We stumbled across Seventh South looking for fresh local seafood and ended up finding one of our…read morefavorite meals of the trip. From the moment we walked in, the hostesses and manager made us feel welcome and had us seated right away. Our server, Angel, was fantastic. He walked us through the menu, explained how many of the dishes were prepared, and made thoughtful recommendations without ever feeling pushy. We started with the octopus and fresh focaccia with honey. The octopus was exceptional--easily one of the best I've had and on par with dishes I've enjoyed at Michelin-starred and James Beard-recognized restaurants. We also shared the beet and goat cheese salad, followed by the local snapper and the ribeye cap topped with lobster claw and tail in chimichurri. Every dish was beautifully prepared and showcased the quality of the ingredients. The cocktails were well balanced (not overloaded with ice), and the Thyme on Thyme is an easy recommendation if you're looking for something light and refreshing. The wine list paired nicely with the meal as well. Watching the sunset over the water while listening to music drifting across the park made the evening even more memorable. Thanks to Angel and the kitchen for such an outstanding experience. Seventh South has earned a spot on our regular rotation whenever we're in Naples.

When we walked into the restaurant, we were presently surprised on how pretty the place transformed from what used to be Three60 Market. Cozy, rustic, chic. Since it is a small place, every table seemed to have a view of the river. They also had outdoor dining, which would be nice once the weather gets cooler. We arrived right when they opened so we were initially the only people there. However, that quickly changed in the next hour or 2. We were seated by the hostess, and our waiter quickly appeared. He was warm and friendly and was attentive throughout the night. They had a good selection of wines by the glass, and specialty cocktails From the summer dining specials, we all ordered different entrees. Everything was delicious. Both the appetizers and dinner were full portions. Great deal for the price. All of us will be coming back, and bringing our husbands.

We had a server and her trainee come over to take our drink orders. I got one of their house beers and the rest of the party got sodas/waters. After scanning the menu we had our orders in mind, but our servers were nowhere in sight. After about 10-15 minutes, they came back with the drinks and took our orders. We werent super hungry, so we ordered an app and a couple dishes. The large soft pretzel with cheese sauce, their cuban sandwich and some pasta for the kids. The food took another 20+ minutes to come out but lets run down the list. Lets start with the app, the pretzel. Came out and it was stale. It was luke warm, undersalted and the cheese sauce tasted like watered down cheese from a can. As a BIG fan of pretzels, this one was a big letdown. Entree wise, the pasta and the cuban, also let downs. The pasta was stiff. Not Al Dente, stiff as in undercooked and oversauced. The Cuban sandwich looked good coming out, but after ONE bite I knew it wasnt going to be good. I dont want to say the meat was bad or sour, but after three attempts, I was done and didnt want any more. There was another large gap in server visits to ask if we needed another beer or any refills so I made every effort to flag down our waitresses so we could get the check and get out of there. Needless to say, as far a brewery goes, I wouldnt go back to Marco Island brewery.
