I asked a few times if they could soften the pressure, and eventually asked if this was actually a Swedish massage. They responded, "Yes, this is the medical massage." After I got home, I checked the website again and realized that a "medical massage" isn't even an option when booking online, so I'm not sure if there was a misunderstanding or if this is simply how they perform their Swedish massages. Even after that conversation, I had to ask on multiple occasions for the pressure to be reduced. If this was their standard Swedish massage, it was far more intense than any Swedish massage I've had before. I also noticed other reviews mentioning how intense the massages can be. I'd definitely recommend confirming exactly what type of massage you're getting and discussing the pressure level before they begin as this was not relaxing at all.
