We took our three grandchildren (4, 9, and 11 years old) to this very pleasant Indian restaurant in downtown Trieste. The service was great, and they were very patient with the children. We all had lassi's (sweet yogurt drinks), which were sweet and flavorful, maybe too sweet to eat with the meal. The vegetarian dishes were out of the world, but the chicken tandoori was dry and the chicken curry just so-so. The pieces of meat were pretty small. The pakoras were the best I've ever had and the naan was also exceptional. The samosas were just acceptable to my mind, although the grandchildren thought they were great. The gulab jamun was very good.
We ordered two complete meals for the five of us, with an extra bowl of rice. We all had our fill and the only leftover was the rice. read more
