Honestly, made me look like a beauty queen in my photo....and I'm not. Easy to work with!

I understand the overpriced photo options since it involves a school district. What I don't understand is how you can charge what you charge and then not even question why a child wore their winter coat into their photo session. Not one adult wondered if a paying parent really was going to be agreeable to school photos of their child wearing their coat. Especially since Parents do not purchase from proofs, but instead must purchase sight unseen. Do better. read more

Unhappy since Medina City Schools in OH moved their school photos from LifeTouch to Ripcho a few years back. I prefer digital prints - with Lifetouch I would get them back w/in hours of submitting payment. Ripcho, for whatever reason, takes several weeks to return a digital file and there is no option to add a name/grade to the digital prints (unsure if the option exists for actual/hard copy prints). Happy that my son was able to get school photos at the Career Center w/ Lifetouch this year - first time in several years where I can sync the digital files up to my Shutterfly account automatically. read more

The school took the photos months ago. I ordered digital photos with no changes to the pictures. It's been weeks and we still have no photos. Does it seriously take 6+ months? I just want the kids photos. And all the other schools have their photos! They got theirs months ago! read more

Their customer service is HORRIBLE. Specifically Amelia or however you spell her name. She's extremely unprofessional and rude. I had to email and call on several occasions for an issue on THEIR end for my son pictures. Was promised on 3 separate occasions that the pictures were mailed... yet I never received them. Even spoke to a "carol" who was supposed to be a supervisor and she lacked empathy and was totally nonchalant about my frustrations. After 3 weeks of back and forth and straight up being lied to about my son's photos being sent, I had to PHYSICALLY go to the location and ask for them in hand. Amelia approached me with an attitude before even asking how she could help. She walked away from me mid conversation while telling me "I sent them already I sent them". Waited 15 mins for them to be handed to me with a nasty attitude telling me to have a good day. No apology, no form of compensation or anything. My experience with these people was so bad. Never again... they will never get a penny again. read more

To be honest, I could write a whole book about the experience I have had with this company. First things first, there is no customer service. I have been calling well over a month and emailing and barely have gotten a response. These people do not care about you getting your pictures. They do not care about you getting your correct pictures and they do not care about anyone but the company getting your money. Unfortunately I was forced to use them because they work with the school. My child goes to I have never been so disappointed in my life. I will continue to keep seeking to get my child's pictures. I have informed the school of the terrible experience I have had. This was my child's first school pictures, and this company should be ashamed of themselves. read more

Right now I'd give them no stars if I could. I ordered a digital photo and never received it. I've tried emailing and calling Ripcho multiple times and have not heard anything back yet. I got a proof from my son's school and my son's mouth is hanging open. I was hoping I could get a retake instead of the picture they owe me, but I can't get ahold of them. read more

Awful. My child's senior pictures were sloppy, and then there is a steep upcharge to digitally correct any stray hairs, wrinkles in shirts, and loose ties. No one could have help to adjust those things before the picture was taken? It's a scam. When I called to ask questions about retakes, no one ever answered the phone (I called several times a day for a week, and left a couple of messages). Messages were finally returned over a week later. This company is awful to work with and they have a bad reputation in many of the local schools that use them. read more

Zero stars. I am super disappointed that my school district switched to this company. The pictures always look horrible, and their customer service needs to be more present. I have been calling them for months regarding my daughter's senior pictures, and nobody answers the phone or returns calls. So now my daughter has no senior pictures. HATE THEM!!!! They were fine. I'm not a parent so I only saw the process and not the end result. I used to work in film and photography before so I am familiar with the equipment. They had the classes of kindergarten students stand on a pelican case instead of an apple box. If you know what those are, you can see the problem. The pelican case was flexible and unsteady. This review pertains to the spring school photos. I really wanted to order a spring photo since it was the last one for elementary school. After looking at the photo they took, I can't even buy it. The pose is horrendous. I contacted the company and they assured me they had "seasoned professionals" taking it, was unsure why my daughter had her hands on her legs, and there was nothing I could do because it was an additional photo shoot that is optional. If you see an awkward pose through the camera lens, you better offer assistance to the child to make a better frame. That's Photography 101. My daughter said they told her to put her hands weird in front of her legs with her arms/elbows sticking outward and stand with legs together like a ballerina. Completely unnatural and unflattering in the camera frame. Any seasoned photographer would feel ill if their product looked like this. I recommend if this company wants to keep a photo shoot optional, then actually hire photographers that know how to pose a child. Better poses = more parents will buy. I want our old company back. read more

Would have to agree and start off like the reviews already posted... If I could start off giving them o stars I would. This company has been the selected provided for our local school system for years. School pictures are cookie-cutter and they are what they are. They have always been expensive, but what are you going to do, right?! This was our students senior year and this is the company chosen by our school district. Scheduling was fairly straight forward. As were the studio sessions. The photographer was very friendly. We also added an outdoor session (expensive) but felt ok with it. Was not really pleased with the studio options and proofs. The outdoor proofs were great. Again the photographer was great. I wait a while to place an order so I could take advantage of a discount. It did not matter. When I finally placed an order I was shocked and angry at the prices. It is ridiculously OVER PRICED! The overall quality of the company's service does not even come close to deserving to charge these prices. I have no problem paying for quality work, but I was stuck. Just to give you a bit of comparison. I had an older student that graduated and we bought senior portraits form a different studio that had been the previous contracted service. I paid about the same amount at the previous studio and received 5 times more products comparatively. the cost was 5 times more for 3 items from Ripcho. It was $327 for 3 items and it would have been more had I not had a $25 discount and the $25 sitting fee added back. They wanted $80 for a 5x7! So not worth it! BUYER BEWARE! Plan early and find another studio for your graduating student. Hope this is helpful. read more

After reading other reviews about their customer service I am pleasantly surprised with my experience. I received a notification about picture retake day, sent them an email saying I wanted my child's picture retaken, they replied fairly immediately that it wouldn't be a problem, retake day was no problem, and I received my new print in a timely fashion. No back and forth, arguing, or having to explain why I was unhappy with the first photo. I ordered digital prints. They also addressed my question regarding the class photo quickly and I received it with no additional problems. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. This place is terrible. Customer service is absolutely awful. Paid for pictures for school sports OVER THREE MONTHS AGO - have not gotten pictures, calls back, responses, etc. just get thrown to voicemail. I have all the transactions from the bank. And now all fall sports are over and there are no pics. I would suggest anyone using this place - stop and save yourself money. FOUR ATTEMPTS to find out where my money and pictures went. Oh and only having a small window to Order Online. This company is terrible. And I'm not the only one. As I have asked around, many other parents have had the same issues. And, after they finally got their pictures, they were awful to say the least. Smh. More like RipOFF studios it seems. Definitely asking our school district to NOT select them ever again. I'm absolutely appalled at the lack of quality and professionalism Ripcho studios has shown with my kid's school pictures over the years. But this company has reached an all time high of garbage with my boy's spring pics. I can not believe they would even send these to parents expecting them to shell out $10-$50 for a package of pictures with : no background, and brightening to the point where it removed my youngest son's jaw line!!! You could not pay me $50 to hang these in frames on my walls! Every single year for the kid's headshots we have to do retakes.... they don't care at all of the quality of work they put out. Oh, Your child have a strand of hair literally hanging in front of their face? Child's eyes half closed? Booger hanging out your kid's nose? They will take the shot and send it home. And yes we've had all three scenarios happen and have had to do retakes. Ripcho needs to go out of business and let the real professionals take care of school photos. read more

Ordered a photo package 10/11/2020. I received an empty envelope with no photos. I called and finally spoke to a lady who promised to get it handled. I call every week because no one calls me to let me know if it was shipped out yet. Don't bother calling as no one answers in "customer service." I will be filing a dispute with my credit card company for my money back. Also I will be reaching out to my lawyer becaise these guys have pictures of my son and i dont know what they are doing with them....are they perverts are they using them for unauthorized things?Horrible company. I will be talking to lake county school board about never using these guys in future. Awful. I myself am a Small Business owner and would never do this crap to my patients. The absolute worst!!! You pre-pay for something you may not want, they increase the price once you can see them but you can only view them for a finite amount of time and believe me, it is a matter of hours then if you order, you may or may not get your pics! I could not recommend this place. If you enjoy ridiculously high prices, I guess this is the place you want to go. The facility is what it is, lots of cameras and stuff. But with the prices they charge, I'd expect solid gold wallpaper or something. I won't be using them for anything in the future, they just aren't worth what they charge. read more

Great senior photo experience with both of sons, classes of 2021 and 2023. We had photographer Patrick Rice both times. He took his time and made my boys comfortable. He showed me most of the images as he went along to make sure I was liking how they were turning out. Allowed me plenty of time and patience to adjust their hair, ties, jackets, etc. The owner (Allison Ripcho I believe?) came by as we were making clothing adjustments in the dressing room and even suggested and allowed us to borrow a smaller white dress shirt in my son's exact size because his was a bit too large. They immediately knew a smaller one would photograph better and not bunch up under his blazer. She was right. Everything, including his tie, fell into place much better. She assured us we had all the time in the world and just wanted to get it right. Really wonderful results with my older son's final photos. Waiting to see proofs for my current senior. read more

Did my son's school picture and they are horrible. You can clearly see that he has been photo-shopped onto the background. They miss spelled his name so I am sure it will be miss spelled in the year book!!! Only did chest up, and in order for me to get my money I have to pay the cost to ship them back to them unless I live in the area and I don't. What a waste of time and money and don't pick the green back ground as it is not the same as what is on their website for schools, it almost a bright green not a dark green. read more

I emailed twice and left two voicemails (you can NEVER speak to a person) with no response. I left a vm for Bill Ripcho (the owner?) today so perhaps he will have the courtesy to call me back. Horrible customer service! Ordered prints online, two months later - still no photos. Emailed customer service - NO APOLOGY for being so late, but reprinted. Photos arrived wrinkly from poor packaging and rainy/wet weather. NEVER said sorry, wanted me to send the photos back for refund - the pictures are already highly overpriced - NOT wasting any more money! This is more like Rip-off studio. The pictures didn't turn out well at all (as far as photography and development--my kid actually smiled well) and I contacted them about fixing this and have received no reply. Emails and phone calls have gone unanswered and my $85 is down the drain. These photos are so bad, that I am not going to bother sending them to anyone. What a shame-- I'm very unhappy with this whole experience and I am hoping the school will choose another company next year. read more
