Upon entering, I was so shocked to see the store was smaller in size than I imagined. I cannot even recall if I have been to a Sprouts location prior to this visit. I arrived around 5pm on a Friday. Surprisingly, the store was not busy or crowded. I was also surprised to notice many of the customers were older. I decided to browse aisle by aisle since this was my first time visiting. I picked up some items that were on BOGO, which I had previously planned to possible purchase because I have an existing Sprouts account. I love that there were samples in wellness aisles and you were limited to 2 per individual. When I was browsing the beverages, I noticed a can was almost 2 months expired. I usually see this at Publix but did not expect here. The more customers coming in as I shopped and I noticed some of the aisles were really narrow so it was difficult to shop and browse. This shortened the remainder of my visit. The bakery section had an abundance of assorted items and many on clearance due to expiration. I was sad that many of the vegan refrigerated foods were out of stock and not a lot of vegan prepared foods, which I was shocked about. Next and last task: checking out. I decided to do the self checkout and was offered assistance several times by employees, which I also declined. Maybe they receive a commission if they check a customer out or something? It was a little annoying. Otherwise, the store was clean and tidy and there was plenty of parking.

The dining room is large and open with plenty of seating, including both tables and booths. Service was a little slow, but with only two servers working, it was understandable. They serve Coke products, which is always a plus for me. I appreciated being able to order the turkey club without any sides since I don't eat large portions. If you're hungry, the sandwiches normally come with two sides. I also ordered the French toast ($7.56) with no extras. It comes topped with powdered sugar, but I opted out. It was served on a small plate with no room for anything else. The French toast was made with standard bread and egg batter--nothing fancy, but it was prepared well and tasted good. The turkey club was substantial and satisfying. I would have preferred it cut into quarters like a traditional club sandwich, and the ingredients should have extended closer to the edges of the bread rather than being centered. It also could have used a bit more turkey. That said, the sandwich was juicy, flavorful, and tasted exactly like a turkey club should. Overall, a solid meal with generous portions, plenty of seating, and a comfortable atmosphere.

Once you…read moreexperience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. This particular Publix appears to be a newer Publix and has the expected pleasant vibe that only enhances my overall shopping experience. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location for that matter and I give it five stars.

Yelp had asked me what I think of Aldi's and I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed it as of yet…read more Aldi's is one of my go to's along with a couple other stores but it's one of my favorites because it has a little bit of everything that I know are so worth shopping for. Some of these thing's include most dairy and I have to say that they have an incredible selection of cheeses especially during the holidays that are divine! The prices you cannot beat and they are incredible just like some of the upscale stores. The condiments are of great value and can't be beat. Nuts and often the fruit and veggies are the best deal around here. They have frozen shrimp and thing's like this that are wonderful even smoked salmon and other treats. I often buy their version of my laughing cow cheese at a better price because I eat this daily. They often have brand name items that would surprise you such as Dave's killer organic bread, Dorito's, kind bars, snickers ice cream, Goldfish , m&m's, Duke's mayo, Gatorade and so much more. Their own brands are amazing and if you try their chocolate you may not go back to other brands. They have a sourdough bread that only has a few ingredients and tastes phenomenal! Aldi's has what everyone calls their aisle of shame where they get items that everyone loves and often go fast like Dubai pistachio cream, household goods like a heavy duty 2 qt cast iron Dutch oven that looks amazing! Name brand cereals like Reese's Puff's dark chocolate, mini Oreos with peanut butter and so much more. While some say it's the aisle of shame some call it the fun aisle but let me tell you that Aldi is not only about food you can definitely find some household goods too and is worth a visit quite often. On my last visit Jessica who is the best employee yet had helped me so much. I did not get a cart and I should have known better ( don't forget your quarter ) this guarantees returns. She offered me a box. So kind of Jessica and I was grateful. Then I had misplaced my phone and Jessica told me to let her know if I needed her to place a call to help find it. Needless to say this past time at Aldi's was my best experience yet. Thank you Jessica for going above and beyond you are the best and I will always be grateful! Aldi's I'll be back and this one here on SW 19th Avenue Rd in Ocala is my favorite of all!
