I couldn't decide for a very long time if I want to give this place a 4 or 5 star rating, and it…read morewould have been more accurate to rate it 9/10. However, it wasn't exceptional. The staff was great and the menu comes with pictures and several languages including English, which was very nice considering it's a Chinese restaurant in Italy. The servers were quick and the dishes I ordered didn't take long to arrive. The atmosphere in the restaurant is friendly and clean. I ordered jasmine tea, Cantonese rice and sweet and sour chicken(because I myself am a chicken and didn't wanna try anything too exciting). The waiter brought complimentary chips right away, and within 10 minutes I had all of my food. The rice smelled amazing but was a little dry, which wasn't a big deal since I had the sweet and sour chicken. However, the chicken surprised me a bit because there was no breading and the sauce was more sour than sweet; it came with some fresh veggies on top which were fantastic. Overall, I am just used to the American Chinese food and this was a different but definitely good experience! I would definitely come back here and try something else because the menu is full of options, including very tasty looking vegetarian ones.

I have the Cantonese rice, sweet and sour chicken, pork dumplings and pork with vegetables. The rice was light and fluffy and had a mixture of egg, pork and vegetables, exactly as it should have. The sweet and sour chicken was a breaded fried chicken cutlet covered in a very tangy sweet and sour sauce with lots of vegetables mixed in. The pork dumplings were pork with onions and garlic wrapped in a wonton wrapping and fried on a flat top grill, very similar to gyoza. The pork with vegetables was meaty pork bites with vegetables in a brown sauce that was tasty, but I can't identify. The sauces seemed like they came from jar. There was nothing wrong with them, but they seemed a bit flat. The decor is neat and tidy and pretty standard for a Chinese restaurant. Most of the tables were 4-tops, but there are a few smaller tables and I do not doubt you could ask for tables to be combined for a bigger party. The service was excellent. We were sat immediately and the server came quickly to take our order and helped us decide. The dishes began coming out of the kitchen quickly and in the correct order. If I were in California I would have likely given this place a 3/5, it is a fine choice. But in Italy when I'm tired of Italian food and themes and want a change of pace, it is definitely a 4/5. This is one of the few places in Trieste I have seen that will accept Discover card.

I tried the vegetarian bean vermicelli noodles, and I requested that they add some spice to the dish as it does not come spicy. I enjoyed the noodles, they were thin and transparent, and slightly chewier than rice vermicelli. Be warned, these are somewhat slimy in appearance, which might throw some people off who are picky about textures! The flavor was nice, I wouldn't say it was spicy, but they did add a sauce into my dish that wasn't in my dinner partner's order of the same thing. There was a good amount of vegetables, but next time I would request a stir fried egg in the mixture as well for some added flavor and texture to break up the sliminess. While dining, you are near other guests, as the tables are all sat side by side. This may not be the best location to have a first date or a private chat, but sufficient for a casual meal for a good price, and maybe a chat with your table neighbor! The service was traditional for Europe. You need to tell them you are ready and call them over, and then go to the front to cash out. Not a bad stop for the price, especially considering what you pay for food on the Venice islands, you likely come back to the mainland ready to eat!

They have all you can eat options for lunch and dinner as well as a LARGE sit down menu. They have everything from Chinese food to Japanese food and delicious Italian deserts. I loved that they even had "baby" menu options. They also have liquor, beer and wine. The food was extremely fresh, came out quickly with great portion sizes. The prices were incredible. Highly recommend you try it.

But I'm flexible, so I "enjoy" Chinese food when I'm dining with friends who suggest Chinese. It was a friend who led me to China Town. We opted to order off the menu instead of the buffet. The hot and sour soup was a little different than what I'm used to, but it was a pleasing (if peppery) flavor. I enjoyed it. My main dish, however, was MORE bland and boring than I've ever had. No problem, right? just mix in some hot oil and give it a minute to sink in, right? Except they don't have any hot oil available (what?!?). My eggroll was soggy, chewy, and tasted frozen. I'm gonna guess they grabbed it from a vat on the buffet (that's what I would have done..) If you're into quantity (buffet) or just reallllllly like Chinese food, no matter what, then maybe you'll enjoy it. But if you're the slightest bit snobby about it, there's nothin' to see here.
