Martyna and her crew installed our solar panels almost a year ago. From beginning to end, the…read moreinstall went smoothly. Everyone was very professional. I appreciated the "hidden" access port into my attic. Since then, my "hybrid" system has been working as intended, without any problems. I have my own battery system, and all that was needed were the solar panels installed. I hired them twice to add more panels and ended up with a 5K system. Would absolutely hire again. They are, however, very busy as expected, so don't be discouraged by the wait to install. I appreciate all the time and effort they invest in their customers to make dreams come true true. Good business and worth every penny! Thanks again.

Getting a full PV system that meets all of the household electrical needs is a big project and I had quotes done by 2 other companies prior to settling on Solartime for my project. They were the most communicative and allowed the most flexibility as well as experience when discussing the ins and outs of brands, solar limitations, and my electric needs. I interfaced heavily with Jason on the front end and he was able to field all of my tedious questions right up until we scheduled the install. Once we got all the paperwork, permitting, financing, and equipment selection out of the way installation was quite speedy and I was informed and involved each step along the way. Gregory was the team lead for the onsite installation and has a real passion for solar and a wealth of knowledge to field any questions. He did a very professional job and while install took the better part of one day and a portion of another he was patient with any questions or issues which came up along the way. I highly recommend solartime, as even in the event they may not be your final selection they are all well versed in the inter-workings on the industry and if nothing else you will gain a more clear understanding of how your system should work and how much it should cost you.

Going back the first time they contacted me, I remember a…read morevery friendly and light hearted conversation. We joked because I'm an Aggie that I don't know if I can have any association with anything "Longhorn" related. Mary and her team are great. They made me feel welcome and they never pressured me about anything. When I wanted to change things up a little with seeing the specs on a different system size they were responsive and helpful. I highly recommend them. They don't have a big presence yet, so Let them know if this review helped you if you decide to reach out and go with Longhorn Solar. Chris S

Solar as an industry needs to mature. Too much profit chasing and not enough service for the cost…read more I wanted to believe that Longhorn Solar was different but kept running into problems. Planning and communication needs work. I never knew when the work was to be done until the night before. The wrong parts or lack of parts on the first install date was a bad sign. Then the second install date and still not able to operate on solar until 2 weeks later - yet they want their payment right away. The worst was when I lost power to the house after the transfer box was installed. This was on a Friday afternoon. I called to ask for help but had to send an email for support. Support said it wasn't their issue, but it was, a bad breaker. I had to find and pay for my own electrician to fix it. I was reimbursed but that didn't excuse the lack of support. The 24-hour support team finally responded back to me 5 days later after I sent the video of the bad breaker arcing. I could go on but I think you get the idea. There are some good people there but as a company, it's just not the quality and service expected for the price paid. Value is directly related to the price vs quality mentioned.

I selected a bid from Native for a 9.9kW PV System tied to a 7.6 kW SolarEdge HD Wave inverter. My…read moresystem is somewhat unique because it utilizes the still new HD Wave inverters from SolarEdge which have a much smaller footprint. My flat roof allowed a relatively large system, but the designers did not feel comfortable with a fully optimized tilt angle. My recommendations: Be patient as the design and scheduling process continues as the team of vendors may each encounter unexpected delays... Especially in Texas where the economics of Solar PV are challenging, look for rebates or incentives offered by Retail Electric Providers... Consider gaining multiple quotes from installers to feel comfortable with the pricing and bids presented. I'm glad that I used the Energy Sage tool to easily compare bids from multiple installers. Use this referral code to easily access the Energy Sage tool: http://www.energysage.com/?rc=e1.janypg Changes from initial bid: Installer significantly modified the initial bid proposed to use fewer but larger panels... Installer selected a different, but higher quality, panel type from the initial bid based on availability of panels at no charge to me... Additional Reference Discussion and Referrals: Feel free to contact me directly to discuss my experience with Native, Inc. I'd be glad to provide my referral code to Native. If you'd like to consider Tesla Energy (formerly Solar City) , I'd also be glad to provide my referral code to them which provides you with an additional 5 year extended warranty.
