Found this service through a google search looking for a dryer vent cleaner. I left a message and they called me back. Very personable and professional in the conversation. I did the check list to ensure everything was ready for the appointment and they were a No show. I tried calling and the phone never went to voice mail. I tried to pull up the site and it's not pulling up. I can't contact them to find out what happened. Maybe the do good service for others, but can't call it good if they don't show. -- follow up I did get a call back after leaving this review. Apparently this has been a comedy of errors. Although I got the confirmation email, my appointment did not get scheduled. For some reason their phones were not cycling to voice mail and the site not pulling up is going to be investigated. read more

Thought it was ok until my odor came back worse than ever, found the air equipment they use to clean blew out insulation (the seal) in the intake vent and...., when my ac guys came to check it out, the debris, lent and built up dust in the ducts was unbelievable , complete waste of time, expense and caused significant damage. I've paid $1000's to repair the damage (my ac guy is currently in the attic finishing some repairs), also blew out a couple of ducts. I do not recommend this company or this type cleaning for flex ducts, try a soft brush with a vacuum and camera, otherwise you may end like me. Found Ripley Services through a google search for dryer vent cleaning. I called and left messages with 6 other businesses in the area, and Ripley's was the first to call back the next day. They were able to come out the same day they called me back. Reese Wilson was the technician. He was prompt, courteous, fast, and efficient. He even gave me a referral card for $50 my next service if I refer someone and my referral would get $50 off a $150 service. I wish I had found them first before going through ProConnect an on-demand service advertised on my homeowner's warranty website. They assigned a technician that showed up in an unmarked car - no company logo, name, or insignia. Neither of them was carrying any tools or equipment. The main guy didn't seem to know where to look for the dryer vents. He pulled the dryer out not even halfway to even do a proper assessment. After walking all around the house, and not even 5min later he tells me it will cost me $300 for him and his guys to perform the cleaning. And he would have to come back another day to do it. I said thanks but no thanks. I will gather a few more quotes. Also, the guy was getting combative with me the whole time. I will never use ProConnect again and contemplating changing my homeowner's warranty company. read more

Rachel quoted me for Silver (basic clean) = $252 GOLD (Recommended) $378 Platinum $504), I paid pretty much for a Platinum service but received no vacuuming. The service fee I was charged was $467.42 - almost double of my chosen silver plan. The next day after cleaning, I vacuumed two of my rooms again to see how well the professional cleaning went. See photos attached. When I called Rachel, she responded that there's nothing she can do and offered to pay up for the GOLD option in order to receive vacuuming services. Updated: Spoke earlier today with the owner Greg in regards to my email complaint. He was very receptive and understood my concerns. We have used Ripley Services for carpet and tile cleaning as well as air duct cleaning for many, many years. Our most recent experience was horrible. We were scheduled for 1:00 and received a call, a bit before 1:00, that the previous customer asked the service techs to do additional work and the techs would be arriving late to our home. They showed up about 2:30 and it takes a solid 8 - 10 hours to get the carpets dry even with all the fans on and keeping it cold in the home (which is what they had recommended to us for 'fast' drying). I paid extra money to have them 'flush' a spot where my dog had thrown up on the carpet in the living room. Although I tried to clean it using Ripley's 'special' cleaning and odor control fluids that I purchased last time I used their services, each time I passed that spot, I could smell the bad odor. Well - after the flush and Ripley's cleaning service, that smell was ALL over my entire living room. Now, I smelled that bad odor as soon as I walked in my front door. It has taken several weeks for me to try and get that odor out of my entire living room carpet and I finally have it reduced to an acceptable level using products other than Ripley's and I will need to continue to work on it. It is either work on it myself or I'll need to replace the entire living room carpet. What a disappointment. I will never use this service again!!!! read more

I contacted Ripley Services through yelp's messaging service (I find very convenient being able to contact multiple companies when I have these types of requests) and Greg was very prompt to respond my request, also he was very helpful asking key questions in order to be able to better assist my requests. He was able to get an appointment for same day service; he said someone would come over between 2-3 and based on previous experiences with other companies, I was expecting they would be here any time in the afternoon or evening, but they showed up very punctually at 2pm. Ripley's is the most honest carpet cleaning company I've met yet! Thus company could have taken our money and moved forward with the job but Terry gave an honest assessment regarding the job. We were going to have them additionally stretch our carpets however, our carpets roll up onto lower wall to form a baseboard-like effect in our sunken den. They didn't want to tackle a special situation as this but referred another company who specializes in these. The other company came out quickly and performed the stretch nicely. I saw them advertising on my communities Facebook page. I just so happened to need my dryer vents cleaned out as it wasn't drying them in one run as it used to. There was a young woman and man who came to clean it and they were very professional and efficient. They did a great job cleaning it and now my dryer works like new again and I don't have to worry about a fire starting due to clogged vents! They also gave me an estimate for my grout to be cleaned (which I asked for) and left me with a bottle their brand of floor cleaner that was pet and baby safe as well as a cleaning rag free of charge. We had these guys come out to carpet & duct clean after moving to a new house. . My allergies had been acting up really badly since the day we'd moved in but I haven't sneezed once since these guys came out. So that should tell you how clean they got the carpets & ducts. Also, everyone we dealt with was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. Moreover, they immediately owned up to & made up for an honest mistake (they hadn't closed the unit doors completely and that resulted in us having to call an AC repair company when the air wouldn't work). I left Ripley's a message after hours letting them know what happened and they called me first thing the next morning apologizing profusely and promised to put a check in the mail the same day for the AC repair company's service fee.
