagna was so mindblowingly amazing that I'd still rate this 4.5 stars for the overall experience. Service was fantastic as well and I was often asked if I wanted anything else. There is outside seating as well. I love how the menu is handwritten! Tons of character.

This was the first restaurant we visited while in Italy. We asked the hotel front desk girl for…read morerecommendations. She gave us 2, one being Cucu. And we asked a local walking around town, and she also gave us 2, including Cucu, which made it an easy decision to check it out. They had a few tables inside, but all the tables were full or had a reservation. So we grabbed the only table for two that was left, outside. We started out with the Burrata and 2 glasses of wine. I ordered the Chateaubriand and my wife ordered the Pappardelle pasta with white beef sauce. We then finished, of course, with a tiramisu , which we shared. I do not think we could have made a better choice. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. And the bill was like a 50 spot , unbelievable. Camogli is a beautiful town along the Ligurian sea. This restaurant among many others is only minutes away from our hotel. The Hotel Cenobio dei Dogi. If you find yourself in Camogli Italy, I recommend checking out restaurant Cucu.
