The BEER: Remnants of Theia... Hazy DIPA 9.6% ABV... completely delicious...WOW! Porpoise Party... IPA 6.5% ABV... a very solid IPA... totally crushable. UNO...Pale Ale 5.7% ABV... this is a well put together IPA... So very delicious FIRE You Got A Bone Saison... Saison 7.7% ABV... decent Saison, if you have white wine drinkers, they will love this Tasted... Tonight We Ryed.. maple imperial Stout 14%... if there was rye here it evaded me. Our first brewery stop in Naples was RipTide, and we had the best time! Fun surfer vibes inside the taproom, and the beertender, Terry, was so fun to chat with! He gave us plenty of samples, and told us about other places we should visit/try out. I tried several different beers here, including the coffee blonde, Seafoam Hazy IPA, and a couple of the sours. They also had a great outdoor space in the back (but it could definitely use some shade for those hot Florida afternoons). We have visited this brewery on a prior trip while in Naples, and it is one of our favorite, local spots to stop into for good craft beers. We enjoy the casual vibe and conversation with the local patrons. They have a nice assortment of brews on tap. Today I had the Western Red Ale which was a really smooth lager. Others enjoyed the Maximum Depth Imperial Stout and the Seafoam Haze IPA. All were very good. Happy hour is $1 off between 3:00-6:00 pm on all of the beers they brew. They do offer some other drink choices in cans, wine, and soft drinks. Our bartender, Amber, was super-friendly and attentive with all of the patrons and took time to recommend some restaurants in the area she felt were good places to dine. We were pleased to see that Riptide welcomes our furry friends and several dropped in while we were there. There was even a jar of treats for the dogs. They have bagged pretzels for snacking and have food trucks come on Tues/Thurs Trivia nights which are held 7-9 pm. Just for information, they do not sell Growlers, but can fill a Growler if you bring your own in. Also, they update their menu with the QR code on their menu. The site is not updated routinely, so do not refer to the website for current brews on tap. I would have awarded them with 5 stars had the bathroom been cleaner and the hallway been free of buckets, boxes, and other miscellaneous items between the men's restroom and the back door. Walking up the front entrance is very dark especially at 9pm at night. If you didn't look up you wouldn't know where the brewery entrance was. There is plenty of parking in front and around the building. Out back they have any alley that leads to the food trucks and back door entrance to the brewery. They have a great list of special releases to choose from. They also have a special beer brewed for the Naples Zoo called Athena Ale. For every pint ordered they donate $2.00 to the zoo. Athena ale is a golden ale kisses with the essence of strawberry. ABV 5.1% IBU 23 Dogs are aloud to roam around the brewery as well. This brewery seems to have a nice crowd of local repeat customers. The state established by German brewmeister's like Pabst, Coors, Schlitz, Best, Blatz, Miller, etc. For crying out loud some bars are open at 6 AM! We stopped here on our way home from a road trip. We were actually looking for the taco stand called Gray Boys tacos. We found out that it was actually in the back open space of RipTide Brewing Company. We ordered from the food truck off of a tablet and waited inside the brewery. Ian was a bartender and let us try our a few samples before deciding on our two favorites, hola tourista and redrum (spelled like the shining movie). The brewery actually host different regular food trucks on different days. The food was affordable, delicious and filling. You can walk around the brewery and see the machinery in the back. Every time I come in. Three times. I have received horribly old flat beer. I don't know if they are moving on to seltzers or something but their beer is weak. I've had two different beers each time and they are consistently flat like bog water. I'm tricking my brain to consider it a stout like Guinness or smithwicks. Every beer in here needs help. This is definitely my fave brewery in Naples! Upon walking up to the building they had a bucket with a sign that said "free mango's"! If that doesn't pre-set the tone for this brewery... I'm not sure what does. Their staff was SO nice! We walked in and were greeted right away. Sat at the bar and went straight to ordering a full pour beer instead of a flight. I could tell all of their beers were amazing! I had a Tart Cherry Plum Sour and it was delish! I did ask to try a few other beers which they were happy to oblige. The atmosphere is also really great for gathering and hanging out. They had trivia the night we went and while we weren't staying it did start to get busy right when we left. It was also raining the day we went but I didn't realize they have an entire outside patio area with seating AND a food truck! Riptied, Riptied, Riptied. Sometimes I think they should change their name to "Ripped out of my house, and Tied to a barstool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" (Lol jk, just joshing, it's just sometimes I can't seem to get myself to leave once I've opened my tab). I remember as a child, my family would often vacate to the wonderful jersey shore, Atlantic City was always a special month for me and my family. My papa (father for those of you who don't know) would quickly drop us kids off at the motel. Us staying only 15 blocks from the beach was a delight for my sister and I. We'd wake up to find an empty hotel room, and we would quickly start our walk to the beach. This was my first experience of "RIPTIED" we called them rip currents back then but I love the new hip "slang" "Riptied". I would often get caught in these outgoing currents, only to call for my papa or mama. It was only till I was older I realized they had left for the casinos bright and early before sis (sister) and I had woken up. Many a time, my sister would be the one to flag the lifeguard down. It would only happen 10-15 times per week long trip, but sis was always there to notify the guards that a 10 year old was being swept out to sea. Maybe that's what draws me back to Riptied, like the lifeguard bringing me back to shore, I'm constantly ushered back to this establishment. We visit Naples frequently to see family. A lack of decent beer in the area has been one of my long running disappointments in the area. That's why we were excited to find Riptide had opened since our last visit. Convenient to the downtown area that caters more to the retired crowd that wants to drop $50 on a steak, Riptide is a great alternative for those that don't believe Stella Artois is the pinnacle of beer achievement. There are a couple of minor things that keep this from being a five star spot, and a couple of things that are better than many microbreweries. The one that I cannot excuse is the inability to build your own flight. Putting a Belgian on a flight with a stout and a porter and expecting all of your customers to like how you group your beers is mildly offensive to the customer. I like porters and IPAs, but not stouts. Well, no dice for me at Riptide. Out of the probably 50 different brewery tasting rooms I have been to around the country, I have never experienced this. I have never before suggested to an establishment how to run their business before, but I am here. Riptide- change this policy! Second, the service level is not what I expect at a brewery. There was an owner present when we visited. Despite sitting in a prominent location and making eye contact several times as he worked his way around the room to talk to people he knew, he avoided even asking us if everything was ok. Part of the fun of a brewery is getting to know people, talking about beers and what they like and don't like about the place. Tip number two to the management - treat everyone like they are your friend and make sure your staff does the same. Taprooms are great places to make new friends, and that includes the staff. Now to the good stuff- the beer. For a two month old brewery, the beers exceeded expectations across the board, mostly. The three IPAs did a nice job of covering the variations in that style. The porter was a solid example. The two that weren't outstanding were the pale ale and the stout. Both were lacking the balance that is critical to those styles. I bet after a few more batches, those beers will come up to the quality of the others. A note for people in Naples that are not familiar with a typical taproom- this is not a restaurant! The fact that Riptide has partnered with others to have some dips and sausages available in the cooler is an unusually nice touch. The option for wine and cider is also something that isn't always featured in a tap room. Riptide has done an excellent job at making this a destination for those that haven't quite caught on to the taproom style. There was also a food truck on site when we were there. For a craft beer taproom, Riptide offers more options than 90% of the typical breweries. Well done! I'd come back to Riptide and recommend it to friends. With a couple little tweaks, this could be a five star, highly recommended destination. Excellent start for a new entry into a new market in Naples! read more

This gem of a brewery just opened in late November. They have several taps, including rotating taps that feature other Florida brews. We tried the two flights (so all of the mainstays) and there were several beers that I really enjoyed, especially the Kraken DIPA, Nymph's Nectar Belgian Dark Strong and the Undertow IPA. The beers were all really smooth and drinkable, even the full-bodied ones. The bartenders gave us some amazing beer mix and they also offer cold seafood spreads and dips for sale. During the evening hours they have different food trucks where you can buy food. The bar has a beach/surf shack vibe which I really liked. The bar top was made of reclaimed wood that reminded me of driftwood. There are games and giant Jenga to keep you entertained while you have a beer. I really liked this place! The location leaves something to be desired (it's in a tiny strip mall area on a side street) but I think RipTide Brewing will be successful! I will be back the next time I'm in town! read more

Wow, what a great new hangout for Naples! The freshest draft beer you'll get, served correctly amidst the actual brewing facility. Plenty of beer and wine choices here to please any palette, with perfect descriptions of each flavor along with the ABV, so you know what you're getting yourself into! Something new is that they offer traditional pints but also a 9 oz. option, in case you don't want a full size 7.2% beer, if ya know what I mean. Sampler flights divvied into A or B, with the latter being the heavy hitters, comes with four different samples. The prices are extremely reasonable as well. I am updating this review as I have learned of the food options they do have! Ignorance is bliss, but see the owner's comment below to see what they have! Awesome stuff and a great concept! They tucked in a local band in the corner in front of the old St. George and the Dragon front entrance door (seriously....and it is awesome to see that stained glass again!). My boyfriend and I planned a sunrise to sunset day for my birthday and Riptide Brewing Company was on the agenda. I instantly liked the laid back vibe and decorations. Very beach inspired. They were pretty busy for Saturday afternoon but we found a couple spots at the bar. I had a flight of Paddle Puss, Kaiser von Naples, Upside Down and Big Cypress. Upside Down was my favorite. It was a sour and had a great tangy flavor. They don't have much in the way of food but we tried the fish dip. They give you a nice portion with some simple crackers but I would have liked some lemon and hot sauce too. Maybe even a few pieces of celery. We did see someone get delivery from a restaurant obviously next door because it was delivered on foot and on covered plates. Very fancy like.
