Most tables outside were taken and many on the inside as well. The dishes were probably not the typical choice of people there - most get noodles or stir fry. My Cantonese rice was amazing, but the chicken felt like it had tomato sauce all over it and not the sweet and sour one. No complimentary snacks. But I'm flexible, so I "enjoy" Chinese food when I'm dining with friends who suggest Chinese. It was a friend who led me to China Town. We opted to order off the menu instead of the buffet. The hot and sour soup was a little different than what I'm used to, but it was a pleasing (if peppery) flavor. I enjoyed it. My main dish, however, was MORE bland and boring than I've ever had. No problem, right? just mix in some hot oil and give it a minute to sink in, right? Except they don't have any hot oil available (what?!?). My eggroll was soggy, chewy, and tasted frozen. I'm gonna guess they grabbed it from a vat on the buffet (that's what I would have done..) If you're into quantity (buffet) or just reallllllly like Chinese food, no matter what, then maybe you'll enjoy it. But if you're the slightest bit snobby about it, there's nothin' to see here.

We were largely ignored when we went in so we sorted out our own seating. Language was a barrier and caused a bit of confusion around Coca Cola - we wanted zero but they kept offering the full sugar variety. We got sorted after a while with lots of smiles all around. On night one we ordered 5 dishes: chicken and sweetcorn soup and pork ribs to start. We asked to have the ribs without batter, but they came battered; maybe the language barrier again. Our mains were chicken fried rice, sweet & sour pork and a vegetarian noodle dish. We also had a portion of beansprouts. The food was delicious and second night we went there early again and we waited for the staff to finish their communal meal opting for hot & sour soup, spring rolls, chicken fried rice, vegetarian noodles and bean sprouts. The portions were generous and the food was mostly delicious but the battered pork ribs were pretty poor 2 star and the sweet & sour pork was a good three star in a two star more vinegary sauce. The food came sporadically like the chicken fried rice arrived but the sweet & sour pork took a while then the beansprouts took another while. The welcome was muted both nights, most likely the language barrier and it had no discernible atmosphere, added to this each night 4 euro of the bill was the Italian coperto charge. It is what it is. When we paid at the end we got fortune cookies to go.
