Perfect Pizza! Glad we found this spot. Very close to public transportation. Looked for the best…read morereviews of pizza in Brisbane and Julius popped up. Took us a while to figure out where we were and how to get there. Actually not hard at all. We arrived and it was very crowded. Luckily we got a seat in the corner by a window close to the action(the kitchen where the pizzas were cooked). A few slices of focaccia were served with olive oil prior to our pizza and its was wonderful. Then the main event arrived and it was beautiful. And it tasted equally as great. The sausage pizza with arugula. It was awesome. Might want to make a reservation for this great place. Its is very popular. Highly recommend the sausage pizza.

Would definitely recommend to check this place out!

Everything from sauces, to pastas made fresh in their factory, to olive oil, to grissini, Angelo's has everything you could possibly need. When I popped in the staff were lovely and we had a good chat about the benefits of using first press olive oil. They were knowledgeable and clearly passionate about giving advice to novices like me. The pre-prepared cannelloni, tortellini and ravioli could potentially make me look like a half-decent cook next time I'm entertaining! What a revelation! For a bit of Italia in your life, Angelo's provides fresh, delicious produce available to everyone from their retail centre. I know where I'll be going next time I have people over for dinner!

When I've had a hell day at work or if I randomly have people over, Angelo's saves me. My favourite Angelo's product is their ravioli. Apart from their frozen pastas and ready meals, they also sell fresh pasta, dry pasta, and frozen pizzas. Their boutique pastas are an extra special treat and some of the flavours are unusual and amazing (I'm looking at you, beetroot fettuccine!). The parsley fettuccine is a revelation and my friends think I'm a culinary genius when I serve it up with nothing but some olive oil, lemon juice, and a little pecorino cheese on top. Angelo's has been making people look like amazing Italian cooks in their own home since 1968 apparently, and I'd be lying if I've never taken credit for one of their lasagnes myself.

IN LOVE. This place is so great. I came here after work in the city with a friend for the good ole…read morecasual Friday drinks and it did nothing but impress! I am actually in love with this place... the staff are beyond amazing. They are all super friendly, super helpful, kind, outgoing... it was literally like I had known them for years and I was a regular customer... We had casually asked the Manager (which we didn't realise at the time) whether there were any free seats around the side with the river view and they went beyond their call of duty to find us a spot. In the end, the Manager randomly came up to me and was like, "alrighty I'm moving this table" (the table we were currently at) and literally just picked up this massive table, threw it over his shoulder and carried it around the side and put it down in the most prime position; with one of the other staff members picking up our chairs and carrying them over for us... and this is just the beginning! Throughout the night they learned our names, asked if we were okay, helped us order drinks and food and at one stage while I was waiting for my friend to return from the bathroom, one of them literally just chatted with me for a bit so I had some company. They literally have just chosen the best crew member's ever. They are funny, kind and so friendly. It's amazing how people can change your whole experience, especially when you're paying fairly high prices for alcohol.. it makes you want to spend more! Apart from epic service and good vibes, the view is astronomical! I don't even want to know how much they pay in rent but their view is enough to put you into a nice la la land of happiness. It's epic. The Storey Bridge lit up at night with the lights of the city and Customs House around you are just priceless. It's such a relaxing way to end the week especially if you work in the city. I'd definitely go back here again and again and I think everyone should too. It's only opened recently and is worth giving a shot. It's just up from Riverbar and Friday's. It's definitely one of my permanent "go to" places now and I thoroughly recommend you make it one of yours too!

I stood at the bar and watched the barman pour premix and not even crush the lime and mint. He then apologized for the ugly limes. Even the lemon lime and bitters was wrong. We were grateful for the nice table with the fab view but wary of the food to come. To be continued... Our maitre d,Guiseppe, who we later learned was the owner, apologised for our drinks and escorted us to a nicer, more private table. There was no table service. We ordered the large mixed entree plate for 5. It was a generous serve with tasty dips, and breads. Be wary of the breaded olives that were stuffed with way too much salt. Giuseppe surprised us with a bottle of bubbles as his further apology for the drinks debacle. A welcomed gesture as we were celebrating a birthday. He agreed the olives were salty. For mains we ordered the mushroom tortellini, penne pasta with chicken and chorizo and the ravioli. Three of us raved about the tortellini but the ravioli and pasta were a big failure. When Giuseppe returned we asked him to sit with us and have a chat about our experience. He was very concerned and hospitable and took our feedback with managerial grace. A commendable attribute. This venue is new and still experiencing growing pains. Hopefully, it will get its mojo happening (and its mojitos!) Go for the fantastic view and order wine Thank you, Giuseppe, for saving the night. We'll be back.

The reason I go to Petersen's is because it makes me feel good to support that business. The shop is awfully quaint, and looks like the kind of place your grandma would have gone to get T bones for your grandpa because they were his special treat. (It's impossible not to get romantic about this store). On a busy day, I'd almost consider it fun to stand in the narrow customer area with every other man and his dog, breathing in that flesh smell, waiting patiently for someone to serve me. It's the atmosphere of this place that gets me more than specialty or novelty items they sell here (anything 'duck' is not ever a problem here). The prices are more than reasonable, and the meats are delicious. The butcher experience is a happy one here.

The store is conveniently located on the corner James and Kent Streets in New Farm, and the prices are much better than other places in the area. Plus, the meat is fantastic! I have bought great lamb shoulders from Petersen's, as well as some of the best steaks I have had at home. So if you live in a bit of a carnivorous household then cease your trips to the supermarket giants and buy your fresh meat from a local butcher like Petersen's.
